Super late to this, and not sure if anyone will ever see this, but i cannot express how glad i am to have found a video with both out of tune and in tune versions. The way the composition works for both physically gives me chills in the best way possible. As a person who hasnt played mad father, when i initially heard this id thought of two different, but linked, situations for the song. In tune oddly feels.. sadder, and eerier than out of tune, like someone [in my mind a pianist improvising], with an already horrible situation, and just a horrible life in general that only can and will spiral downwards. Its depressing, terrifying. Not that its unsettling because its physically scary, but rather the feeling of the sad, inevitable truth coming to terms. Its a silent, not aggressive, but numb, *impending* doom. Basically if all psychological horror media were blended up with antidepressants and shoved into a song. Out of tune, however, feels like a sort of resolution to that. Like something awful happened, *the* awful thing happened. ..but its okay. Not good, nor bad.. Just an ending, the ending. Whether that sad pianists still alive, insane, murdered, or commited, they remain. Not necessarily better than before, but not worse. Its melancholy tranquilty, but *still tranquilty.* Some sort of acceptance. Not even a satisfying end to all of it, but just the knowledge of this character never having to continuously live in that numb sort of terror. Its sad, its not a good thing, but its fine, not even the creepy kind of fine. just genuinely .. *fine.* *and their song is playing again.* Anyways, if anyone ever bothers to read this, thank you for going through the entirety of my silly little rant, and have a wonderful day/afternoon/evening/night :]

He started panicking and grabbed a knife and then broke the window and jumped through it.
