    So what is the cart doing with all the bouncing? Is it under steer or the rear inside tire trying to keep up with the rear outside tire (no differential in these machines)? I ask because my runs always have a lot of the bounce. I am trying to figure out if a little more brakes into the turns would help, or I need to work on weight transfer a bit.

    • @orangejuche
      @orangejuche 19 днів тому

      one, battery starts to overheat after a single hot lap. The architecture of the battery the various Teslas use is not conducive to rapid discharge and charge under race conditions, and it struggles with heating issues. Really any NMC battery, regardless of car brand has issues with it, but short of doing something like Hyundai with the 5N where they put insane amounts of ducting and cooling for the battery system, you're not going to be able to keep the battery temps stable on track. Even the 5N gets toasty after a couple laps at the Nurburgring, but it does manage to pull off 2 laps without derating, if you have the BMS in the right mode.

It teaches you to be smooth as well both with throttle application and off throttle application. The tires on the car greatly matched what I would want on a stock S2000. You can rotate the car so dang easily. Once you perfect that I’m confident you’re gonna be much much quicker on a well set up S2000.
