What 1000 hours of Isonzo looks like
Sorry for the clickbait title, iam actually not at 1000 hours yet :P
With my last clip video getting much more views than i ever expected and my harddrive filling up, i decided to upload leftover clips again.
For a more diverse watch, i tried to mix gameplay from different classes and with varying length, still the second half probably isnt that interesting.
Compared to previous videos i used different color correction and contrast settings in DaVinci this time, which hopefully helps retaining image quality and clarity when uploading to youtube.
Still there will always be a difference in quality between the rendered game and watching it back as a compressed recording.
Thats why i would ask you to not directly jump to conclusions if there are shots on seemingly invisible enemies in this video. (If you dont believe me, just try to record long shots over 500m where you can often still see the enemies as moving pixels against the background while they completely disappear in the recording. Same with smoke/gas/fog)
Furthermore there are clear traces of a not publicly known technique visible which can be achieved by everyone with a deep understanding of the games mechanics, by simply changing in game settings. Its not solely beneficial but more a trade off, and iam only hinting towards this in the spirit of full transparency.
I hope everyone enjoys this video and maybe there have been elements in it that you can incorporate into your own gameplay. If there are questions, feedback or ideas for future videos, pleas let me know in the comments!
Thank you for watching!

Isonzo - 1h of clips from a level 150 player

With so many new players joining Isonzo through gamepass, i originally intended to record a full game that showcases how to play efficiently. Unfortunately i didnt manage to produce a game that iam happy with and to not again upload nothing, i decided to just dump these random clips from the past two weeks onto youtube. Its mostly Rifleman and Mountaineer stuff with a focus on sniping. Some par...

No Hud Gameplay of Isonzos new Ascent game mode. To keep up the immersion, i try to play more realistic and slower than usual. I am planning on releasing more "realistic" gameplay, if there is anything in particular you want to see, feel free to let me know in the comments. I wonder if you have any idea/tips on getting the "most time spent in one place" bronze medal... It´s the last one I´m missing and even with hours of dedicated gameplay with this medal as a goal in mind I can´t fucking get it.
unfortunately some of the medals are broken atm, so it might be impossible for you to obtain. For me its "most mortar assists", i can set up a bot match and do 300 mortar kills plus the assists that come with it and wont get the medal... propably best if you post your issue either in Blackmills Discord or the Steam discussions so that they dont forget to fix it.
Is your video in real time? When I play the game it doesn't seem to me that it goes this fast, especially reloading. And I have no lag or freeze problem it runs fine.
everything should be in the speed it was recorded in. There are area effects and perks in the game that can speed up actions such as building/bolting/running/reloading/ads, some of them have an indicator in the lower right part of the screen when they are active, others such as the scout perk of the sniper class wont show anywhere but can still be active. I guess this is where the difference you perceived comes from... although you can skip/cut short a few animations, i have not found a way to do that with reloads yet ;)
@Valkyrie_336 thanks for the info, playing mostly sniper/scout/officer I don't remember having access to faster reload time. Maybe it's due to the fact that playing and watching a video doesn't feel the same.
How do you get the aiming down so smoothly? My aim is jerky and it's v sensitive I'm having to spend 10 seconds trying to get a long shot when the enemy is literally a tiny pixel lmao
maybe give a lower sensitivity a try. For me in game values of 1.9 (normal) and 1.0 (ADS) @2300dpi work fine in Isonzo (its still fairly high sense compared to what i would use in other games).
how people play when im just trying to have a good time
🙈
Bro you are beast I greet you from iraq I love this game so much
thank you! Do you get full games on Asian servers or are you playing on EU?
Greetings from the Roi Yack !
bro is a one man army
what fov do you use? ive been trying to figure out if i should have it set to 75 or have it maxxed out. im not sure if that makes players seem further away. can you also give me some tips on how you can recognize player models in the grass?
