I was a New Yorker for 14 years (last 10 I've been in California), so it's fun to see you guys so excited to experience all of my usual stomping grounds. I used the lower half of Central Park all the time--the best way to escape all the concrete, which can start to feel over-powering when you live there. The Toy Store did move from its original location at some point. Also, when I moved to NYC in 2000, the old Plaza check in desk was still open to the public. At some point around 15 years ago it became the residence lobby. The new public front desk was originally a small event space..

Haven't been in NY for a super long time. Not that sure I'd live in the USA again. It was fine to visit but it can be a shit show to live and work in, especially dealing with health cover. I also suspect its going to get very dark super quickly. However, NY is unique (rather like London). Both their own world.. My sympathy over the Iphone e-sim - been there , bought the QR code.

Great vlog guys , I love Manhattan as well! My favourite time to visit is actually January, it’s so cold, it snowed on 5th avenue and as I love the snow ❄️ it was fabulous! November does look good ! I picked up my first iPad at the Apple Store you were in ! X

Another great and informative video!. Although when I lived in Spain and my property was high in the hills overlooking the mediterranean, and I am one for panoramic views . I have never figured out why anyone would want to live in an apartment block on its highest floors. I wouldn't be able to rest, waiting somebody to shout FIRE!.

I agree, Homesense originally was better stocked when they first opened. But all that said, I think it depends where you are in the country. I am based in Kent but am in London weekly. And I have found and purchased some great furniture pieces. Two of my items were on sale at OKA £200 more and the other item I saw last week in West Elm at £340 more. A lot of their 'larger' furniture pieces are produced in India etc. Also much like M&S and Tesco have the same food suppliers, and it is just labelled with each of the retailers branding. This is similar to Home Sense.

People rave on about Paris Ooooh, the city of love etc. i have been to Paris three times. Two on business, one with an ex (who insisted on going) and the third on an ex who insisted seeing paris. I love the french but can't stand paris. But Rome, well that is another story!. Rome - the The historical architecture, History, vatican City, and that whole vibe that it is all wrapped-up in. Apart from the outstanding History of the city, this has got to be the city of romance over Paris, surely.

I was last in Bath in 2011/12 with friend. It is such a beautiful city, with the grand georgian architecture. To see the sandstone buildings at there best is on a summers evening a few hours before the sunsets from a hill overlooking the city. Bath and the surrounding Somerset villages give of that 1930's (per-war) perfectly simple, english country village vibe. I also agree with you guys, Neptune is a fabulous store, Displayed and laid out like large homes rather than showrooms.

Has yo mentioned about the small wooden shelf unit, that if it was displayed elsewhere you probably wouldn't like it. When choosing candles you should just smell them, rather reading what is just a fictitious name created by 'marketing' teams sat in an office to attract you 'sight' senses rather than your 'smell' sense first. It's a bit like passing someone in the street wearing say, Dior Oud, Roja Haute, Maison Francis, Baccarat Rouge perfume etc. Your senses may or not pick up on this in passing (hence it can't be that appealing to you). But if you where to see any of these marketed and packaged in a store with all the dross that goes with any marketing, then you may suddenly pick up on that same sent that you passed in the street (hence didn't attract your senses) but due to "All that stuff" (quoting Amanda Priestley!), you are now suddenly attracted to it . Put a blindfold on, smell all the candles, pick the one that 'attracts your senses (and 'you' think smells best) buy it, remove your blindfold and if the label says ' Cow Dung and Morning Dew' Stick with it!. 🤣

A store finally opened in a near by city and I was so excited to go smell all the things! It was so fun! She gave me a beautiful hand massage and I eventually purchased my first Jo Malone scent!! Orange Marmalade. It's scrumptious! I'm hooked!
