Well - they didn't talk really about tools. They mentioned Cashflow is really important and that intrinsic value in terms of liquidation value was cheap (date not mentioned) and "now" its more expensive.
Well, the question was about which tools they use and this is the answer they gave. I mostly keep the title as per the question they were asked.
“I got my dad’s desk from 75 years ago.” That ❣️
Some things hold memories.
"Now you've got whole departments that want everyone to feel a victim, and you pay money to send your children to these places." And my man said this in 1999 when this truth was far less noticeable! 25 years later we all see clearly how much victim mentality is all over American society...
Well, the wise see it coming from far away.
I understand what word reatained earning from Munger. It is free cost to shareholders, and It is also opportunity cost. The one of alternative investment. That is easy

Why and who cares about rushing
It's a passing remark, I believe: a good manager who's also a record-holder athlete.
Classic Charlie. Rest in peace, sir!
What a brilliant guy
He indeed was!
I cannot understand what he said in the 2nd part of the joke. Does somebody mind writing it for eg non-native speakers? Thank you!
Charlie jokingly said, "why Albert Einstein was poorer than I was?". Charlie meant he was richer than Albert Einstein, though Einstein was more intelligent than he was. Likewise, Warren is richer than himself as his knowledge wasn't as focused as that of Warren.
You can't take your money beyond the grave.
And yet so often we forget that.
if you dont have it, you will reach your grave sooner than your time.
@@audioplatform6299 I'm not saying money isn't important in life. It's importance is inevitable. But to a certain point. After that money doesn't add much value to life.
@@toriddwar do you have a kid?

150% is NOT excessive leverage. When they are talking leverage on these big funds they are 3-4-5-6-100x leveraged
It's not excessive, yes. But the question was asked as Charlie often spoken against using leverage.
Didn’t age well…
Who? This video or either of them?
@@toriddwar these nonagenerians are doing just fine. However, their prediction for Wesco has not aged well. WCC is up 42% on the year. And 251% on the 5 year chart. Add in the U.S. gov. Infrastructure investments and companies like Wesco stand to profit quite a bit more off these multibillion dollar decade long gov investments.

RIP Charlie!
he said it's bad for insurers in general but good for stock. Change the title😢
I should've put a question mark at the end. Thanks for pointing this out. Happy watching.
Nice..Thank you for the upload 🙏
Glad you liked it. Happy watching.
Just as Einstein was poorer than Charlie although being more intelligent…Charlie is poorer than Warren . Implying that Charlie is more intelligent than Warren !!
I'm not sure whether Charlie is more intelligent than Warren. Perhaps he is. But he surely had more multi- faceted knowledge than Warren.
I like how he chose "poorer".
Charlie was known for his witty remarks.
Because truly great people don't see life as simply a competition to have the most money.
That's true. Money is useful, but only up to a certain point. After that, it doesn't really make much of a difference.
Becky Quick misses Charlie !
We all do.
I wish I was as poor as Charlie.
Well, who doesn't?
because... He was double dipping.... Yup.. just like Wall Street 2. haha
What do you mean?
Spoken like a true boss
He always did!
General motors also required metals and other materials to work with hence those suppliers also made monies never mentioned.
Well, yes.
That is why the second layer of material suppliers to any industry are more wealthy than the main high profile media Monkees😊ones, how? Well their work ends in supply chain, their monies in, they do not have to sell final product in the markets, but of course quality standards of supply chain materials matter that is the competition between them than.
@@user-gd4wt6oi7y in competition, the competitors may die fighting each other, but the supplier to those parties always comes out as the winner. In war, you might not be able to say who will win, but the real beneficiary is always the one who supplies weapons to both parties.
That is what I mean wars generally are generated so suppliers can make their fortunes while it decimates innocent lives, and behind war facades lot of other things passing off massive money budgets war supply chains and entire rest of lobbies in it
He was agitated

I don’t mind being poor like charlie

Aged interestingly…
How so? 🤔
I wonder if he’s saying this now in 2024.
I am curious about that as well.
Munger is worth nothing now. You can't take it with you.
Indeed, it is true that Charlie could not take his wealth with him, as is the case for all individuals. However, his legacy extends beyond mere monetary accumulation. He is renowned for imparting worldly wisdom, introducing the concept of latticework of mental models, and emphasizing the significance of rational thinking. These contributions, among others, have left an indelible mark on the world.

