I met the animator of Pumbaa (Tony Bancroft) at a church in Burbank, California in 2019. I took a picture with him and spoke to him in Mickey's voice. I met the voice actress of young Nala (Niketa Calame) at Mouse-Con in Bakersfield, California in 2024. I spoke to her in Mickey's voice and asked her where she audition to be a voice actor at Disney.

I became very obsessed with Lilo and Stitch since November that I wanted a crossover with Stitch. I feel like Stitch and Donald Duck would be great buddies though they hate each other at first like Woody and Buzz from Toy Story hated each other at the beginning but their adventures led them to being friends and I feel that Stitch and Donald should have that chemistry. Though it may never happen sadly but never say never.

This previously considered ending would have mimicked the transformation from a tadpole to a frog, but the ending that made it into the movie mimics the transformation from a caterpillar to a butterfly (going into an inactive stage, and when Pinocchio is seen active again, he is in the desired form.)

Also about the "dunk the teacher in ink", if anybody here remembers the 90s computer game Midnight Rescue, the premise is that the Master of Mischief, Morty Maxwell, wants to erase the Shady Glen School with disappearing paint and the object is to capture the villain. I think the reason it's a school he wants to commit an enormous amount of vandalism on is because kids hate school and he's trying to get rid of the place kids hate.

I think the "dunk the teacher in ink" was supposed to represent forgetting about school, because part of how Pleasure Island was too good to be true was that one wouldn't need to go to school there.

I can't find what music they used

Me, an early music aficionado: "Hey, that pidgeon would have never used the Kodály solmization - It was the Middle Ages, and he'd have used the Guidonian hexachordal solmization: 'Ut-Re-Mi-Fa-Sol-La/Re-Mi-Fa'! I cannot stand that historical inaccuracy!"😁😁. Apart from that, it's interesting to notice those early sketches were more cartoonish both in the character design and in the execution of the concept. I much prefer what they eventually ended up with, and I expecially prefer the fact they've kept the archery tournament from both the original legends as well as from Scott's "Ivanhoe" (which has had a huge influence on all of the Robin Hood tales and retelling since its release), but I think this movie would have deserved being expanded into an animated series too. I know some comic books had been released, I once was also able to read one and find it convincingly, but this scene and many other discarded ones might have easily made their way into a series.