Hey, iam playing with a 60fov although its good for long range, it sometimes will get you killed because you cant see people in your peripheral. Think if you are not used to anything yet, going with 75 is a good middle ground. Spotting people in vegetation can be hard, it takes some practice and experience to be able to spot well camouflaged players when there are only a few pixel that give them away. A lot of it is knowing the usual spots and behavior of others so that you already have an idea where to look. Often you see someone move in an area, so that when you get there you already know that enemies are around. With this prior knowledge you are much more likely to win encounters even against people that camp, because you kind of know what to expect and can act accordingly. Actually i would say picking up these small clues and remembering them is some of the biggest differentiating factors between players. In a game like Isonzo you often fight more than one enemy at the time (or at least more than one person will try to kill you at a time), that means no matter how good you are, you will most likely die in a straight 1v X situation. So what i try to do is using all the intel i can get, to turn for example a 1v5 into five separate 1v1s, which greatly increases my chances of surviving. Its not a great example, but in the sequence starting at 20:48 you can see how every time i face someone, i pick up the info on where the next threat is and then use that to engage them under my terms (or be aware of their presence, for example the second guy in the tower). Doing all this info gathering and processing while also shooting people might be a bit too much for newer player but once it becomes second nature, you will enjoy a great advantage. Sorry for the paragraph hope it helps you somehow!
Hello Valkyrie it was great playing with you today on the clan wars with R.E. me and the 17.IR were glad we won today Love from Austria Maximilian 🫡
was fun playing with/against you guys! hope next time we get two full teams 😅
For me Isonzo is a great game, but the constant lack of battle lines and constantly having enemies behind the team makes me prefer Verdun, especially on the new map they added I had to camp the HQ spawns for my team.
never played Verdun myself, but from people who played both it seems like most prefer it. Isonzo for sure has some glaring design weaknesses :/
The auto aim is ridiculous bro...luckily you have a bunch of people believing this is legit.
feel free to report me, you finde the Devs contact info in the pinned comment. Sorry i dont want to be toxic or insult you for thinking iam cheating, but after taking a look at your CS content i feel like i know where you are coming from with this...
@@Valkyrie_336 nobody is going to report you by talking to the devs. It’s too much trouble and you know it. Just makes you sound more legit when you say that. I was wondering in buying the game, but after seeing the aim hack on your gameplay, I just gave up.
@@PTRuzki47 Isonzo has a moderate small playerbase, so talking directly to the Devs via the mentioned channels or using the in game report feature (also goes directly to the Devs), are the main ways of reporting people. As far as i know, i was reported multiple hundred times via every imaginable way of reporting someone, so i think they know what people like you think. Tbh its wild to me that someone who never even played the game, sees this video and thinks to have spotted an aimbot. Maybe i should just take it as a compliment, although i cant help to feel bad for Blackmill, if they lose a potential customer like this.
@@Valkyrie_336 Its very simple for an experienced gamer to detect aimbot. When you aim your weapon, you dont do adjustments and you not even flinch. Many times the enemy is not even visible and the moment you aim, your crosshair is perfectly on him. 1 time or twice it happens, but with you is every single aim, doesnt matter the distance. If you have been reported hundreds of times, it means that at least half of them are right. The devs just cant detect your cheating software. Just like Valve, worthing millions, cant stop the cheating softwares. And so they need the reports of people so their gameplay can be investigated. Clearly your gameplay was not investigated by the Devs or they let it pass so they keep players inside the game. You can say anything you want, but I trust my experience and logical sense.
@@PTRuzki47 like i said already, i have seen some of your CS gameplay... not sure the 1000 elo or what ever that is, gives you enough of a perspective on whats actually possible. Dont get me wrong, i dont want to say someone who is not good in games cant spot someone cheating! Facts are facts and if the evidence is clear it doesnt matter who points it out! Its just that i have the luxury to know that iam not cheating so every time someone accuses me of it, i cant help it and think that the person isnt as qualified as they think they are. Its not my goal to change your mind on me, but maybe consider that there is a chance you are wrong and give the game a try anyway. There usually are enough servers so that you dont have to play with or against me and from what i can tell there are nearly no cheaters (never seen someone obviously aimbot/wallhack myself, most cases are cheats that allow them to leave the map or have infinit ammo and those get banned fast). Have a nice weekend
Yesterday I gotcha at the start of a match with my sniper and you quitted at the very start of the game, the map was Gorizia, Italian in name and fact.
