Across the Africa 2018-2019 Cape to Cairo
From Cape Town to Cairo, crossing 8 countries: South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Tanzania, Kenya, Ethiopia, Sudan and Egypt. We travelled for 12k km in almost 45 days. There were 4 persons: 2 with Transalp, 1 with Toyota and me with my Defender 90. After having overcoming many difficulties in Moyale and Egyptian border, we arrived at the finish line! Enjoy!
How can you avoid Ethiopia im told their borders has sringent demands
This is so interesting. I heard one could drive up the East coast of Africa. Not as easy on the West. Thank you!
I want to watch a video of this with some commentary. How did you get past every border crossing? What dangers did you encounter?
Are we using GPS or old school paper maps?
I use maps.me
Did you ship your car back to South Africa?
How many days?
@ 11:14 Looks like you got bullied by Kenyans 😂

so nice and so wild
The music is fire!!!
I'm planning a trip too, will a 2018 Toyota Land Cruiser do the job perfectly?
Probably depends on whether it's a diesel or gasoline, seeing as modern diesels often struggle with the amount of sulfer and water that is often found in lower quality diesel like in Ethiopia or Kenya. Other than that a land cruiser is definetly the most capable world overland vehicle.
A friend and I want to attempt a Cairo to Capetown Next year in the summer (July)
Next year is here, how far have you gone with the plan?
@@ulimbombonaulindi5088 😂 🤣😂 🤣😂 🤣
Good luck.. June - July is the coldest month in Kenya
Great video . Greetings from 🇬🇧
, hai avuto problemi? E in generale dove é sicuro campeggiare ?

This is beautiful. I’ve been planning to go on this road trip for a while. How much roughly would it cost me on diesel per vehicle? How many kilometres is It? And also how many days does it take to reach Cairo from Cape Town?
The most expensive diesel you will find is the one in Zambia and Tanzania around 1 euro for liter. In Sudan costs 0.08 cent and Egypt around 0.20. The ride takes 34-35 days for 12k km.
@@nicoloamadori6154 thanks a lot mate.
Where did you buy the cars and how? I am from Europe and am planning this trip for next year!
I have shipped the cars from Italy to cape Town, then back to Italy from Alexandria of egypt. If you need more information let me know
@@nicoloamadori6154 Our intention is to get a car shipped from the UK to Egypt and then drive to Cape town next year.
Hey, did you make the trip? How was it? Did you film it?
