Grief Is Personal
Grief is such a personal experience... but because we don't talk about it we can tend to judge others on their grief journey and even the way we grieve. Remember no two griefs are alike... you grieve in your own way, because grief is personal. Let's give each person compassion and grace for them to grieve in their own way.

All grief is complicated..but some is just more complicated than others. What makes grief complicated? Multiple factors: your relationship to the deceased, the way they died, your mental and physical health beforehand, your support network... and the list goes on.

I had a great conversation with Jason Wilson about grief. What makes you feel like you're going crazy in grief and why. we touched on why it is so hard to tell people how we are really feeling, on children and grief and funerals. If you feel like you're going crazy, listen in... you're not, you're grieving!
Integration in grief

Grief does not have to define the rest of your life. It might feel like it will, but if you can integrate it, you learn how to carry it with you without it defining you. You find space for both the sorrow of loss, for gratitude what was and for hope at what might be.

Sometimes grievers feel like they either have to grieve or move forward toward life. I don't think it is an either or... It is more of an 'and'. We must learn how to grieve AND live life.