sorry i was never planing on staying for Gorizia. There was an ongoing conversation in my team from the map before, thats why i stayed for the start and left as soon as it was concluded.
amazing game got it the other day after getting bored of bf1.
welcome in, hope you have a fun time! on which platform/server region are you playing? (if you dont mind sharing)
@@Valkyrie_336 got it on steam european servers
@@moohsenbrody2443 same for me, looking forward to meeting you!
Great game, great player...can you tell me why prone is 99,99 percent of time blocked 😅 it suck
Thank you!! idk about the prone block, maybe its historically accurate and turning while prone was illegal in ww1 😂
so 1000hrs makes a bulletsponge + everyone doesnt even dare to look on the map to see where you're shooting from?
not sure what you try so say with this tbh, if you think iam cheating feel free to report me to the devs. Links to their Discord/Steam are in the pinned comment.
You absolutely murdered your opponents with that Villar Perosa. Anyways nice gameplay video. Cheers mate!
Thank you! the VP might be slightly OP 😅
Hi! I was playing yesterday with you on Grappa as germans, and i wanted to asked one question that i didn't. Luger or c96? Just your opinion.
Hey, first of all thanks for your comment ❤! Tbh iam probably the worst person to ask when its about pistols or revolvers, i barely every use them 🙈 If i still had give an answer, think i would pick the Lugar. Especially when used as a secondary i prefer the fast reloads over the better sight picture of the C96, but it really doesnt matter and is highly depended on what you like more and how you play. In general i would say the weapon/loadout you choose is not a big factor in Isonzo. Sure there are some things that will give you an advantage here and there, but the over all skill level isnt high enough for it to be essential (only the MG 08/15 should be avoided that thing is 🤬🤬😄).
@@Valkyrie_336 thanks!
Ermmm it’s actually 57:32 long🤓👆
clickbait 😅🙈
Pls tell me there’s a way to play with you and you giving tips live
Hey thanks for your comment! I usually play on steam EU in the evening. Isonzo is a fairly small community, so if you are also on steam i would say we meet sooner or later :D Tbh iam terrible with multitasking so giving many tips live probably isnt going to happen, but if you hit me up on discord i dont mind sharing what i know about the game.
Hackusation forum threads are very effective yt channel adverts.
the same person also left many comments under this video and i think that helped with the algorithm... maybe i should thank them 😂
Bro sniped me today with villar perossa on grappa😞
sorry 🙈 the combination of Grappa and the VP is pretty evil and hard to counter... sometimes when iam too lazy to actually play the game, i just camp with the VP and abuse how over powered it is.
bro bullied me today in Grappa
so sorry 😅 Grappa is just such a broken map, sometimes i cant resist and abuse that with the VP 🙈
@@Valkyrie_336 haha legend i literally thought that you were cheating
@@IzakMargon i hear that a lot 🙈🙉😄 very nice of you to still check out my youtube, i really appreciate that!! ty
why arent you using the BUGL
the bugle is my standard secondary when playing as mountaineer, it should be in most of these clips
0:48 the old "jump over the barbwire", thats a Verdun veteran special. Use to do it alot back then
not a verdun veteran myself, but i always wondered how many gameplay elements are identical between the three games... at least some assets/voices/... seem heavily related from what i can tell
watching this is quite a blast, great watch, might gonna try it out myself, peace up
glad you enjoyed it! for a BF player like you, the slower movement might be a bit annoying at first, but with the right perks and accepting that its not really fast paced, i think you can have a lot of fun in Isonzo. P.S. if you want to give it a try, its on Gamepass! Although i would recommend to get it on steam/epic if you want to play more regular, since those have a much bigger player population and 48 player servers (only 40 on gamepass which makes a noticeable difference)
And i miss this Video again.... Always a plesure to watch a maestro :D
thank you Silu, looking forward to Wednesday!
