Another excellent video. :)
Your overloading the motor and thats why it gets hot. The danger being your will destroy the insolation on the windings and kill the motor
Climbing those hilly roads im sure you could burn your motor out. I seen that you leave your change, i thought you were giving him a big tip, haha. Im sure your riends in Europe would not believe you were feeling cold in 20c heat... Another great ride, thanks.
yeaa it really seems i burned the motor a bit... after this hill it was much weaker. yeaa well... my super thin clothes was the main probem hahaha
@eBike-Adventure I just start watching your next and see you have problems. I tend to watch in parts due to the length of the videos . Really like them 👍
A normal ebike uses a lot of energy if it goes uphill. I've tried running on a smooth road with 100% battery and got a distance of 55-70 kg. But if the road is steep or uphill from 100% battery, the distance that can be achieved will be only 20-25 kg. It depends on the electric bike you choose. If it's a heavy Fatbike, it will run closer than a light E-bike. If it doesn't have electricity, it will be heavy and burdensome. I have a recommended place: Phu Thap Berk.,Sai Yok Noi Waterfall ,Thong Pha Phum National Park It's higher than this but the views are very beautiful. I see you have 4 spare batteries. Why don't you charge it while you sleep at the resort?
interesting thanks a lot :D yes i always charge them at the resort
at 13:09, they're oil palms, the best yield oil maker plant. as country side native I'd say foreigner vlogging isn't something they see much in thier life.
aah thanks a lot :D hehe yeaa i think so XD
Excellent ride out, some good quiet roads, sadly still a lot of dogs. The traffic with all those trucks was worrying. Allen keys are what you had at the start, and one tip keep your tools near the top of your bag saves pulling everything out. look forward to the next part.
haha yeaa thats what you will see soon... getting all my stuff out from the bottom XD
The tree at minute 46:38 I think is a eucalyptus tree that is very popular in the provinces.
aah cool thanks :D
if i was younger i would follow your footsteps sadly im getting on, so its good to follow your journey from youtube, I will still cycle my area but nowhere near your milage. Keep safe.
happy you enjoy experience it on youtube aswell :D definitely keep cycling even just in your area... :D
Your making good distances on that bike. Loving the videos
hell yeaa man I already cycled over 2000km in total with this bike 😆😆
thanks for the video and taking us along your travels. good times. regards.
thanks a lot :D thats gonna be an interesting trip you will see 😂😆
one issue is going anywhere further afield in Pattaya, at some point you have to use or cross Sukhumvit, there's far too many dead-end roads otherwise. edit: The mountain is gold leaf and the reason it has such a flat side is because it was quarried for the runway at U-Tapao for American B52s in the Vietnam era.. Only had one item stolen. my back light i never took it off my bike for one year at the condo, sadly it was taken by one of the monthly tourists.. it was worth about 300baht new 555 The train goes down to Chuck Samet, last time i was on a year ago it was a 9baht journey to and from Pattaya. I will be looking at the train line for a ride out. I never noticed you could ride alongside the track.
yeaa but be warned sometimes the trail along the railway is super bumpy (depending what bike you have)... haha yeayeaa the tourists... off course... I never worry to leave my bike in rural areas but in touristy areas i definitely worry XD
Good ride out. You picked up in most of the vids i have watched so far about soi dogs. one of the bad parts of cycling in Thailand. I note you have an ultra-sonic buzzer. Do these work? Most of the ones going to the temple from Jomtien are pretty quiet. But occasionally they do get a little noisy.
yeaa well... it works about 70%... the young and old dogs they don't hear it but they usually also don't chase me or if, just for play... unfortunately the very aggressive dogs also don't feel bothered about it... I am thinking about ordering a repeller spray... so far I got severely attacked only 2 times where I had to kick the dog away. It often destroys the good vibe while cycling and unfortunately I also see at least 2-3 flat dogs every time at the side of the street which is quite disgusting
@eBike-Adventure I have just ordered one buzzer, just as a precaution. I often see flat snakes but never a dog, yuk!
Amazing that everyone tried to help you.
yeaaa thats the beauty of cycling in thailand... whenever you run into troubles, the people are super happy to help you
The viewpoint at 2:00 , is one of my main rides.
which one do you mean? at the beach?
@eBike-Adventure just where you are talking, where the boats come out of the harbour. I sometimes go there from my condo on beach road down all the quiet roads through wat Na Jomtien, then back up to Jomtien heads, via 2nd road then ride back to my condo via beach road.
