Wow 400k miles! I would be happy to get that out of mine. I have an 05 civic LX SE with 140k on it. So far so good. I know our gen civic can have head gasket issues. Have you had to replace head gasket ? Any major issues ? How often do you change oil ? Are you burning any oil ? Lastly what mileage did you buy the car ?
No head gasket issues, no other major issues. Oil is changed every 3,000 miles if not sooner and does not burn any. I just recently purchased the car but I know the previous owner and the car’s history.
@ oh wow that’s awesome! Thank you for the reply. Definitely earned a sub! These gen civics I feel like are slept on. Whoever had the car before you definitely took care of it. Would love to see what it looks like under valve cover one day! How do you like the Valvoline maxlife ? I was thinking about going with that or Pennzoil Ultra plat. I heard both have a good ad pack.
Tip: Get some gloves next time
Relaxing video good stuff
Glad you enjoyed it.
for tax reasons im guessing you say its 1000
That’s how much I paid for the car.
Valvoline is my Favorite when it comes to Transmission Fluid. Question, does your car really take 5W-20? My outdated brain still thinks that any 20+ year old vehicle still takes 5W-30.
Yes 5w-20 is what’s recommended by Honda.
I love old cars. So much easier to work on.
What year Civic? I have the same bucket lol. For the oil plug and old filter I wear a plastic bread bag. Just throw the bag away after it gets wet.
It’s a 2004.
@@TrevorMuellerTV that’s pretty impressive - 400K miles. I have a ‘12 Accord with only 135K miles, so now my goal is to get it to 400K miles! What kind of maintenace do you do on your Civic? (Obviously oil changes).
Oil changes, air filters, cabin air filters and trans fluid.
@ that’s what I was thinking too! 👍🏼
try the valvoline restore and protect engine oil. should clean up some of that sludge
If you do this definitely cut the next oil change interval down a bit. Just because when it does clean up some sludge or deposits, it can put more stress on the filter
@@dannyrbailey or just get two or three cheaply filters and change those filters out throughout the interval, because I’m planning to do the same thing on my ‘12 Accord next year when I use the VR&P.
I'm assuming original engine? Amazing.
Yup, still rocking the original engine!
Trans also? Awesome
Yes, still has the original clutch in it.
You didn’t hook up the coax. The antenna is going to short out on the side of the bed. Never going to be able to properly adjust your SWR😂
So basically. Just like a battery tie down
Uh yeah NO
What size antennas are you using ? 2’ 3’ ?
I'll never understand the people who do this for looks and lols.
Wireless CB antenna?
Yeah this is exactly how NOT to install a cb antenna.
Hahahahahahahahaha😂. That's horrible.
Are you gonna connect coax? 😂
I just saw this. Ok.... If you are going to use two antennas like this, the best place to mount them is between the engine hood and the inner fender. Use thin enough material to fit, yet still be strong enough to hold the antenna's weight. The mount will be out from the fender somewhat. A 1/4 wavelength is 8' 6". This is the distance you need to get the proper performance and swr out of your antennas. You will still need to check and maybe adjust your swr but it shouldn't be out by much if you use the proper coax. The other option is to use the same location as pictured but create mounts that have the antennas 8' 6" apart. These options will also make it a hell of a lot easier to connect the coax.
Lmfaoo this is how to absoloutley not install antennas😂
This was the stupidest video ever what a waste of time!
The antennas will outlast that f150.
The closer the antenna to the cab the Shittier it is.
What branch did you serve in?
Grounding & Bonding issues there
Where is the coax and the radio how is your swr being that close to the bed?????
WRONG! cb antennas if not spaced 8 ft apart will interfere with each others signal.. this is not the proper way! i run 1 5 ft firestick 5/8ths wave on my f150 mounted to the tool box and i get 15 miles with a stock cobra 29 and grey heavy duty coax
The next video in this series: How to repair rust on a Ford.(AKA Buying a new Ford)
What size is that toolbox
GEEZ, the base of the antenna has no ground plane. This is why you see mag-mounted antennas in the roof center so they will Transmit and Receive in a 360 deg pattern. That mess you have requires 75 ohms coax not the std 50 and being mounted low the SWR will be off and Trans and receive will be towards the rear and crappy, to say the least towards the front. Find your local Ham Radio shop for help. PS don't be upset if they laugh
It's cool looking with two antennas but you probably will have some RF problems with that set up however thanks for sharing 👍 don't mind the comments it's all about learning
Totally wrong. Lmao
Seems like money wasted as this install is only good for appearance, not performance.
Ok, now how are you going to connect the coax?
Through the cab vents.
@@TrevorMuellerTV hahaha, yeah,right.
More like, "How to tighten a nut"
Don't know way people install. Cb antennas behind cab of pickup truck. ..always gonna be high swr... To much metal around antennas ..
That's what I thought!
This is the perfect video on how NOT to properly install an antenna. You have no apparent ground plane. Your radiating element is grounded to the truck bed. Your Coax is not accessible. These are tiny penis flagpoles at best.
Dont quit your day job
What is the foot on the antennas? 2?
That’s what I was looking for I would think 3’ at the most
Thats it..... Really.... Lol wth?
Need idea, awesome technique, this is the way I'm going to install my "Tool Box" thanks, this video was very helpful.👍
Nice
Video on how not to install a antenna.
How to mount a flagpole? More like struggling to zip tie a pvc pipe to the bed. How bout showing people how you mounted the flag, flagpole, etc
well it was pretty obvious the flagpole slid down into the PVC pipe.
Lol, definitely not the proper way! That would be a direct short whenever the spring touched the stake pocket. What a clown, don't anyone follow this advise.
Somebody hold the fucking camera for this guy!
OMG,I was thinking the same thing. It was killing me
So basically I learned how to bolt on a antenna that’s not doing anything
Simple, secure, fast
This folks, is exactly how a DUMBASS with ZERO knowledge, installs an antenna!
When installing a dual CB setup, you need an absolute minimum of 5' between the two antennas. Anything closer, and the antennas will be too close to perform properly. Ideally, you should be closer to 9' as a minimum for peak performance.
