Taking my Ducati Scrambler Icon Dark home for the first time.

This video is of me taking my new Ducati Scrambler 800 home from the dealership. I didn't test ride this bike before buying it so this was my first official ride on it. It's a beast.
Is this the icon 800cc ?
nice exhaust sound
Fun fact That dude on a blue bike, I guess it was an Yamaha Tracer, with black T-shirt write "ROTA" on his back, is brazilian. That Logo is from an elite police in São Paulo, Brazil. So I'm assuming he used to be a policeman back in Brazil
Dude.. I have to say... your audio capture is something else... perfect! Love your videos... I lived in London for 3 years and I also have a Ducati Scrambler with open pipes.. cheers
How mach?

Wtf
Yes wtf. Very close call 😅
you nearly got yrself
Yes I did 😓
Shouldn't really have been undertaking there should you more om
You are absolutely right but sometimes we can get impatient and the slightest of opportunity can be tempting🫢
South Wimbledon
Traffic ain't an issue, it's the little roadmen on Peds, that come and jack your bike and chef you up
I always try to go slow when filtering through traffic. Better to be safe than sorry. Ride safe ✌️
It looks very dangerous for riders in this city
Dangerous but I love city rides.

Y'all are great riders out there. So much going on and you keep it cool throughout. I am from Suburbia, California, and I deal with 1/25th of all that. Bravo. Btw, your exhaust sounds great and would never be legal in my state. Ride safe, y'all!
If you are riding a motorcycle then you always need to keep cool and not to take any unnecessary risks. Other thing to keep in mind is that we are always learning. Ride safe my friend.
2:15 Too much going on.
London is a very busy city. 😊
So much drama on the streets
This is one of the reasons I like to be on the road on a motorcycle. You get to see what’s going on in the world. Drama + chaos 😛
Some of these people having some kind of deathwish or so? Nice bike and sound. Stay safe man.
Thanks for the compliment. The sound is a lot better in real. I am trying to make adjustments with the mic for better sound. In my opinion people drive very dangerously in London. You need to take care of yourself if your on the bike.
Enjoyed that, followed my old commute home to Clapham South, several decades ago.
I am glad you enjoyed it. Has It changed a lot over the decades?
lmao
The road is a dangerous place. Stay safe ✌️
Such a good sound - and great riding
Thank you The whole purpose of the videos are to look back at your riding skills and improve. While riding you don’t really notice how you ride and the mistakes you make. More videos to come. Please subscribe, your support will be highly appreciated. 😊
@@justridelondon Want to get this bike for 2023. It's so confusing in EU though, the exhaust regulations that is. Considering getting a 2016 model instead of new just to avoid euro5. Argh
Regardless of what year model you get you will love the scrambler. It’s powerful enough to be on the highways and more than powerful in the city. Good luck 🤞
@@justridelondon Haha Well the new 2023 model looks terrible, so definitely going for an older model now. Decided on a 2020 -old enough to be euro4, yet new enough to have gear indicator and cornering abs. Do you use the quadlock without a vibration dampener? Getting that before the bike (black friday discount); anything you'd set up differently about it? Thanks!
Yes. I just saw the new models. I did not like how the exhaust pipe coming out of the engine. 2020 is perfect, I think I have 2021 model. Good luck my friend 😊
Royal Jordanian vives🔥 That's nice sound!! I can't wait you wiil post next video!!
Haha I cannot compete with Royal Jordanian he’s the best of the best. The sound is still softer in the video than in person so need to fix that. Will upload next video soon and hopefully bring better content for you guys every time. Thanks for the the nice comment. ✌️
Sounds amazing. Thinking about getting sc project for my 2020 cafe racer. Love that sound.
It sounds a lot better in person than through the camera. A little too loud 😂 but hey definitely your riding experience will get more enjoyable with the bang bang 💥
Would you mind showing the new slip on on your Icon ?
Hello, I am planning to make one video just of the slip on soon. Pls sub so when it’s uploaded you can get the notification.
😬😬😬 handle bar is too wide for lane splitting. Bar end mirror is not useable
Yes the handle bar is too wide. I will change is soon and putting the var end mirrors. 😊
Very good POV. As if I was riding the bike. Of course this Ducati sound very nice. Seriously considering one as well. Thanks dude !
They sound awesome. Check out the latest video, nice sound and ride. 😊
Sounds really good, did you do a remap? Which model SC is that?
Thanks it sounds even better in person. I haven’t ramped yet but will be doing it soon. It’s the CT-R model. My rides just got more fun 🤩
Would you recommend this bike as a first bike for a beginner?
To be honest this bike might have too much power for a new rider. Get a 300cc to start on and then move to bigger cc once you are comfortable in handling a motorbike. But if your really want an 800cc a then go for it but I will always recommend to start with a smaller cc bike. In the beginning you are going to make mistakes so learn on a small one first. I started my journey with Kawasaki Ninja 300 😊
Go faster next time, no-one will harm you!
The max I have done is 105mph on the highway. Very powerful motor.
great video buddy :)
Thank you
I have the icon dark and love it, I’ve changed to lower bars from the full throttle as black Termi exhaust and genuine Ducati billet indicators and Rizoma tail tidy and custom seat.
Good to hear from a fellow scrambler rider. It’s a great fun bike to ride. I am also thinking of changing the handlebar to a lower one to get some retro/sporty feel. At the moment the bike is all stock parts. If you can pls share a pic of your bike so that I can get an idea how the lower handlebars look.
@@justridelondon more than happy to send you a picture
Is it comfortable to ride?
It is very comfortable. I am 183cm and I have no problems. The sitting position is upright and comfortable.
Where did you get the phone bracket?
I got it from Quad Lock. Nothing beats them. www.quadlockcase.co.uk/
