I discovered this gem in a pawn shop when I was 12, didn’t realize they made a Gundam live action movie. For what it was, I was extremely entertained at the time hahah
Victory, League Militaire Invasion of the Zanscare Guillotine Crazy queen Angel's Call Shrike Team Manhunters rule through fear Char clone pilots Gaia Gear What the hell's a G Saviour? I can't take it anymore!
I've watched the movie, and... the Starship Troopers requisites, low budget acting, the systematic global starvation plan being "definitely sane", I get it. But on the other side, I think that Mark is the only Gundam movie protag so far who actually works as a Gundam movie protag. It's amusing that among many children MCs, he's a full grown man in his 30's who just wants to chill on his underwater rig before getting himself into big problems and overcoming his anxiety. Yes, his backstory is a bit generic, but what can you do? Also G-Saviour looks pretty good.
I watched the whole movie, it was good at first, but then, it was getting worse, the cgi was fine to me, the mecha designs was great(just for me), this is the real problem, its just that... The story doesn't makes anysense ,that's the problem
If only people knew just how good they had it back when this first came out. "Wahhh its so bad, i wanna drink myself to death". Now look. It may as well be live action SEED.
Seriously tho, why does the G-savior itself and the main enemy suit the only suits with beam shields, they where an MS standard by the time of victory gundam witch takes place 70 YEARS before this!!
Actually its not bad for its time. I give kudo for studio for actually trying. Sadly like many anime to live-action adaption, it will be left forgotten.
I'm fine with the mech designs, but in interior is a abomination, questions like "where's the 360 paromatic monitor cockpit?" and "why are they using physical shields when beam shields are the complete norm?". Story wise is horrible, the acting and CGI can get away cause it's made in early 2000s
@@seth0023Well, since the production house, having zero knowledge of space battle in Gundam. You may hate it but this scene alone is becoming a stepping stone for bringing more realistic battles in Gundam, such as in MS IGLOO and Evolve.
Animatiom is tight though. Acting is so horrible.

I heard about this from the John Campea show.

I watched this 22 years ago and love all visual but really hate script and that terrible ending lol
this is pretty terrible
G-savior needs animated series. 😢
This looks like some PS2 game footage mixed with some B movie clips lol
I like the idea of a live-action Gundam series. It’s too bad this was executed so poorly
If itd get a anime adaptation it would be so good ngl

Really? Right in front of my Victory Gundam?
Better than pacific rim uprising
Linear cockpit should be available for ages at this time and I have no idea why the cockpits looks so outdated in this movie.
If only people knew just how good they had it back when this first came out. "Wahhh its so bad, i wanna drink myself to death". Now look. It may as well be live action SEED.
This battle operation 2 update is crazyy!
wish netlix make some of this lmao
imagine if G-saviour came out now. how much better the battles would look. i think sunrise should just reboot G-saviour as an anime.
This never happened and we don't speak of it, EVER
Nah , ever since the existence of pacific rim uprising I may have treated this movie too harshly
Netflix better take note especially for the upcoming live-action Gundam the origin adaptation
For the first attempt at making a live-action Gundam movie, this turned out to be fine for me
The way the G Saviour flashes it’s shield on and off in close quarters fights is really cool
当時にしてはかなりいいクオリティなのでは?アニメで培われたカメラワークも活きてるし、なによりGセイバーのカメラアイ発光の仕方もいい。リメイクしてほしいけどなぁ…
It’s too dark to see anything
wish there will be a remaster to this
Always love the heaviness the movie try to present…..
atleast you see , grunt pilots are becoming more intelligent when defending
_Happy 20 year anniversary, Gundam._
Jesus the CGI is worse than the Rebuild of Evangelion. And that was crappy too.
amazing
Wow beam shield nice
Seriously tho, why does the G-savior itself and the main enemy suit the only suits with beam shields, they where an MS standard by the time of victory gundam witch takes place 70 YEARS before this!!
"What if Gundams moved like dump trucks?"
Is it bad I enjoyed this movie
Absolutely not. I like the film a lot too.
Yeah I see why this is hated. Robot Jock and Robot Wars have better acting and effects. Cockpits look cool at least.
Jordan Vogt-Roberts we believe in you!
I’ve never even heard about this until I I heard news about the new movie from Jordan Vogt-Roberts.
The Gundam kinda looked cool ngl Tho it kinda looks like a F91 rip off
Meh, I've seen worse.

This was posted the day before I was born
They should reboot it with better cgi better casting
Man, mobile suits in G-Savior were really sturdy. If any mobile suit form earlier in the U.C. took that much damage, it would've detonated.
I wish this was not canon
What episode of Battlestar Galactica is this?

20 years later, this space battle actually makes more sense than everyday Gundam battle
How?
@@seth0023Well, since the production house, having zero knowledge of space battle in Gundam. You may hate it but this scene alone is becoming a stepping stone for bringing more realistic battles in Gundam, such as in MS IGLOO and Evolve.
@@freedom4651 but how does it make more sense? I never said i hated it
If i waching this when i was 5 or 10, pretty sure i'll very like it.
At least I appreciate their efforts in trying to potray what if a real giant mecha moves like.