@@Khun-Dave thats a nice ride 😎
@@eBike-Adventure went down to Ocean Marina today. Coming back just got to the beach and my peddle came off, sadly only spanner I had wouldn't fit between the crank arm and peddle so couldn't tighten it, kept coming off every 10m, pushed it 4km home 555
uuuuaah what a pain.... yeaa I have a ton of tools carrying with me because just a little single screw can screw up your cycling day XD
I live Jomtien and leisurely cycle around the area, the biggest issue is the traffic, you can't really relax. I generally ride Na Jomtien or upto huay yai where its quieter. I was thinking of buying a cheap escooter, and your channel came up. I will watch your uploads.
great you like my content thanks :D yes I totally agree... cycling in thailand can be extremely stressfull... however, I found out that this is more the case here in chonburi area as there is just sooo much traffic... I cycled in other areas like rayong or recently just went to phetchaburi which is absolutely amazing... I was cycling on a very nice street, absolutely no traffic and beautiful landscape... but yea... I would definitely prefer a cycling environment like europe where I cycled before... much easier to cycle there ;)
Your content is great thank you
thank you man I appreciate it :D
Looking forward to your long journey. I'm amazed how the bike is holding up. Safe travels
haha oh yeaa well... you will see that I will run into some troubles with it during my 700KM trip ;) stay tuned and you will see haha
Are E-bikes in Thailand required to be registered?
haha now that you ask me this I researched it the first time. I never did so far because I see tons of electric vehicles, scooters, ebikes, e-motorbikes driving around without license plate or anything like this.... apparently you don't need to do anything with an ebike that has pedals... Not sure about e-motorbikes. But from experience I can say, I passed quite a few police stations and officers and they usually just wave and smile. I think its important to say that you should just follow the traffic laws, wear a helmet (which is mandatory as I read) and probably dont drive with 80km/h through the streets.... let's see what the future brings but for sure it is waaaay less regulated than back in europe. I had an ebike in europe and its a pain because you are not allowed to have a throttle, not more than 25km/h and not more than 250 watt motors which is a pain when it goes uphill ;)
@@TheTurk56523 as long as they are only 500watt, that's legal for ebikes. But higher they should be classed as scooters and I guess registered. I see many well over 500watts, and I don't think anyone takes notice of the rules.
@ yeaa thats definitely the case
Great video. thanks.
happy you like it :D I love doing this kind of videos :D
Enjoyed the video. and I am in Hue Hin. I want to get an ebike,....
amazing man... I am right now at this moment near hua hin cycling around in phetchburi... amazing province here
Nice views and journeys. Some people would also be interested in how much milage you are achieving with the battery etc. Also what's the name of the dog deterrent your using?
one battery pack front and rear battery I get about 80km on flat areas with small hills limited to 25km/h... My current dog repeller is a no name cheap device... I definitely need to get a better one. I see it works often but still only about 60-70%... I think a good device will help much more
I will be amazed if you can drive up the hills of Koh Chang. Good luck.
haha no I actually can't drive up such steep hills... that motor is not really strong even though its a 1000W motor... it really struggles with steeper hills
Well done. Amazing 400km on a cheap Chinese e bike and no problems.
honestly I think its pretty decent quality for this price... I am right now on a 700km trip to khao yai... let's see if it lasts the entire trip XD
I watch all your video, your video editing is very good
thanks man... I actually stopped editing too much... In all my old videos I had a lot of effects and music... I wanna keep it raw and real now ;)
You should buy Dog repellent for a smooth trip
haha I have man I have :D I talk about it in some of my videos... it works quite good... about 70% of the dogs run away from it ;)
good adventure mate
thanks man :D I really enjoyed that hotel 😆
@ 😂😂😂
May Allah bless you
Almost there!
one more short leg 😆
be Safe dude...Koh Chang is so amazing but has some big steep hills
thanks man :)
How is the bike holding up? Stay off the lao khao.
pretty good. I'm really surprised about the good quality for such a cheap price
Loving this trip being that I live in Thailand. What is the make and model of the bike?
amazing where do you live? not quite sure if this is actually a brand or not... its directly from the factory from china. I got it from alibaba and the name on it is Urban drift
@CyclingAdventure I am in Issan region. Do you know the motor size?
@@russellprout723 yes i have a 1000W motor... the bike is also available with a 700W motor
you buy or rent the bike? if so how much and where? korp kun krup
I bought it from alibaba very cheap for 900 usd
Nice trip! I like it!
happy you like it :D
All the best, Happy journey, much love from India ❤❤❤
