Tater Totz - "Don't Worry Kyoko" Live at BeatleFest 1988
Переглядів 8 тис.11 років тому
The infamous, chaotic, riot inducing performance from Tater Totz at the 1988 Beatlefest at the Bonaventure Hotel, Downtown Los Angeles. This one time line up included 1970's teen idol Jimmy McNichol on percussion, Steve McDonald on bass, Bill Bartell (aka Pat Fear) on guitar, Jennifer Schwartz on vocals, Victor Indrizzo on drums, and Dave Markey on bongos and backing vocals. Beatle fans were no...

The life of a "celebrity" can be difficult. Witness this "star" in her element, many moons ago. She attacks the cameraman with stuffed animals, on Valentines Day no less in a valley drug store, amid signing autographs of course.

Film by Merrill Aldighieri, available on the DANSPAK DELUX DVD at artclips.free.fr/danspak1-2-3.htm About the most haunting and mysterious music video to come out of 1980. America- Free To Think. Row row row, it's happening! If this doesn't rekindle your relationship with the New Romantic movement, nothing will.

The Redd Kross book “Now You’re One of Us” sent me here. This sure beats listening to today’s music🤘😎🤙
bagist excellence.
I really miss Bill Bartell. This world is a much less interesting place without him.
❤
My right ear really enjoyed this :)
"LIVE HATE AT BEATLE-FEST" APPLECORE RECORDS
awesome... making those Beatle Boomers' heads explode is always a beautiful thing
Just how did they get on the bill, anyway?
way better than pearl jam
awesome
amazing
Holy Cow. Everything is 14 years ago.
Nice girls.
I put a plastic bag like that over my head in 5th grade - to make a rain poncho for a field trip. The teacher FREAKED OUT screaming that I was going to suffocate myself. I think I made a hole just like she did - AFTER it was on my head.
That’s some serious Bagism
I'm sure John woulda approved👍
They were singing Give Peace A Chance while they were walking out of the ballroom. My friend went out to talk to them quickly. He wanted to perform with them but couldn't find them in time. Still love it, whether the other supposed Beatles fans die or not. Ck out the video i did of them performing Tommorow never knows. A psychedelic mind trip . I have most of the 19 conventions still on audio and have quite a few photos. Would you have any more video available by any chance?
that's it
Jimmy McNichol rocks!
Bagism and brilliant! Shambolic genius.
Is there a stereo recording of this? I really hope.
Yes indeed it was released on a 7" by Survival Records UK 1982
Amazing Richard. Masterpiece. Thank You !
I was there for that performance. Wayyyyy cool!
So was I. Have most of the 19 conventions either on CDor on cassette. Miss those fab days
This is the greatest work of art in the history of the world.
Still the greatest live performance I've ever seen! The audience hated them!
I have the event now on CD after having it on tape for years. Remember It very well. Forgot to ask, how were you able to film it? I still dig it .STILL HAVE BOTH OF THEIR ALBUMS
zsa zsa gabor
who the fuck is she??? :/
I was screaming along with the song and I happen to enjoy most of Yoko's music anyway. I can greatly relate to her pain. To bad I can't find a version of them doing Tomorrow never knows here on You Tube.
I was there digging it all. I thought that it was great. Am listening to one of their CD's right now. I have attended 19 Beatles Conventions in Los Angeles from 76 until 2000. The quake in 94 threw me over here to Phoenix. Sure miss those fab weekends. At least I have most of them either still on cassette or CD.
I think it's Charo.
I was AT this Beatlefest (it was my first one), but somehow missed this brilliant performance. As I was only 17 at the time, I probably wouldn't have appreciated the awesomeness of it then as I do now. I discovered the Tater Totz in the early 90s when I found Mono on cassette and have been a fan ever since. GREAT upload and thanks for sharing!!
+dave idmarx Yes, i was at this Beatlefest along with 18 others back home in Los Angeles. This was the first riot of sorts at Beatlefest. I was digging it. I do have this convention and most of the others i have attended . Sure do miss those fab weekends. The quake from 22 years ago today threw me over here 400 miles away. Amazing that one event changed my life forever. Sure miss the home land as well. I do have both of Tater Totz cds. They do a fantastic cover of 'Tomorrow never knows." They also were part of the punk band Red Kross
who is she????LOL
Awesome song! Not sure how Homer became a Laker fan, but it's all good. Wish I had song on mp3...
