Kinda defeats the purpose of a quiet, tranquil spot and loud obnoxious music.
Steve Kenyon steals the show. And the OTHER Steve behind the scenes deserves mad props too.
Andy ❤
Go andy!!!
This is KILLING! Man Andy go man go
I know this place!
I remember it well!!
Nice relaxing way to spend a weekend. I subscribed so I won't miss any upcoming episodes.👍👍
Do you have any more of this session online?
Hi Mark.......the vhs tape is messed up. When I get time i'll try to rebuild it and find a working vhs player. Thanks
Played with Mike many years ago...Monster player waht a loss...
I never did know for sure what happened to Mike. Did I hear correctly that he was killed by a car while walking across the street?
"Spaniards kill them all" is a perverse narrative that no body takes the time to confirm. Actually General Custer and many others almost kill them all. Where you see american indians living today (from nirth pole to south pole), is because spaniards not only never "kill them all" but in turn, help them to jump culturally with a written language, arts and crafts, merging ancient native values with christian ones, marrying them from the beginning, etc. Brits never did that ! For all those that feel true love for universal knowledge, I invite them to search a little bit more in deep, to know what language most of the Big Indian Chiefs SPOKE AND WROTE in the XIX century of the USA. Therefore, please, stop to spread the Blak Spanish Legend, so perversely publicised by England and the Netherlands against the Spanish Empire (XVII century) with all those unconfirmed tale telling and propaganda. By the way, all the african slaves that could flee to Spanish Florida, became instant freedom. So you can now appreciate more possitively the Spanish Culture of all the centuries, specially the Golden Century, the first novel ever written (not of Mr Shakespeare, however they were great and famous too), the paintings, their big and almost invict sea battles (Duke of Alba, Adm. Bazan, Adm. Blas de Lezos, etc., etc. etc.). Big, really big sailors ! My friends, do you know that Australia has its name from the House of Austria, whose spanish explorers discovered and circumnavigated that subcontinent in the name of the Spanish-German Emperors (Charles V and his son Phillip II) ?
You shouldn't mention the boat if you're not going to feature the boat, You should be called touring the river while looking at 1' of the front of a nomad boat
Ho hum
Thanks for posting this, I had forgotten about this !
That pine looks a lot like oak.
Try Uncle Norms Dolphin Fin on the prop skid, keeps from wandering back and forth! Back Waters and Back Woods video
I’m in the process of comparing a Nomad and Albin 30. This was very helpful. I appreciate your efforts.
What motor do you have?
Nice...
This is amazing! Was this Gusman? Looks like it was at the cable studio...
That is quite a wake. Are sure you are only going 6 knots?
What did you pay for it?
Between 20 and 35 K. There is the condition, of course, but the hulls are usually very good. plus air conditioning, auto pilot, radar, TV, instruments and all the other amenities (very customizable) added over 30 years.
Do you know of any Nomad Groups online, I have had no luck finding other Nomad owners. Thanks!
Hi Don, congratulations. There is at least one Nomad group on Facebook. Plenty of good ideas can be had just from looking at the pics alone. Owners will respond to questions. All the good tides here in FL are at 2 in the morning now. So I'm also working on cosmetic projects. Can't understand why my girlfriend dosn't like taking the boat out at midnight........go figure. JBF
@@johnfaison3686 Thanks for the prompt reply, John! Sadly I just got sent to FB Jail again, 30 days, so, I guess I will have to wait. Do you know of any off Fb groups/ Cany you post a video of your interior? Do you have a holding tank, and if so, how are liking that setup? Thanks!
Just bought a 92 Nomad, re-doi ng the interior, hop to be on the water by May-Lake Texoma, Texas
Good landing, Cap!
I just put a deposit on a 92 Nomad!
The adventure begins.....
Amazing!! Thanks for sharing.
Do you still have nimble?
Yes....and I use it as much as possible.
@@johnfaison3686 Oh great!!!! I got a man that has a 1998, and hewants to sell it for 12,000 dollars. But my concerns is, that theres must be certain things i should be looking for in order to have a good purchase. What do you suggest me to look for? I read about, to check the underneath of the boat. The rubber test The fiberglass where the engine is. I will greatly appreciate any help. Are those boats for river only. What about choppy water? What the best engine for it?
@@figgiefigueroa7372 Hi Figgie.......always check the transom.....take it for a sea trial if you can.....theses boats are "coastal cruisers". Most nomads came with a Honda 45 or 50. I put a Yamaha 25 high thrust on mine. They are 5-6 knot boats. $12.000 sounds like a good price. Any older boat is a "work in progress".....but they are loads of fun...best of luck
@@johnfaison3686 Friend! Thank you so much for the advice. I do not know what is the transom but,I will Google it to see. There's a knock when he place it in reverse. I seen some videos and they don't have that loud thud, when place in reverse. Any idea what the loud thud may be? So they are for coastal causing!!! Got it !!!! Thanks I really appreciate you!!!!
@@figgiefigueroa7372 Figgy....the lower unit may need a "gear oil" change or may be low on gear oil. If it is the original motor on the boat, it may be getting tired.
Thanks for the video. I'm trying to buy same one you got. But it worries me a thud,in the back when shifting gears. Any advice on what that thud may be?
Awesome! Reminds me of the Brecker Brothers “Rocks”. Great players. A time of great hope and dreams:)
Wow, this brings back a few memories....
What type of speed can you make? What is a good cruising speed?
Hi Jeff...cruising speed is 5-6 knots. To push it faster than that is a fuel waster. Usually around .5 to .75 GPH.
@@johnfaison3686 Thank you for the response John! Could you make 10 knots if you wanted to? Guessing you have plastic portable fuel (gas) tank(s)? How much fuel can you have onboard total? What is your range? Professionally I work aboard a yacht that has 2,000 mile plus range. It's fun to day dream and plan about cruising on my own small boat, on my own terms ;-)
6-7 mph is more normal. It has a 24 gal holding tank. At this speed, it varies, it is .9 gal per hour. So the range is 20 gal (you don't want to run out) times hour/.9 gal times 7 miles/hour =155 miles per tank. Typically there is a 3 to 5 gal spare gas tank aboard too.
@@tonkacaptainsince the hull cannot plane, it is generally limited to the hull speed which is somewhere around 6.6 knots. It’s a matter of physics, essentially when the front wake and the rear wake combine, that is the point when the boat starts trudging through the water, and due to the shape it will never plane. I’m a sailor, and hull speed is a big deal in our world. Sailboats can cheat and get above hull speed, but conditions need to be right. For a motor boat, it’s another story. Hope I helped.
I’m hoping to pick up a 92 Vagabond on the 26th :)
Nomads are cool.😎👍
I appreciate all of the Nomad videos you've posted. As far as I can tell, you are one of only two channels posting Nomad content. Would it be possible to post a narrated walkthrough video detailing the vessel's features and systems as well as your likes and dislikes of this rare and special tiny trawler?
John - Thanks for finding, saving, rescuing or otherwise recreating this. It’s nice to see after 36 years! I hope you’re well. - Steve Kenyon
I love your nomad.
Well, I thought the journey to the secret beach was the most boring Peep Hen video ever produced--I WAS WRONG!! IT'S THIS ONE!!!!
I love Peep Hens, have owned and sailed several, but have to say that this is the most boring video of a Peep Hen ever produced!!
