The Puddcast 139 Sabbatical Reflections | "Love is working"
After a year-long hiatus, The Puddcast is back with episode 139! Tryphena and I share some heartfelt reflections on my family’s six-month sabbatical to New Zealand, England, Greece, and Finland. I unpack some unexpected discoveries I made about identity, intuition, and the importance of family and cultural roots. We reflect on the diversity of global faith traditions, the impact of stepping outside the North American bubble, and the recognition of humanity's inherent goodness and love.

Learn to love yourself at a You Are Enough seminar [with Jonathan Puddle]

If I asked you to name your favourite things-the things you love-how long would it take for you to name yourself? If you’re anything like me, you have tried to serve God and love others without thinking too much about yourself. I doubted and even hated myself for years-until the words of Mark 12:31 stopped me in my tracks, “Love your neighbour as yourself.” Welcome to an intimate and transforma...

    12:43. You have to be kidding! The film was awful. Most of the powerful dialogues between Mack and Trinity are gone. Which are the very backbone of the book. The build up is way too long. Mack is mis-cast (way too young). The only good thing about the film are the back stories Paul tells about it. Worst adaptation of a book in my opinion. Loved the book to pieces, detest the film as toothless.

    While there is diversity on men’s path and indeed God might bless him is also important to know that there is a limit for everything. You might die thinking you can do anything and have God’s blessing because He is relentlessly good. Take a look around you and see if everyone is blessed! No! Why??? Prob 19:3 “When a man’s folly brings his way to ruin, his heart rages against the LORD”.

    There is a proverb I memorized as a teen, "Every man chooses his own path, but the Lord directs his steps." Many of the verses I memorized in my teens read differently today online. There are multiple KJV Versions, known by year, and I will quote my memory above...

      JESUS CHRIST IS THE CURE FOR COVID-19: PUT ON THE WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD. Dear saints of God, how are you? I thought I would share what God showed me with you. You may or may not know this, but THE BODY OF CHRIST is under satanic attack. There are too many saints and Pastors alike still passing away prematurely. I personally believe there's "something in the water and food", there are too many people getting sick and dying. As we rapidly approach THE END OF THIS AGE AND THE RAPTURE OF THE CHURCH, it seems that we are all now in The Healing Ministry (Matthew 24:1-8; Luke 21:11, 25, 28, 36; Acts 2:19-20; Revelation 3:10). As I'm sure you well know it's not about receiving healing from God, but rather it's about "keeping your healing and maintaining your health (Hosea 4:6)." Due to the current health situation in our country and NEW DISEASES, as well as the introduction of TRANS-HUMANISM (Daniel 2:43); I personally believe we will all need The Baptism of The Holy Spirit, The Whole Amor of God and The Gifts of Healings in order to survive in these last days. If you desire to walk in the gifts of God in these last days and be a blessing to The Body of Christ and others, then you should do the following: fast for 24 hours, NEITHER EAT NOR DRINK ANYTHING. Then go to God The Father in the name of his son Jesus Christ and ask him for THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT (Luke 11:9-13) and for THE WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD (Ephesians 6:10-18) and also for THE GIFTS OF HEALINGS (1 Corinthians 12:1-[9]-11, 31; 14:1). God will surely give them to you (Matthew 7:7-8; Mark 11:24; John 16:23). After you receive them, begin fasting and praying in the Spirit on a regular basis; this must become a part of your lifestyle (Matthew 17:21; 1 Corinthians 7:5; Jude 20). THE RAPTURE IS VERY NEAR: 1) How Much Longer Lord? Waiting On God's Perfect Timing! :ua-cam.com/video/VgAfLbTqX-g/v-deo.html (6:44 min.) 2) The 7 Feasts of The Lord are prophetic (Colossians 2:17). The Rapture will occur on a FEAST OF TRUMPETS, "at the last trump" 1 Corinthians 15:52 : //ua-cam.com/video/0_QLhUxg8pc/v-deo.html (10 min.) 3) Aliens and the End Times Deception: ua-cam.com/video/SnV7_YmhFCk/v-deo.html (15:42 min.) 4) Mid-East Prophecy Update - August 27th, 2017: ua-cam.com/video/Uegywhqtf7I/v-deo.html (32:04 min.) 5) Rock Harbor Church Prophecy Update 5-3-20: ua-cam.com/video/th-dHoOFvEk/v-deo.html (43:30 min.) 6) The Falling Away, Spiritual Departure or Physical Rapture? by Dr. Andy Woods 6A) Watch "The Rapture Comes First, 2 Thessalonians 2:3 - June 14th, 2020" on UA-cam: ua-cam.com/video/Us7-jOaEDis/v-deo.html (42:38 min.) 6B) Watch "Ask Gary: The Falling Away" on UA-cam: ua-cam.com/video/8WJbA9cg1MI/v-deo.html (7:33 min.) I dont understand... if, eventually... "every knee will bow..." doesnt that prove that (eventually) everyone in afterlife who are "outside gates" will (eventually and WILLFULLY) choose to dwell in in the house of the Lord forever? Please help me understand why you believe some will stay in darkness forever if Christ's work is truly "finished" ?

