The Deeply Rooted Podcast by Planting Roots
Приєднався 4 вер 2016
Military women and wives desire connection, stability, hope, and joy. Dealing with multiple moves, frequent deployments, and questions regarding careers, we still must continue to develop relationships, build marriages, and raise children. Usually far from family, these challenges can seem insurmountable to accomplish on our own and finding what we need almost impossible.
As military women and wives ourselves, we have walked familiar roads and searched for the same things. What we have come to know and understand is that we do not conquer these obstacles or find the answers on our own. Our only hope for these things is Jesus.
Planting Roots has a vision that military women and wives will be deeply rooted in Christ, no matter where they find themselves. In order to fulfill this vision, our goal is to build a community providing connection and biblical foundation, challenging each other to find our stability in Christ and His purpose for us in the places we are planted.

great
I 100% agree, these debates about transgenderism and other ridiculous topics make me upset. It’s easy to lose myself and become angry and mean. I love everyone but I can feel myself slipping when I debate on UA-cam or Facebook. I never start a debate angry, people just like to be rude so I return the energy they give me.
Loved your conversation, y’all are on the right path. None of us knows what tomorrow brings, so we make the best decision with the information we have now. There will be seasons of life that require completely different decisions than you are making now. If you are keeping God at the center of your decision making you’ll be just fine.
All religion is garbage
Ya'll took televangelism to some new, concerning heights
Matthew 24:14 refers to the good news of the kingdom the kingdom in which is mentioned in Matthew 6: 10 and also Daniel 2: 44 Jesus started the preaching campaign of God's kingdom that was to come and is 3 years of ministry at Matthew 28: 19-20 he gave the commissions for his followers / disciples to Gola and preach about this kingdom and make disciples of other people and that he would be with him until the conclusion of this system of things, so the gospel is the kingdom message The only solution to mankind's problems because it can eliminate hunger, prejudiced, famine, sickness, and it's king can forgive sin, he has authority over the elements and this kingdom will not be passed on to anyone else again it's the only solution to mankind's problems and its leader is the only one that can accomplish the things that mankind needs done.
Listening underway! Great podcast ladies!
So good! Liz I miss you. Erin excited to get to know you-April
Wahoo!! Great job, Erin and Lauren!!!
Super excited about this Planting Roots Podcast series hosted by Erin Johnson!! ❤
Loved this, ladies! 🤩 Wow. I listened and then also realized you had a video up here and listened through a second time 🤣 I’m looking forward to more 🇺🇸🙏
One of my favorite attributes of God! Loved hearing your story about his faithfulness in your life, Kori!
No doubt you have stories as well. Life does that for us, but military life seems to do it in extravagant fashion. :)
I struggle with chocolate/sweets in the same way. "I'll just eat it all to get it out of the house." 😂
Interesting Thank you for sharing
Hard to pick a favorite. Probably Romans, but Colossians and Galatians are great too!
My favorite book is Ephesians. I love the foundational truths of our identity in Christ that Paul reminds us in this book.
Paul again, yes? I love his letters too and Ephesians is such a great foundational book of who we are in him and what he's called us to!
I’m torn. I really love how encouraging and challenging Paul is, but I love the woman at the well also. Jesus approached her with such tender love and care. He made her know how loved she is and immediately she ran away, proclaiming his name. She was immediately changed and unafraid, regardless of her past, to tell others of who she had met.
I love them both!! I love Paul's boldness and courage and the woman at the well is so relatable in how feel about God's grace and love to me.
Not a favorite scripture… but right now I’m hanging on to Job! Oh to have his faith❤
My mom introduced me to Jesus!
Oh!!! Don't you love those amazing moms?!?!
My mom introduced me to Jesus 💕
Gotta love a mom that points you to Jesus!!
For me, it’s important that the place I am a member of reflects my values. Personally, recognizing the Trinity and how everyone who is a believer is filled with the Holy Spirit, as we see in Acts 2. A couple other important aspects are that the church stands firmly behind loving all, because we’re all created in God’s image; and stands up for justice, because God has called us to care for the widows, orphans, and foreigners. I also believe the church shouldn’t shy away from hard topics, because they need to be exposed in order for healing.
Such important things to look for. I also agree the Church shouldn't shy away from hard topics. If we can't talk about the hard things how does Christ ever enter into those places? Question - do you check out the church online before going?
Amen! I am a daughter of the King with an inheritance in the kingdom of heaven. Standing on this truth gives me confidence to put one foot in front of the other.
Truth can truly help us be brave!!
I am friendly.
We love this! In our military community this makes a world of difference!!
I am a daughter of the King, who is sitting in God's waiting room.
You truly are his sweet daughter. 💗
Praise the Lord we get to return to school in person and mask-less.
In person makes such a difference! This is super exciting - thank you, Jesus!
I find God’s protection every time I drive through a thunderstorm-literally! Monsoon season is no joke in 🇰🇷. Knowing he’s gonna get me to my destination safely is a blessing.
Monsoon season in 🇰🇷 is no joke!! Love how you seek God in the midst of it!!
This is a great reminder for us to be focused on prayer . Setting my watch timer right now!
Us too!!!
Great explanation, Kori. Thanks!
Right now, my favorite song is Better Than Good by Todd Galberth. It’s based on Psalm 34. I love singing the Psalms back to the Lord. I’ve been playing it on repeat.
I love that song!! I also love singing Scripture!
The first time I visited a chapel was at Carlisle Barracks. My mother in law actually asked that I take her and it was a pivotal moment in my walk with the Lord. It was the moment I began attending church again regularly. The morning we went they were handing out fliers for the Christmas program for the women’s ministry, so it opened the door for me to get involved there too. I have learned so much through the chapel simply because of the multitude of denominations represented.
Love how God introduced you to chapel - and even more exciting that he's helped you see the blessing in that place!
We attend InFocus church.
Love this! Don't you love a "home" church?
My favorite part of the church we belong to here is the diversity. There are people from all walks of life, all cultures, and all ages. I love that our kids see so many different people serving God.
I love the story of Ruth. The fact that she was an “outsider” who because of her loyalty and faithfulness and because of God’s grace, Christ was born from her offspring.
I do love the story of Ruth - a great story that reminded us that it wasn't her ethnicity or history that made her part of God's people, but her faith.
I grew up in church! So thankful for those years of foundation.
This is amazing ! Wow! What a great recap! Amen!
Thank you!! So glad it was a blessing to you!
cool 😎 guitar Pic necklace!
Wonder where we got it. ;)
Just lovely! Very inspiring MB.
I love this!! 😂😂😂
So do we. haha
Beautiful!
Beautiful, ladies!

So glad you joined us!! We agree - fantastic event from military women and wives in pursuit of Jesus most of all.
What an amazing opportunity! May God bless Planting Roots!
Thank you!!! So glad you could see this fun recap - and for praying blessings over all God is doing here. ps. Love your channel!!
Thank you for giving us a break down on how the writing and collaboration process for Nehemiah evolved. Praise God for the gifts and every team member that prayed, helped and worked on it. May God’s favor and blessings be with each person that reads and uses it to dive deeper into God’s word.
How wonderful is this!!! Praise God and I’m so excited to get it.
Know the hymn well.
