Yeah, this album here was played by KOPKUOP space out of Stockton and then those days we went down to your local vinyl dealer, a.k.a. tower records on Broadway and procured this album which every song still sounds good 47 years later oops

Sad news of the demise of Dr. Mabhaca Joe Malinga. He passed away on Thursday 30 May 2024 at a hospital in Thohoyandou. He was based at the University of Venda where he taught music. This song takes me back to my varsity days when I first heard it (1983/84). The sense I have is that he did not get his full recognition. He blew his reed horn very well. MHSRIP.

I saw Marian and her Trio at Winthrop University in about '84... I loved her long before then. And even more now... I'm 62.

Thanks for posting this. Could you also post the other tracks from this record, please? I can't find them nowhere on the internet, nor I was able to find a copy of the LP on sale. This track really struck me, it'd be a pity to lose any evidence of such music.
