I go there occasionally too...hope the food still good. Just not convenient during raining
@@jsia3716 The food standard is more or less the same. Ideal for big group gatherings so that you can try many different types of food. Indeed, it is a bit inconvenient when it rains but an umbrella would help to walk that short distance to the main door.
@crazyjarjar was it crowded when you go? I'll go again some day
@@jsia3716 When I arrived, it was quite empty. By 7 pm, the indoor seating was full and the outdoor seating was almost fully occupied too. So business is still pretty good.
never been to this part of Singapore
We can check it out if the timing fits, when you come over in Jan...
@ sure , we should make time for this
The park look so empty today.
@@jsia3716 Probably due to the rainy season, and perhaps it is at one far corner of Singapore. Or most people were out of the country? 😅
I enjoyed the video. It is packed with so many beautiful sceneries and greenery, refreshing moments and feelings. There are many chickens in the park. Are they wild ones or taken care of by anyone? Or, is Pasir Ris Park reserved nationally by the local government office or NGO or so? I can rarely see chickens walking around in the park in Japan but dogs and cats. The view of the tree leaves looked up from the below is a beauty beyond description. That view itself is a mental therapy, and seeing greenery and being in the middle of it, feeling what you sense should also be so. Very Nice!!!
Thank you! Indeed it was refreshing and therapeutic to walk among the beautiful trees at the park. This is a park under the jurisdiction of the National Park Board (now known as NParks), a statutory board of the Singapore government responsible for enhancing and managing urban ecosystems. The chickens are roaming freely on their own. There are many other parks in Singapore with their own chicken battalion! 🤣 In the next weekend, perhaps you should go check out a nearby park that is filled with autumn leaves and share with everyone? 😊
@@crazyjarjar I see the many parks are under the jurisdiction of the NParks, so chickens and roosters can do whatever they do, roaming freely, fighting with each other. It is like a heaven for chickens. But putting yourself in this kind of atmosphere is a therapy enhancing mindfulness and relaxation. I wish I could be there, roaming back to chickens, playing around with them😄
To me, mental health is my emotional wellbeing in knowing how I am feeling and how I cope with and handle stress and my life's challenges. Mental health is as important as physical health. In fact they affect each other and is important for overall wellbeing.
I see many recipes season the beef.. i shall try it next time too✌️
@@jsia3716 I am sure there are many other better ways of seasoning the beef. Try different ways to discover your favourite! 👍
Wow! It must have been many years ago that I had last gone to this place. Luckily, I still remember the tower. 😂
Yeah, indeed it has been quite a while since I last went there too. We should visit some of these old favourites once in a while! 😊
Look so nice❤
It was good 👍. Thanks!
No hum??😂😂
HAHA... I was guessing someone would ask this question. If cockles were available, it would have been great as my mom likes them. 😜
look yummy…
It was pretty good. You can also give it a try 👍
ok. will try
Yeah, Ma Po Tofu and Black Sauce Squid, yeah, they must be one of the best matches with rice, NICE, lor!!!
Yeah, indeed we finished up every bit of it! 🤣
Is it spicy?? No lime??
It is just slightly spicy. Yes, I should have added lime, but I didn't manage to buy it, so made do without it 😊
Hi my friend Iam1st like and comment ❤ Thank for sharing good recipe
Thank you!
Haven't been there a long time. Thanks for sharing!
@@jsia3716 Lots of food options there... go check it out 😄
This kinda of fish has many bones??
The fish meat comes off easily. There is only the middle bone and you won't need to engage in a bone battle with your teeth 🤣😂
The path on water edge is so close to water!!
@@jsia3716 Yes, there is quite a long stretch of about 150m where the water edge is just next to the board walk, and the width of the board walk is about 1.2m wide 😬
@crazyjarjar sure you enjoyed... I will fumble in that narrow path😬😬
@@jsia3716 Haha... have not heard of any incidents of people falling in so far. Should be pretty safe... some people run on it too 😬
I love Fried Bee Hoon, and can eat it every day with a beer. I can't get enough of it, lor...
I don't recall seeing fried bee hoon or vermicelli being sold or eaten in Japan. Do you prepare this at home?
@@crazyjarjar No, I don't eat Fried Bee Hoon here. I really miss it very much. If I had my own jet, I could fly over to Toa Payor Hawker center right away to have Bee Hoon party, lor...