@@Valkyrie_336 Hehe, no problem :D. But, I have to say, your shots on 24:20 are perverted!
@@silu785 😄with the game having nearly no bullet drop, those shots are way easier than you would think! Once you got the hang of it and found good spots, its mostly about how often you try. The special thing about this clip is that i got multiple in close succession which usually doesnt happen... better dont ask how many games of laying 500m away from the frontline it took 🙈😅
Hey Valkyrie! I played a clan with you, when we the 17. IR played with Regio Esercito together :) good job! I wish I could shoot so good 😂
thank you Black Baron, always nice playing with you!
you went Albania mode on them
🤣🤣🤣
Plenty of good shooting in this vid, impressive! Met you several time in game, you're very good, you killed me more than i killed you haha. Greetings from Gordon_Delacroix
thank you Gordon!😊
@@Valkyrie_336 Also I swear I saw you on Verdun too, am I wrong and just mistaken ?
@@gordondelacroix253 That definitely wasnt me 😅, i own Verdun to support the Devs, but never actually played it (Tannenberg neither...)
I could play with cheats enabled and I still wouldn’t be this good!!
Thx for your comment Gavan! Tbh i think many people underestimate how good they can get, if they put in enough time learning a game. From playing other competitive FPS for years, i know that iam not particularly talented, which to a certain degree i can compensate with thousands of hours of experience... If you ask me, everyone with average talent can reach my level after playing for long enough (maybe not Isonzo, imo its not a great game to teach FPS basics), its basically a question of how committed you are to something meaningless like being good at video games 😅
@@Valkyrie_336ha ha. Doing something you enjoy as a hobby isn’t meaningless. I’m a father of 3 young kids so I get a little bit of time online with friends and e we drink a few whiskeys while playing for a couple of hours so I don’t think I’ll ever get actually good. But I enjoy the fun of getting the occasional kill and hanging out with friends
Hey! What are your thoughts on when to go for a bayonet/meelee kill vs just hipfiring? I feel like I often find myself choosing the wrong one and getting shot.
Thats a good question! Iam not always sure how to handle these situations either, often when i go for the bayonet to save ammo, i end up getting shot while stuck in the animation... Guess you always have to evaluate the situation and decide what you are going for. In case you are trying to stay alive and arent just looking for a trade kill, i feel like the bayonet often isnt the best choice and staying on the move, avoiding the animation works better. But tbh, iam not the most fluid player when it comes to things like that and more often than not, i pick wrong too. So everyones guess is as good as mine here! P.S. if you want/have to melee multiple enemies, try to switch to the shovel! when attacking from behind and aiming for the head its a one hit kill too you can still move.
*Me playing to relax after a long day on the job* The enemy team:
😂😂iam sorry 🙈😘
Damn your good, i would like to see you up against Zab and damn 639m longshot.
thank you! i would love to play Zab, but afaik hes not around in Isonzo anymore :( The 639m shot in the intro was soooo hard to get because its with a rifle not with an LMG, even if you hit people at those distances they wont die if they are not low hp already. With the LMGs (especially the VP) you can make quick follow up shots and its significantly easier to get actual kills. 800m should be possible in a real match, but you have to get very lucky with the enemies position (the longest line we found was 936m but its not possible in a real match).
It’d be fun to play with the myth himself. Great compilation! Although I don’t think I’ve ever encountered you:( Do u play in EU or US server? Id be honored to play with or against you lol
thank you! iam mostly playing on steam EU in the evening, sometimes US servers too but its rare. Are you playing on US?
@@Valkyrie_336 yes I do play on U.S. servers most of the time
Looks like a moorhen shoot. Are these all just rancid, stupid bots with an IQ like a sack of potatoes, or what? Looks like a total waste of life time. Where's the thrill in snap shooting like a loon all day? I've seen better showcases doing this actual gem much more justice.
