I think the fact that it’s only a single main set will hold it back, similar to Obsidian Flames. The pull rate being tougher will probably make the stuff in Stellar Crown more valuable, but that will also make it less fun to open. I will probably end up liking OBF more because of that honestly, even if I’m really annoyed at the insane Charizard oversaturation

That's just an illustration rare, not a special illustration rare. But still a very nice card :)
I think now more than ever is the best time to master each set since the rarest cards (SIR) have such frequent pull rates
Ya, personally, I am about done with temporal forces and paldea evolved, and working on base and obsidian next.
From what I’ve seen, there’s a divide between collectors on this topic. I lean towards the side that the abundance of SIR’s and easy pull rates is bad. I love to open packs in hopes to pull a card I wouldn’t dare buy outright. To me, if the top chase card is $40 or below, it completely takes out the point of opening a pack. Like why risk it? Just buy the card. And just buying the card isn’t FUN to me. On the other hand I understand how some collectors are enjoying the cheap cards, but (no offenses to them) at that point it doesn’t feel like a real tangible collection that has any value to it. That’s just me!
I agree to a lot of your points! The cheapness of SIRs does take away from the excitement of pulling it. This is coming from someone that has pulled the Spidops EX SIR twice 😭 luckily just from single packs and not a booster box.
2 favorites are the Paldean Fates Charizard and Chi-Yu.

Bought a booster box of twilight mascerade and got absolutely trolled, pulled the greninja ex ultra rare and the full art version with ZERO SIR’s in the whole box 😭 got 3 SI’s and two full arts 😫

Personally dont think this is a problem, cheaper and less rare cards means i can own most of them without spending an insane amount of money on cardboard. If someone is taking a monetary drop in their "assets" its on them for investing on a kids game
Agree somewhat. I try to master a lot of sets, so it's nice to not have to send $1k+ to do so, but if you're ripping open packs, it's a bummer to know that even if you open a booster box and get the #1 chase card of the set, you still won't get your money back in a lot of SV sets right now.

Idk I’m not a fan of any of the cards tbh but that’s just my opinion. Not even a sar for lapras which was a disappointment for me

None of those cards look "chase"-able. maybe just that apple-dragon. Just another s/v set full of cool 5$ cards
Personally, I like a lot of the IRs, but I do see your point of "chase able". I am still holding out for a Lapras SIR to be revealed, which would be the chase of the set. If there isn't one, then agree it'll be just another set.
We all wish lapras and cinderace got an SIR but sadly life never goes our way

sadly a lot of people do, there is a lot online about 'paying more at card shops to support' but i say f all that, people also get tricked into buying way above MSRP with products that have a few good packs but also a few dead packs inside, they are playing games with how much rubbish they can offload but making sure it has enough juice so the item actually sells lots of tricks to avoid
@@joshuamason8992 Ya, at the end of the day, do what's best for you 💪 I buy singles from local card shops because I have trade in credit from bulk, but will never buy packs/booster boxes from them as they're marked up.
