Blue Angels Double Tuck Over Roll
Переглядів 15 тис.13 років тому
Two Blue Angels F/A-18 hornets appear to fly as one then break appart at the end as they perform the Blue Angels Double Tuck Over Roll maneuver. 2011 Rhode Island ANG Open House & Air Show. I was lucky enough to be in the right position on the flight line to capture this perfect double tuck over roll. Enjoy!
Kicks ass ! Big Time ! ! !
Nothing will ever beat the inverted double tuck over roll. Expert precision in spacing and airman ship. And it just looks incredible.
How owns the truck.
Who cares about Chris
Only in America you’ll see crazy awesome stuff like this
look at that graceful maneuv... hey crowd, let's not forget this is a warplane... rippin' by at .95 mach... love me some sneak passes!
700 mph???? But yet....no sonic boom.......okkkkkkkaaayyyy...
700 miles per hour is just below mach 1. He has to fly at over mach 1 for there to be a sonic boom, which they aren't allowed to do that at all or else they'd lose their pilots license.
R.I.P Les, Kent, Scott, and Chris
Is that whine at the beginning an electric starter
700 mph and no sonic boom?
Why would there be? That's subsonic at sea level.
@@danielh1708 i was waiting for the poster to reply! I know it is sub sonic, most think that as a commercial plane flies at 400mph that this is beyond supersonc...
@stevenlarratt3638 No, most don't think that at all.
Spine tingles everytime, from a Brit.
Beautiful sunrise and a nice take Off

What a spectacle of obnoxious noise and waste of jet fuel! I wouldn’t want it any other way! Chris Darnell is actually one of the luckiest people to walk the earth. If I had the money, I would do it Chris’s way too! Not many of us will die with a smile on our face. No question Chris Darnell did! RIP
They don't use much jet fuel at all. Lol it's all compressed air.
This used to be the fastest truck on earth.
Great to see, pity we don't get any of that here in Aus. Go Navy.
I fight back tears every time I see this truck now 😪
R.i.p Chris
Blew a tire at speed, crashed and burned.
Riding past the Blue Angels is even better than the extreme display
F the blue angels tgey are daredevils.
I got to meet Les Shockley in San Antonio, Texas back in (guessing) the 70's. Truck was a little different then but, "What A Show " !!
✝️
Had the pleasure of seeing shockwave in person a few times in my life. Rest in Peace Chris Darnell and thank you for thrilling thousands of fans.
The end of an era.
Not the end of anything. There's another Shockwave truck.
Rip Chris Darnell. My heart and prayers are for the family and ShockWave Team.
Rest in Heavenly Peace Chris Darnell
I thought we were about to take flight!! Loved the ride!
Man! So hate to learn of Chris death! Praying for his family! At least he died doing what he loved! Much better than being on a sick bed! He'll be missed!
I was expecting rotation after V1.
I'll never forget the AWESOME power and terror I experienced during a Chicago Air Show when some F-18s snuck up behind the loop from the west and literally exploded on us like a thunderbolt on a sunny day. It was so disturbingly incredible to feel that shock and awe for minutes after the surprise. I felt so humbled to be on the same team. Communist punks have no chance!

Always remember watching the flash fire jet trucks when I was younger. Rip and condolences to the family.
Doing what you love RIP rocket man
Yeah he loved it more than his family. Like a drug addict.
@@veganskeletons4131 What? Why would you say that given he died trying to entertain and excite people?
@@jacobhauenstein okay so he died because he loved trying to entertain and excite people more than staying safe for his family.
@@veganskeletons4131yeah your going straight to hell with this comment
Rest in Peace Chris Darnell 🏁🏁
He died over a stupid stunt. Left a wife and children smh
Sad fact...@@veganskeletons4131
R.i.p Shockwave
RIP Chris Darnell and shockwave
great footage!!
I was fortunate enough to see the Blue Angels perform in the early 80's in Toronto. The entire show took place over the lake, and we watched from Ontario Place. They did a similar trick, where everyone was watching four jets over the water, not realizing two were coming screaming behind us. You really don't hear them until they're overhead. Such a thrill!
Love it....
For someone who has trouble with a fast elevator, that is awesome
The speed of fire.
Eat my vape trail, T-birds! Go Navy!
Whhaaatt ? Howw ???
Sneaky little SOBs. Just be glad you're not the bad guys! Awesome display of tactical surprise but the second should have come from behind!
What a fast ride on that truck
Pretty good camera work. It's tough to anticipate those passes.

That's the old VMFAT-101 bird that honored Marine and Navy Medal of Honor recipients. Pretty neat it was white with green trim.
Best tuck over roll on the internet
doubt 700 mph lol wtf BS
you can see condensation start to form around the second one, that means it's near the speed of sound (~700 mph)
Speed of sound is around 767 mph. 700 mph is still fast so unless you want your ears to pop the plane won't fly past the speed of sound.
@@drdefecation Not really, Nyan. Condensation is a product of ambient humidity, not speed.
@@bertg.6056 You're right, I was mistaken in my comment at the time. Condensation can happen at subsonic speeds because of expansion reducing temperature, while vapor cones have a characteristic cone-like profile owing to the shockwave
It is in fact 700 mph. A common misconception is that the speed of sound is exactly 700 mph. It's not folks, it's 767 mph. The only way, and I mean ONLY way it would create a sonic boom is if it were flying faster than 767 mph, in which case they didn't fly faster than that in this video.
when minutes matter...the Angels will be there in seconds !! thumbs up !!! go Navy ....
