It seems to do an emergancy sequence on the second closure, as it does a hangman but then the barriers go back up, before coming back down again. Nice video! The fact that there isnt a single video in this video without a hangman is insane. I haven't even filmed this crossing without a hangman

That same Enviro 200 (along with its sibling, PX12 CNZ) gets HEAVILY used on the CR5 (formerly known as the X11 and before that, the 216 back in the day). In case your interested, its fleet number is 210.

Errrr Don't you mean Adelaide Road Level Crossing??? That is it's formal railway name. Until 1980, there used to be gate box with a lever frame & controls provided for a railman to locally operate the gates, but the Absolute Block Instruments were operated by the Signalman in the nearby St Deny's Signal Box, who electrically released the "slotted" signal levers. I am a retired Train Driver who at one time lived locally, so I know... The gates/barriers (& signalling) are now controlled by one of the signalmen at Eastleigh Signalling Centre with CCTV cameras giving a view of the road & crossing

That is a very annoying warning sound by those crossings, imagine living next to it.

Glad to hear it's being closed. While there is some charm to user operated crossings in rural areas with low frequency traffic, having them in urban settings with high traffic frequencies in this day and age is crazy.
