Love the added clips

The added clips are irritating

I would say the movie was beautifully made, however, it takes place in Germany and you can’t get your actors to use a damn German accent????? Story was ridiculous. Costuming was 10/10.

Good grief! With 2 exceptions I enjoyed every film on your list! I agree about Madame Web, tho. A very bland, tiresome movie. The original Strangers, I thought, was far better than the remake. I liked Imaginary and Night Swim and even Joker 2 ! My taste must be worse than I thought!

I am one who really likes the movie, but I don't actually interpret the film as one which tears down religion. Rather a movie which really promotes the idea of individual faith/affirmation through individual transcendence. Sister Barnes being our own Virgil with Sister Paxton as Beatrice, guiding us (the audience) through hell.

Have you heard about Matrix 4? You know, this film most viewers pretend it never happened. I suspect this will happen to Joker 2.

Not a fan of this franchise if I'm honest. I watched some bits and pieces here and there and it is not for me, even though I do enjoy slasher horrors. The way it is filmed has dirty flavor to me. It focuses basically on making the most absurdly grotesque, gory and prolonged kills. That is it. That's the whole thing. I will admit though, the actor playing Art does a very good job.

I had a blast watching the movie. Yes, it had some shortcomings (a bit too many jump scares, Morris could be utilized to a greater extent) but I was thoroughly entertained by this film. The story makes sense in the lore and is interesting, the film looks beautiful, and Naomi Scott gave the performance of 2024 in my eyes, male or female. A very demanding role, both psychologically and physically and she is flawless. As to the long shot you mentioned, I read an interview with her in which she praised the use of long shots even in her own scenes, which helped her get to the mood and go with it. She also mentioned one more thing, which I found slightly amusing. When she needs to drink a lot of water after some traumatic event happened to her character, the director told her - "Naomi, just do what you can". And she gulped the whole damn bottle in a matter of seconds. No idea how she managed to do that (no VFX were used for this).
