Got a text message this morning (jan 3rd 2025) off my landlord saying it’s going up next month from £630 to £675 which is a big jump. The funny thing is i haven’t had a living room for the past 2 months because the ceiling had to come down to fix a leak that’s been leaking for over a year, it was only fix and boarded out 2 days ago and still needs plastering and now the rent is going up, am literally paying for the fcking ceiling being fixed in a rented property. Am going to do what ever I can to slow the increase of rent going up. It’s a fcking joke. It was a one bedroom flat when I moved in two years ago and two years later, it’s still a one bedroom fucking flat!