      Hey Nissa! Thanks for stopping by. You've actually hit the nail on the head. I feel best if I leave room for the possibility that people will continue to reject God for eternity, but I have great hope that all hearts will turn in time, as you have said. I can see how some knees might bow grudgingly to the Lord while not accepting his love, but my hope is certainly that all knees will bow willingly, in the end.

    Yes, thank you so much for posting this... I knew Jarrid personal and used to serve with him years ago... I legit was up half the night posting comments on videos about his death, because so many were saying unnecessary things instead of seeing the truth and reality that this is a stronghold and very real attack the enemy has gone full force with on the church and Christian community... The devil is going to any and everything he can to cause separation in the church, because he knows when we are united that he does not stand a chance... We are in a real war and the enemy does not fight fair at all... I truly believe that the reason suicide is higher in men then woman is because it's not appropriate for men to have emotions other then happy or angry :( Thank you so much for your words, I am going to share this on my page...

    • @JonathanPuddle
      @JonathanPuddle 5 років тому

      Ahhh! You nailed it right there: "It's not appropriate for men who have emotions other than anger or happiness." So, so true. I've spent the last year learning to feel all my emotions, and I am desperate for other men (and women) to come into this freedom. Thank you for your kind words, and as someone who knew Jarrid personally, my heart goes out to you especially. I'm so sorry.

    Well I'm currently using my husband's phone to watch this video and respond.But I'm also just thinking of something we may do in the Christian community. When you do express feelings or emotions. You are therefore told, "don't declare that". Many people do this. They say to not speak of the negative or anything at all that could give the enemy ammo. So people stay sick. They stay hurt and truly are sensitive. So by doing this it creates grounds for the enemy to come in and keep people down. Jesus said we are our own worst enemy. When things like this happen I remember that. It all just makes me think so deeply about their pain and suffering. My heart aches for them. I've struggled with issues that were very dark and could only wonder how deep they truly were rooted. Getting help and pressing on God truly helped me personally. It's the root of it we so rarely get to. Yet it's our responsibility as a community to make sure there our outlets for pastors and others alike. To make sure that as the Body of Christ. If there is sickness and pain that we do all we can to remedy that. With prayer and action. We may not be able to physically help everyone but a chain reaction can happen. The conversation can happen. We have a Mighty God and all we need to do is ask and take action. So many issues need to addressed and this one is truly serious.

    • @JonathanPuddle
      @JonathanPuddle 5 років тому

      I so agree! I've spent years not naming things because of the fear of speaking them out. It only brought disintegration. As I have accepted my feelings (not necessarily acting on them!) it has allowed me to heal and actually grow in God. Thanks for sharing this.

      My mom used to complain about certain pains and bleedings to my dad. He rebuked her for speaking negative things. But later, she was diagnosed blood cancer. All the regrets dad had thinking only if he had given the medical attentions she needed earlier. But, my mom is a woman of faith. She was healed from the terminal leukemia in 2010. Now she's alright and as strong as any women of her age could be. From that day onwards, we have been spreading the goodnews

    It is always the will of the Father to be healed. Just because it doesn't always happen, it doesn't mean it's not God's will. Matthew 17 shows that the Disciples couldn't cast out a demon but Jesus did. So it didn't happen, but was it God's will? Yes. And Jesus literally told them why it didn't happen: 'your lack of faith' . And that's not condemnation, that's the truth. It's always the will of God to heal. Bless you brother.

But then I was prayed over at a parish retreat last year and received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and Fire. I've never experienced anything like it before! "Holy laughter" is never ever Christian. Such nonsense is never from the God of the bible. It is closer to a kundalini pagan frenzy. Blasphemous and hererical.

    • @JonathanPuddle
      @JonathanPuddle 5 років тому

      Hey Chandler! You know what? At one point in my life, I think I would have agreed with you. Holy laughter seems strange, excessive and unnecessary. I distanced myself from it for a while for this reason. As I studied Scripture, however, I found we had a God who is strange, excessive and does things that often seem unnecessary. His ways are higher than ours and he owes our rational minds no explanation for why he does what he does. As I got closer to the Lord through the Bible and through study, I became increasingly aware of his presence in my life. When I revisited churches that welcome the presence of the Holy Spirit, I sensed the exact same presence. I put my trust in the power of God's goodness rather than in the power of the enemy's deception. I've seen people experiencing holy laughter who were faking it, and that's a shame. But I've also seen people come up off the floor after spending time in God's presence laughing, crying, etc. and they are radically transformed into the likeness of Christ, having been released from years of pain and trauma and having had their hearts turned towards the Messiah. This is fruit we are told to look for, but it's fruit we'll never see unless our hearts and minds are open to possibilities that seem strange tonus at first. Grace and peace to you.

      Laughter can be a result of Joy. Now is joy 'kundalini pagan frenzy'.

      A gift of the spirit is self control. I will follow the Gospel taught by the Apostles in Scripture. And heed their warnings of a false one.