@keiji-d3g Haha... let's get a private jet then. See you in Toa Payoh! 😁
@@crazyjarjar That can happen only in my dream when sleeping.😭😭
Something light for a hot and humid Sunday morng!
@@jsia3716 Thinking of what to cook daily can be a challenge 😂😅🤣
They served all day breakfast?? Happy birthday Jar Jar...
Yes, all-day breakfast... but the portions are very generous...
This video is heart-relaxing and gives us the peace of composure needed to live an ordinary life. Ordinary life is full packed with many treasures, though the definition of treasure might be different from person to person Can enjoy the greenery and the waves of the reservoir, and some soothing breeze that will send us tranquility, a relaxed time to think about many things. Thanks for the healing video!!!
Glad my therapy walk videos are giving you peace of composure. There are many things that we can do for ourselves. Sometimes we have to spend money to gain some benefits, but having a walk in the park can definitely bring more value and benefits for us. Do find time to go for a walk in Nagoya and share with me. I am sure the autumn leaves would be at its peak soon in the next couple of weeks!
Yes, the sunlight on Sunday eve was lovely
Indeed the sun has been shining pretty brightly for the past 1 to 2 weeks. The heat can be unbearable throughout the day, but going out for a walk in the late afternoon to get some Vitamin D is still wonderful😄
The next time u can explore walking to MacRitchie Reservoir from Upper Pierce.
@@tanmichelle7399 Good idea! 😄
Very quiet and scenic !! Very peaceful too.. U are quite new ?
Thanks for your comment! Quite new as in? 😊
Walk so fast leh.... more like cycling 😀 enjoy this quiet time
@@jsia3716 Hahaha.. I was treating it as exercise too! 😅🤣
For the broth, I always like to fry the tomatoes then add water etc etc, taste healthy 😁
That is an interesting way to prepare a healthy broth, but it would definitely be too bland for my mom, though she likes tomatoes... so still have to add some seasoning 😁
I feel like eating a noodle now. So go get prawns, mushrooms, lettuce and maybe garlic too at Don Quixote supermarket. Putting a bunch of green onion is very good. Run, run now!!
@@keiji-d3g You are getting good inspiration from the meals I prepare 🤣. Yeah, go grab the ingredients you like!
Ho-liao😋
@@jsia3716 Thanks! One more bowl of rice, please... 🤣😂😅
Garlic and oyster sauce are always the secret ingredients to make taste better, uhm, looks yamy, and should be so! 加油! jarjar!!
Garlic is quite a standard ingredient in my home, and possibly most homes too. Oyster sauce is something like Monosodium Glutamate. In our younger years, everyone was using Ajinomoto to enhance the flavour of their foods... Thanks for the encouragement! 😄
Easy peasy😂
@@chongyuhfen9427 home cooking is not meant to be hard mah 😅
@@crazyjarjar yeah man 👍❤️🩹
@@chongyuhfen9427 Perhaps with the right time, energy and mood, I can try some more challenging dishes 😆
May I know what time was your visit and is this stretch of food only available on certain days?
I was at the Xiang Yuan Kopitiam for breakfast at about 7.15 am on a Saturday and the whole area along that stretch was bustling with people. All the kopitiams were open and the morning market opposite was quite crowded too. When we were back next day at about 1+ pm, Xiang Yuan and the other kopitiams were already closed. So I presume they only serve the breakfast and early lunch crowd. Only 老地方 was still open for lunch and the food was surprisingly pretty good.
@@crazyjarjar Oic, did you try Man Ting Fang Leicha ?
@@ahsiao4728 No, I did not. Is it their signature must-try dish?
@@crazyjarjarKulai is Hakka village so it’s a common dish and their 菜板 is nice too .
Will check these places out soon... thanks!
Looks good! Can’t wait to try at home!
Thanks much for your encouragement. Other people would recommend adding dried shrimps (虾米) too to enhance the fragrance. Would stir-frying the ingredients with homemade lard oil lift this dish a notch higher? 🤣😂
Wow! Yummy! 😊😋
@@jeremiahwoo4854 Thanks! 😅

Hello… can replace coconut milk with fresh milk. I did that to curry chicken….
Yeah, of course you can add milk but for this dry version, coxonut milk would be more suitable and it is more fragrant too! 😅
You take nice and clear video 👍
