    Full eye makeup one week after surgery?? I've been told not to use eye make up for at least 2 weeks, sob.

    • @sighttrust
      @sighttrust 19 днів тому

      That is correct; you need only 1 week without makeup!

      @@sighttrust Can I also continue to use a prostaglandin containing lash serum a week after lens replacement?

    • @sighttrust
      @sighttrust 13 днів тому

      @@Ladynipchick2 You can usually re-start eye medications and cosmetics after 1 week, but each doctor has a different viewpoint about this. You don't want to scratch your eye by mistake or use non-sterile products that can get on the eye surface too soon after surgery, so be extra cautious. Your doctor may not want you to resume prostaglandins for several weeks because some people can get increased or prolonged inflammation (swelling) from this chemical.

      This technology does not cause dry eye like LASIK does. While some people do see halos with trifocal implants, they tend to diminish over a few months.

      Google says 3k-6k per eye. If 6k total that seems like a very reasonable cost for a lifetime permanent procedure. I would go for it if it was 6k. I would pay a grand or two upfront and finance the rest with care credit for a year.

    Can you see far and near in both eyes seperately? Or is one eye for close and the other for far?

    • @sighttrust
      @sighttrust 9 місяців тому

      With this technology each eye can see far, mid-range and near permanently. While we can also focus one eye for distance and the other for near, a term called monovision, having both eyes work together gives better depth perception and a natural way of seeing!

      Cataract surgery is one of the most common procedures performed worldwide. It is also one of the oldest. Alongside advancements in cataract surgical techniques have been improvements in intraocular lens replacement technology. Cataract surgery may be considered among the most successful treatments in all of medicine. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6139750/

      Yea this doctor seems a bit on the shady side. I have watched many many YT videos on cataracts and talked to my optomologist and never once heard anywhere else the halo's go away over time with extended depth lenses. How could they possibly go away the halo's are due to the multi focal rings present in the IOL that give you the extended depth!!! He also doesnt mention the loss of contrast or loss of night vision negatives. I have talked to 2 different optomologists and both said they have horrible sucess rate with the accomodating lenses and don't recommend them at all. In addition he strongly implys that monofocal lenses are the same as old types that need a large incision and longer healing times and this is not the case at all! Monofocal lenses are rolled and inserted through small incision just like every lens!! I just had cataract surgery, old school with a scalpel and monofocal lenses and I am super happy with the results even 2 days later.