1.PATHS sanded with gold, verdant wastes, ravines which the wild-goat loves, great mountains crowned with stars, tumbling torrents, impenetrable forests, let the good goddess pass, the goddess of Poverty! 2. Since the world has existed, since men were in it, she traverses the world, she dwells among men; singing she travels, or working she sings, -the goddess, the good goddess of Poverty! 3. Some men assembled to curse her; but they found her too beautiful and too glad, too agile and too strong. "Strip off her wings!" said they; "give her chains, give her stripes, crush her, let her perish, the goddess of Poverty!" 4. They have chained the good goddess; they have beaten her, and persecuted; but they cannot debase her! She has taken refuge in the souls of poets, of peasants, of artists, of martyrs, and of saints, - the good goddess, the goddess of Poverty! 5. She has walked more than the Wandering Jew; she has traveled more than the swallow; she is older than the cathedral of Prague; she is younger than the egg of the wren; she has increased more than the strawberry in Bohemian forests, the goddess, the good goddess of Poverty! 6. Many children has she had, and many a divine secret has she taught them; she knows more than all the doctors and all the lawyers, the good goddess of Poverty ! 7. She does all the greatest and most beautiful things that are done in the world: it is she who cultivates the fields and prunes the trees; it is she who drives the herds to pasture, singing the while all sweet songs; it is she who sees the day break, and catches the sun's first smile, the good goddess of Poverty! 8. It is she who builds of green boughs the woodman's cabin, and makes the hunter's eye like that of the eagle; it is she who brings up the handsomest children, and who leaves the plow and the spade light in the hands of the old man, the good goddess of Poverty! [ocr errors] 9. It is she who inspires the poet, and makes eloquent the violin, the guitar, and the flute, under the fingers of the wandering artist; it is she who crowns his hair with pearls of the dew, and who makes the stars shine for him larger and more clear, the goddess, the good goddess of Poverty! 10. It is she who instructs the dexterous artisan, and teaches him to hew stone, to carve marble, to fashion gold and silver, copper and iron; it is she who makes the flax flexible and fine as hair, under the hands of the old wife and the young girl, -the good goddess of Poverty! 11. It is she who sustains the cottage shaken by the storm; it is she who saves rosin for the torch and oil for the lamp; it is she who kneads bread for the family, and who weaves garments for them, summer and winter; it is she who maintains and feeds the world, the good goddess of Poverty! 12. It is she who has built the great castles and the old cathedrals; it is she who builds and navigates all the ships; it is she who carries the sabre and the musket; it is she who makes war and conquests; it is she who buries the dead, cares for the wounded, and shelters the vanquished, the good goddess of Poverty! 13. Thou art all gentleness, all patience, all strength, and all compassion, O good goddess! it is thou who dost reünite all thy children in a holy love, givest them charity, faith, hope, O goddess of Poverty! 14. Thy children will one day cease to bear the world on their shoulders; they will be recompensed for all their pains and labors. The time shall come when there shall be neither rich nor poor on the earth; but when all men shall partake of its fruits, and enjoy equally the bounties of Providence; but thou shalt not be forgotten in their hymns, O good goddess of Poverty ! 15. They will remember that thou wert their fruitful mother and their robust nurse. They will pour balm into thy wounds; and, of the fragrant and rejuvenated earth, they will make for thee a couch, where thou canst at length repose, O good goddess of Poverty ! 16. Until that day of the Lord, torrents and woods, mountains and valleys, wastes swarming with little flowers and little birds, paths sanded with gold, without a master, let pass the goddess, the good goddess of Poverty!
Excuse me, but could you please clarify what you mean?
This guy loves to think that investors are the hardest-working people on earth. Yet I have never seen a clip of him not speaking from a chair or while standing absolutely still, while not dropping a bead of sweat.
Well, I might be wrong, but I don't remember him saying that investors are the hardest working people. Instead, he often says how lucky he is to have been born in the environment he was.
Do you think physical work is the only form of hard work? He also never said investors are the hardest working people on earth lol.