Hey thanks for commenting! With multiplayer games i usually try to adapt to the game thats infront of me and dont roleplay them a lot. In Isonzo that often meets people who are more interested in experiencing parts of ww1, which unfortunately can lead to everyone having a worse time. Imo its the task of the developers to provide a game that merges these two aspects (gameplay/experience), not task of the players to ignore how the game actually works to make it more authentic. There are numerous elements that i would love to see changed, for the game to be more focused on its core strengths and less of a "one fits all", that in the end isnt really working for anyone (as an example, i am asking for a "hardcore mode" with forced no HUD and other things to make it more realistic and less of a worse BF, for a while). So i actually agree that my style of play seems out of place, but in the end i can only play the game how it is, not how i want it to be. P.S. this is more how i would want to game to feel ua-cam.com/video/Oxp74hjJ6rY/v-deo.html but its a multiplayer shooter against others after all, so if the game is allowing you to play like its COD, someone will play like its COD... btw sorry for the late reply! for some reason youtube didnt alter me about your comment :/
Nice vid m8! I have roughly 1200 hours in it also and still love the game man
thank you Haz!! did i watch you stream a couple of times, or am i confusing you with someone 😅🙈
@@Valkyrie_336 no that was me most likely, I mainly only stream isonzo nowadays. Although recently got reset to level 1 so working on ranking back to 150. Also thanks for dropping in . Keep up the epic playing 🙌
How do you find servers, last I tried to play the game it was dead
Hey, the server situation depends a lot on the platform you are playing on and the server region. I mostly play on Steam/EU and there usually are 4-6 full servers during the day/evening. If you also play on steam/epic, make sure that you select the right server region! If you are located in south america, asia, or australia/oceania, you might have to accept a higher ping and play on EU/US servers to always get a full game. From what i can tell the player count on PC gamepass is a lot worse compared to steam, there you cant always finde full game and even if, the servers only have a 40 player limit (48 on steam). Think the numbers on PS / Xbox are a lot better compared to PC gamepass and closer to how it is on steam. Its a bit unlucky that the community is split this way, hope i could help you anyway :)
live footage of my enemy team every game
i remember your name, its straight up diabolic 😂🙈
I doubt this is cheating. I'd be way more convinced if it was without the bugle and just constant headshots. Nice job, I've even met you in a couple matches before.
Thank you Hunter! not proud of it, but yes iam a notorious bugle abuser 😅🙈 hope its gets nerfed one day
Do you fake your orgasms as well?
Pain in the ass playing against u, hah, keep going, you are good player, hope all who call you cheater now will realise they are wrong.
thx for your comment and the kind words! disproving the allegations was why i started uploading Isonzo content over 10 months ago, although it never really helped much with that 😅 (first videos arent listed on the channel anymore but still can be watched).
esp, aimhacks
if you would have read the video description or other comments, you could have noticed that this shot was not done in a real match, but on a private server in an attempt to get the longest shot in the game. The person iam shooting at was spotted before, so i know exactly where aim and when you recreate this situation in game yourself, you will notice that you can even see the target as a few pixel against the skyline. This obviously isnt visible with video compression, but should be easy for you to verify yourself.
Aim hacks, esp stop deluding yourself. Stop cheating.

Could u do an officer guide someday?
hey, ty for your comment!! I would love to make guides for the different classes, in the form of fully commented games, but its super hard to get an entire matches that iam happy with and where actually something interesting is happening. Getting a full game like that is something i struggle with for the past nine months, so i wouldnt bet on it happening any time soon 😅🙈. On top of that iam not an expert officer myself and lack the experience of playing the class a lot... For advice from someone with real officer experience, i would recommend to check out www.twitch.tv/jakeman__ttv , Jake is probably one of the most experienced players in the game and a genuinely nice person!
Well camped. As it should be.
this clip is actually while pushing for the objective 😅 the Villar Perosa is just better prone imo, thats why i dont run and gun it that much and try to lay down while shooting

You’re videos have helped me a lot, I imitate the same combat style as yours for all classes except assault. Now I always find myself at the top 3!
makes me super happy to hear that!! ☺ its nice to know that someone actually was able to take something away from the videos. Although like you said with assault, you should always question what you adapt for yourself and what not.
