Aera K5 Trucks Preview

This is just a quick glance at the geometry of Aera's K5 Trucks. These are a fully precision truck with a ton of features. This set has 164mm blue hangers with a 50/46 baseplate combo. These came with the stock Hardcore bushings in 85a. The kingpin in this video is titanium, and the "normal" kingpin is just made of steel and has a tall nut. I need these in my life, great aesthetic video. Are they stable? im looking into getting my first set of precision trucks.
They are quite stable. The geometry and width of this truck lends to a relaxed and forgiving ride.
I love the clean and simple lines of Aera trucks - I totally trust them under my feet. I have RF1’s, K5’s and I can’t wait to have a pair of these bad boys strapped to my Werewolf!
It was really sick of me to 50/50 these once before you got to film them

What is the rake on the k5?
Kevin Reimer doesn’t give out those numbers, but the best guess is about 3.5mm of rake.
@@Tallguyskate I recently discovered that K4 has 4.5 and kevin has said that it has almost double the rake of k5 so it should be closer to 2.5
@@sk8bor3d I can see that for sure, the K5s are a little slower reacting than k4s. Both feel great to ride though :)
