What was the explosion from lol
Thank you, thank you, thank you! This was extremely helpful and saved me the $2,600 the dealer quoted me to fix the sunroof drainage system!! You are a life saver!

Another quick way ( if you don’t wanna tap into ac drain line and route the hose from driver to passenger side ) is to run that 3/8 hose on each side separately straight down to the floor into the deep channel that’s there ( water is sitting there when you have a leak ) and drill a hole in it and push hose thru the floor outside. So new hose is routed under the dash straight down to the floor.
Damn you should do a walk around and build break down and what wheel and tire fitment you’re running
Going to do this on my 2015 G37 😅
@@KidCigano it’s worth it!
what bumper is that and did you drill holes for the fogs lights on it currently?
I recently attempted to fix my sunroof drain since it started leaking towards the A/C condensation line. I did the method where you get new hoses and reroute everywhere. But now anybody know why my A pillar sometimes leaks?I did all the steps correctly; my old hoses stopped leaking and flows good now but when i do the water test and pour water down the sunroof drain 80% of the time it works than the other 20% water leaks from the A pillar. not the actual hose because i see water running though it and going down but sometimes a little bit of water goes past the hose and into my A pillar causing it to drip
TV: Begging for mercy
“Yeah that’s a problem” lol yes sir it is, thanks for the vid, same issue
That’s more like 3000 no way it’s 2000. That car is doing wheelie man💀
Is that the one that beat the hoonicorn
This will happen! I had an 08 Infiniti sedan, carpet were soaked! Then I had an 07 Infiniti sedan it ruined my ecu, and now I have an 08 Infiniti coupe carpets wet 😭😭😭 I will do this
Fuck yeah, dude. Thanks for this. I hope this is my problem. My BCMs are getting wet as well as my floor, hopefully i can track that drainage line and find it leaking. My car was parked under pine needles-which clogged a ford of mine years ago-if i can’t get it clear this will save my car! Thanks again.
could you just plug the sunroof drain on the roof with caulk/flex seal so that it doesnt even flow down the passenger side pillar?
To remove the drain completely? No that’s asking for disaster. Will soak your headliner and everything below. The drain is there for a reason.
@@importlogic I was thinking it could just divert to the driver side instead.. ie just plug the side that’s leaking
What video is this
Thanks for taking the time to post your video with the information on how to fix the clogged Infiniti sunroof drains. With your help, I was able to do my drains exactly the way you did it. I was losing hope watching other videos because I didn't want to have to try and replace the plug.
How do you run the hose down the A pillar? It’s literally where I’m stuck at.
I just shoved it down untill I could see it from the bottom with a flashlight and pulled it. Might need to do some fishing but it wasn’t too difficult.
I have a 2011 FX35 do you think it’s different? By looking at your video it looks literally the same.
The only reason why I kinda like these

"I must go. My people need me."
I have the same problem with my 2010 Infiniti FX35. My carpet were soaked like yours. I did extensive research on this and found that the cause of the problem is the drain plugs that terminate in the firewall. I watched a lot of videos of people trying to replace those, or modify their existing plugs by taking out the baffle and putting in a metal straw. This seemed extremely difficult and beyond my skill set. I didn't want to pay $1500 for the dealer to replace the drain plugs only to have it happen again so I decided I would do it myself. When I pulled the carpet up I saw the AC drain in the floorboard and thought that I might be able to use that. I searched on UA-cam to see if anyone else had the same thought and found your video. We must think alike. I'm good at troubleshooting and coming up with solutions, but not so good at executing the solution so I am glad that you posted this video to show me how it's done. I am going to attempt it in the next few days as soon as I source the parts. This seems like the best fix for this solution. What I am really surprised at is how come there isn't a recall for this problem since it happens to EVERYONE at some point. It's not just wet carpets you have to deal with either. I have read horror stories about people who have had electrical problems from the water ruining their ECMs and other electronics. I love Infiniti but I will never buy another one with a sunroof.
So glad to hear that this video helped you! Let me know how it goes!!!!
@@importlogic I just did my passenger side using your technique and it worked well. I really appreciate people like yourself that share your knowledge because without it, I wouldn't have been able to fix it. I sent you a $ tip, it's not much but I just wanted you to know I appreciate your help. I've never tipped anyone on the internet before and I never pay for content.
@@JubeProductions WOW! Thank you 🙏 that is appreciated more than you know!!!
Damn that shit fast 😬
Turn that shitty music off
Thanks for commenting and helping the algorithm. Even comments like this are helpful :)
Question, what if it's happening in my back floorboards. Will it be the same process before I tear something up trying to fix it? 😂
Water from the front probably sloshing to the back when you get on the throttle.
@@importlogic well, when I first noticed it, it was just built up in the back floorboard with no driving. So you're saying repairing the front would probably repair the back? Because there was definitely a small amount in the front . And thanks for the fast response! 🙏
@@American_HitchHiker most likely, I’ve never had a issue with rear drains. But I have seen front drains leak and cause water standing in the front and back floor boards. Start with the front and see if that fixes it.
thanks dude. this helped a lot.

Just finished this job. Exactly how he said. Cost me about 10 bucks. 6 for 10ft tubing. The rest for fittings at Home Depot.. got it done in about 30 mins. Cool project. Thanks again.
IM MORE OF A CUSTOM GUY MYSELF.. THANKS FOR THIS. GREAT JOB
Yo I’m having trouble with the ac hose I did everything but it’s still leaking from there
Need to tighten it down more or something. All that’s there that can leak os one of your connections to the barb.
I got zip ties on it
Can I send a picture
And a t not a brass a 1/2 inch tee
I'll be doing this, this weekend. Noticed water coming in after the car wash. Seems way easier than the other solutions. I'll keep updated after I don't myself.
I’m guessing the AC drain hose is also 3/8?
It was slightly bigger. Some people are saying it was 1/2 inch. I need to revisit this video soon.
@@importlogic but you used a 3/8 T and it worked fine? I just picked up t parts and i got the 3/8 for the ac hose i should be okay?
@@hammadahmed3633 correct hat to tighten down the hose clamp a bit more than the other but no issues! Just leak test it before putting the carpet back in.
@@importlogic just finished, works great, bro i just want to thank you for real,
