Is clone is aslo better?
Where do get a clone from ?
clone is better. orginal cost is just insane for what it is. Ppl are rly stupid to follow this high end watch trend
The problem is that a very good clone cost a fair bit of money. Two problems with buying one (at least). One is that even if the look of it is very very close the quality is not the same, so use one for a couple of years and 100% you will get problems with it one way or other. And trying to sell a clone? You will ALWAYS lose money, usually these clones are worthless after they have been used a while and anyone can detect the problems with them.
Buying a authentic, will loss even more
@@donsocy72Not if you bought one in any other time in history than the last two years. When the hype has adjusted down to a sustainable level Rolex will keep its value like it has done throughout history.
@@truxton1000 when less pple is willing to buy a used Rolex,do u think watch dealer will buy in to stock, trust me,watch dealer will face challenges to sustain their business
@@truxton1000 and u have a solid gold day date,at least the value will grow over time, but any stainless still model out there, consider lucky if u can get a good selling price
The easy way to tell on the old style blue/gold Sub is the dial script. On the genuine watch it looks like it’s printed in actual gold. Not sure how they do it but it looks shiny and like it’s metallic. The copy will have script that’s just high quality gold ink. The newer generation has white script on the dial. They’ve copied that pretty well. Also the genuine watch has AR on the cyclops so when you look at the date it’s always visible clearly. The copy doesn’t and most of the time you’ll get a reflection on the cyclops.

Everyone seeing a submariner assumes it is a fake. It is banal watch, there are hundreds of thousands originals and 10 million fakes, just as good. No need to be beside yourself over it!😂
Great video, very accurate analysis. In my 4.5 years in the game as a watch collector and enthusiast, I collected a lot from AMZWATCH I was thinking I was able to get a blue SD but I'm not vip enough, but I'm not giving up. Hehe. Great video.
It is easy to get if you are willing to pay grey market price (USD18k)
@@arifabdullah7142 Yes, correct! Thanks for watching.
If it didnt have the Rolex crown on the dial. Very few would buy this watch. The cyclops takes up a hige portion of the dial and takes away legibility. There is no marker at 3 oclock because of that stupid cyclops. No lume at 3 or at 12 because of the crown. Hands have little lume and watch is not legible in low light. Rolex just refuse to be innovative and like to rest on their laurels. Each to their own but far better offerings in the horology world and some cheaper.
All watch movements get regulated on production my watch maker told me, just not necessarily cosc regulated.
@@SirBigzalot Agree that almost all are but Seiko is very open about not regulating their movements unless Grand Seiko - wish all Seiko was. Thanks for watching.
I absolutely love watches, the high end watch brands are out of my budget but the MAMACOO has literally an almost duplicate of every single watch on the market . Always a great but no matter your budget.

Thanks for introducing us to John's watch store-- a true diamond in the rough. I wanted you to ask: 1. how does John authenticate his Rolexes, 2. the timing accuracy of each watch, and 3. does John offer his watches with boxes & papers.
@@dannysimenauer5745 He's so old school as you can see from his display etc. that I just dont know. My guess is most do t have box and papers but sone may. As far as authenticating im shure it him as he's been doing this for ever. He's really honest about the watches and if the dials have been refinished etc. so I have no concern with him at all. I have the same watch--the 114060--and it's an absolute stunner. So versatile, and a great travel watch because everyone knows it's good looking and a fine piece, but it's not fine enough that everyone wants to steal it. I'll never forget being at many airports in Europe and southeast Asia thinking to myself, I'm glad this thing doesn't have a date bubble or 18K gold on it. Doesn't need those extra eyes.

Just had to regulate my new 8L35 (in my SLA049) - sent out by a dealer unchecked and at +20 secs per day. It saved 6 to 8 weeks of to and fro and postage etc. and possible return to Seiko. Got it regulated to about -2 secs per day but face down is +4 secs per day so can self adjust over night. Sent out by dealer completely over tolerance quoted. If you have the balls to do it, regulating yourself (carefully) can save a lot of hassle and BS from dealers. If other problems emerge it's back to the dealer - but this was the case of an unregulated and unchecked watch sent out. Poor from the authorised dealer but then I had no confidence based on this that they would sort it. My other 8L35 (SLA051) is running great so I know it is a good movement. Good video thanks.
@@garyshepherd9226 Agree with all as I think its a lottery sone times. Wish they would just reg at the factory. I've messed up a few trying to reg myself and been successful with others. Tha ks for watching
I own the pro and my only wish is that it had a rotating bezel, same goes for my BB Chronograph I wish it has a rotating bezel
So this is something I am curious about. I have a bb58 as well. Out of all my watches, it is the most sporadic on the timegrapher. To the point I almost wasn't sure if I should keep it. Despite this, it actually performs the best of all my watches in real life everyday wear. As in +2 seconds every 7 days or so if worn daily. I am not sure why this is. Could it have something to do with the MT5402 variable inertia balance wheel? Maybe the variable inertia causes sporadic readings on the timegrapher, but this somehow aides in the overall accuracy?
