I must admit I did not watch all of the movie but at least the biggest part. What disappointed me the most was the absence of Edmund. I mean, his world views and open mindedness, in contrast to many adult characters, was really refreshing. And the panther scenes really added some suspense to it all. It was a shame those were ommitted too. The book in general felt raw and very sad. I mean, Frieda had sex with Bertie multiple times without thinking it might get her pregnant until that's exactly what happens. And she's just 15! It was sad to read Barker's death, as he was one of the few characters who still retained a heart, even after the war. The part about the German refugees was heart-breaking. But there were still some glimmers of hope and determination, which I think summarizes post-war Germany perfectly. Overall, the novel was a pleasant read and I wish it had been longer. I am so curious as to what became of the orphaned boys and Frieda and her child. If I had made the movie (or a series) I would have focused less on romance and more on rawness, perhaps added even more characters. But that's just my take.

I adored this book. By Alexis Hall, I've now also read how to bang a billionaire, Rosaline palmer takes the cake, and husband material. Billionaire was a gay and better 50 shades of gray, but still not really up my alley. Husband was enjoyable but needed more Oliver; I enjoyed it and am happy I read it, but I definitely preferred boyfriend material. Rosaline palmer was also fantastic and since you liked boyfriend material, I would definitely recommend checking it out. Note, for all of these I have solely listened to the audiobooks, and the narrator's have been phenomenal

Got to say you did a very good job of explaining the movie. I've seen it at least 5 times and i'd like to see what you got and I missed. Last time I saw it, it was free and now you have to rent it. A lot of people that saw it said that it should have done better at the cinema. People are always manipulating for money and I guess they thought let's show the movie for a couple weeks on Crackle and 100 people will watch it for the first time and tell their friends and then we'll charge to get money from them. Ok, none of this matters, but I would like to watch it again.

Hi Pip, I have used two different ISBN numbers and I'm still in the process of uploading on Ingram platform. The tax forms you talked about is scary. And the pricing too. As per the new pricing, the cost of the book printing is much higher on Ingram and hence with the wholesale discount and all I'm not able to keep the same price as on Amazon. Also, on Amazon, they calculate all the other market place pricing automatically once you enter the desired pricing in USD. For Ingram, I'm having to calculate and decide on pricing for each country--which is a pain, being a newbie in the book market. Your experience would be interesting to know. Does Ingram charge $25 to even change the pricing for each market?

I’m incredibly confused by ingram’s distribution network system. When I go into the print interface, Ingram seems to give you the option to only print the book, as opposed to a “print, Distribute and sell” option. 100% agree with you. It reads more like a financial / business report than a true crime book. And for every non Gucci character we get a lengthy biography of that one person who we never hear again later in the book. So exhausted with this book. You assume is a true crime cause the book is in the true crime section at the bookstores !!!!. I kept wondering why would i need to know what kind of pets Tom Ford & husband had when they moved to Milan? Or why do I need to know this person has a master in whatever ?. I mean lots of useless information.
