To this day one of THE BEST SOUNDTRACKS in my 4ever catalogs this scene always takes my breath away to have someone come 10 toes down to CLAIM you and profess true real love i'm a Hopeless Romantic always & 4ever ❤
I just re-watched this movie last night and while it’s still really good, I don’t like how the storyline was kind of cut into 2 random parts. It would have been more cohesive if they had Eddie & Halle Berry’s characters building a true friendship the entire time. This way, when Robin Givens did him wrong and when Halle realized she didn’t like David Alan Grier, them coming together would have made a lot more sense. But to have them randomly start being “best friends” was so out of the blue and I just noticed last night 😂 They had excellent chemistry though.
It interesting, growing older and viewing this with a more experience mind. I have to note Angela's transformation from sweet girl next door to alpha female whose cursing and swearing up a storm by the end of the movie. Something about it doesn't feel right.. I get Eddie's character hurt her but man....
SOMETIMES IN LIFE ... WE KNOW WHO TRULY WILL ALWAYS HOLD OUR HEART .. ( NO MATTER WHO, WHEN , WHERE , HOW OR WHY ) .. MATTERS OF THE HEART CANT BE DENIED. 🫂👍🏾🗝️⌚🌄📖
This movie put both Halle Berry & Toni Braxton on the map big time!!! And they are still awesome in their crafts! Seems like yesterday when I was just 19-yrs old and I saw Boomerang when it was first released in theaters! Still a timeless, classic, great movie to this day!!! 👍🏾👏🏾
Ngl this part annoys the fuck out of me his ass talking about I can’t breath without you but cheated on her ass and her dumbass took him back he gonna end up doing the same shit dumb hoe😂🤷♂️
This movie has some points in it. He found out having all the glamorous lifestyle and sex made him miserable. He quit his job and waited 4 months to come see her. Which probably means he wasn’t sleeping with anyone. And she was still single. Money can’t buy you love. Quote: The cost of love is patience
WORD! Black films in the 90s were SLAMMIN! Boomerang, New Jack City, Posse, Strictly Business, Mo Better Blues, Livin' Large, Boyz In The Hood, Jason's Lyric, Panther, Set It Off, Poetic Justice, Higher Learning, The Inkwell, Love and Basketball, Dead Presidents and so many more. I still rock the soundtracks today.
I will get a time machine so we can relive badass Black film moments like this movie, New Jack City, Posse, Panther, Boyz In The Hood, Set It Off, Jason's Lyric, Mo' Better Blues, Down In The Delta, Poetic Justice and all the other SLAMMIN' Black films from that time. I was 19 when Boomerang came out and that summer when it came out, is one I will never forget. R.I.P. John Witherspoon, Eartha Kitt, Geoffrey Holder.
VERY TOUCHING/POWERFUL SCENE . PERSONALLY BRINGS ME BACK TO THE ONLY WOMAN I HAVE EVER TRULY LOVED ( FACTS 💯 ) .. I STILL PRAY FOR HER AN HER NEW ENTIRE FAMILY/LIFE . THO I'M A MUCH BETTER MAN AN SHE IS GONE .. I STILL THINK ABOUT HER AN WONDER IF SHE THINKS OF ME/US .. I STILL FEEL HER PRESENCE. ( Can't help but think of her .. my apartment downtown window faces one of the hotels we shared regularly ).
What I find most hilarious now in my older age is how sexist and hypocritical this all is. Angela knew full well what Marcus' reputation was, yet she conveniently drops his friend who on paper is a 'Good Guy' and goes for Marcus. I have far less sympathy for her than I did when I first watched it.
people dont like whats good for them, not just women, its in us all. Good things we take for granted, we go for the bad things and complain when we get screwed, Human Nature i Guess.
The whole point of him saying that he couldn't breathe was to tell her my life is not complete without you. You guys have to remember how Marcus was before he and Angela were together; completely selfish, a player and a revolving door of women until he met his greatest match who was Jacqueline who by the way didn't give a fuck more than he did. But once Jacqueline did him wrong Angela was there for him. What distinguished Jacqueline from Angela was the fact that Angela was bubbly and artistic and sweet. She completely did a 180 after he cheated on her. But after she left Marcus did the greatest thing ever and that was to change. She made him see that he was not complete without her. Nothing felt right without her. That's what real men do
All that is true and more and another reason this is Angela resembled real love though. Jacqueline with all her glitz and glamor was nothing more than a fling, a booty call, and the fact is there was no way he could be in a real relationship with someone who was like him.
Bria Morgan, but he changed in the end, you obviously missed the whole point. Hell, I could say women like Jacqueline don’t change either, and I’ve met a lot of those in my day.
Derek Mathews I’m a guy like him and I’ll tell you straight up he didn’t change he just wanted what he couldn’t have. So that’s temporarily the case until he gets tired again
@@jaypay3502, well whatever the case is he came to his senses and realized that long-term he couldn’t be with a woman like Jacqueline. Jacqueline was selfish too. She just couldn’t let Marcus and Angela be happy when they were together. Overall. she treated men extactly how Marcus treated women. SMH
The crazy thing is that women will know he's up to no good and pretend as he is something that he's not. Marcus didn't trick any woman in the movie, he lived open and most of if not all the women knew his reputation but still wanted him. It's the women fault for being delusional.
Marcus almost lost a good thing because of his lustful, superfreak, playa self. He had sense enough to beg her to come back because it's not about the sex it is about the person.
Certified G, you are right about that. He had enough sense to know that long-term it wasn’t going to work out because him and Jacqueline. Angela reminded me of a college friend of mine named Tara. She was classy, conservative, smart, and trustworthy. Jacqueline was the total opposite. Mean, selfish, she was a lot like Marcus in the way she treated men.
Halle Berry thicc thicc 😂😂
That Johnny Gill song lives in my head since I was in high school watching this movie. Childhood memories.

It's called being damaged..Real life...
Marcus hurt Angela badly. She had every right to curse.

All time great cast excellent writing and storytelling!!
Boomerang and The Bodyguard were THE soundtracks of 1992.
Absofuckinlutely!! And the debut of Mary J Blige, TLC, and SWV....1992 was incredibly monumental!! Unreal 🔥🔥🔥
And Juice 🔥

This green screen fucking half of the screen fucks it up
I love this ending. Not quite as good as the ending to pride and prejudice but its good.
Wtf is that movie
Comparing Pride and Prejudice To Boomerang isn't a fair comparison to make, but we all have our opinions. . .

Im her, so? She didn’t have to go along with it. When he was dating Jacqueline, Angela was all up in his business about that New Orleans trip LOL.
Under Hassan her and Gerard were never a couple tho

That's the upscale remix version of "Give U My Heart"... which isn't on the soundtrack.
