I have the nkjv wide margin sovereign- yes it has a few hiccups in print- but compared to say 10-15 years ago what Nelson published- still a gem.

I found the Great Adventure Bible a bit of a lightweight. I would suggest you get the new Ignatius Study Bible. It just came out. I have also heard many good things about the Didache Bible. Both by Ignatius Press.

Is paying the extra for the leather cover over hardback worth it?

The Schuyler Canterbury are quite possibly the most beautiful Bibles in print inside and out

I have noticed that the Holy Bible logo on the spine is way off center, this occurs often with the new batch of Schuyler Bibles.

Very nice. I have the Schulyer ESV Stridon in Black Pearl and it has quickly become one of my favorite Bibles! I also have a Schulyer NKJV PSQ in Blue Goatskin that is also very nice. I hope you have many years of enjoyment reading your new Bible. Sola Scriptura!

With all that is going on in the world I have often wanted to read the Bible..... I have finally bought this Bible for myself to read and learn.

I have an edge lined Ryrie NAS , beautiful bible 😢. But man, the red letter is faded pink. So difficult to read effectively.

You can also get them in hardcover and paperback for much less than the leather version...but I love the leather. It is as it advertises a Cathedral in print...spreading the Word through beauty.

This is a great version. Luckily I was able to get the large print one with leathersoft cover using the old Kirkbride print block from Zondervan.

Is this a discontinued Bible or just one the price has gone way up on? I see a large print thinline reference at evangelicalbible in top grain brown leather for $105 (marked down from $139) and on Amazon for $138.

Ignatius Press sells each of the books separately as well. I like that for note taking. There are also some study questions at the back of the individual book versions.

Thanks for the good review! That Bible is as old as I am, and probably in better condition. Catholics tend to be divided over the NAB. Some don't care for the translation, and others really dislike the historical-critical tone of the study notes. Personally, I like this original version of the NAB. I don't care as much for the revisions, though. (It's been updated three times. The latest is the NAB-Revised Edition, and the New Testament is set to be updated again in 2025.) That's Pope Paul VI, by the way. The John Pauls came a few years later!

Thank you for this amazing review I have just ordered the CAG. The CAG show less pages than the original when looking at page count, do you know why? Also, do you have a favourite out of the two? - I am thinking to get both, one for normal use and the leather to last.

Mine arrives tomorrow. It will be my daily read and church bible. I'm starting a mens bible study, so it will be helpful there. I have plenty of study bibles for deeper study. Are there any other bibles or study bible specifically for men? I'm enjoying the readability of the NLT.

They have stopped printing the Value Trutone edition of thinline Reference bibles. This is very confusing.

I got rhis Bible. Its my primary go to, and carry it with me everywhere. Bible is incredible. Seeing it in person...pictures doesnt do it justice. This Bible glorifies God.
