Planting Corn in Check Rows
Переглядів 9 тис.3 роки тому
This is an instructional video explaining how to plant a field of corn in a check row pattern.
That was doing things the hard way. That was before my time. We were cotton farmers and did some hard work but not like that. We have come a long way.
A little more thought into the design could have eliminated the wire.
I wonder how long it took to plow an acre.
an acre originated in the middle ages as the amount of land a single person with 8 oxen could plow in a day.
Yea Boy...Bet those things never messed up. LOL Some technology is a good thing.
Ive got the same exact planter but mines IHC. Its got some of the check ro stuff here the ire goes.. Nobody did that in the Missouri River foothills as the ground was too steep to keep straight rows, but I imagine all the to do that you so expertly explain caused some farmers to say piss on that lol
Just found your channel. Nice.
The good way to do the feeding.
Well made video and explanation
Thanks for this very nice video
excellent job of restoring the bean thrasher , keeping the old ways alive ,
Now that was back in my dad hayday equipment lol
WOW! It isn't easy being a farmer - in the past or now! What an innovative machine to use with a horse!!! Necessity IS the mother of invention!!
Where’s the part 2, the cultivation?
It's nice to see what you all have been up to over the winter. You have a beautiful view of the mountains.
I don´t think abandoning this machine was only about weeds, though. Combine planters are way more productive and far less labour intensive.
that is well cared for machinery , great job
Well done!!
