Lead Hand Leverage Is Key For Control
Переглядів 10511 місяців тому
Gaining lead hand leverage gives us the ability to properly set the club in the backswing without using our trail arm, usually our dominate arm, to pull in an effort to help support the weight in the lift of the backswing which then can cause serious issues in transition, one of which is a loss of speed as well as face control at impact. The ability to properly leverage the club in the lead han...
Width = Speed

To gain faster hand speeds and therefore club head speed we must first gain width and maintain it throughout the backswing and downswing as that gives us greater leverage of the club and higher club head speeds when released at impact.
Ball Distance
Переглядів 53Рік тому
We get asked often during lessons how far should a player be from the ball and I think our answer my surprise you…..the ball is the least important in a consistent setup and the distance we want to measure to be the same every time actually has nothing to do with the ball at all.
Front Foot Ground Pressure with NFL Pro-bowl receiver Koren Robinson
Переглядів 2512 роки тому
Understanding that our relationship of our feet with the ground is critical to a players ability to create force speed and power in the kinematic sequence of the swing through proper body positions in motion and how that optimizes centrifugal force along with the transfer of energy to the ball.

What did he say he pushes off back foot?
Why do you want to tilt your shoulders down with your irons? Dont you want to swing down on the ball?
Simple is always the best and quickest way to improve. Great instruction there.
Worst advice for 95% of golfers. Jack and tiger said to use the hands. The hands and arms control everything and create over half the power in your swing
Thank you for your feedback. They did but not at the start of the swing. Fast hands to start the swing will create slower hands in the hitting zone. But you are right they did say that, and I do agree, but in the right zone of the swing which would be coming into the hitting area.
Great instruction - shame about the distracting background music.
This is great stuff!
i played a lot of hockey when i was young and that's how we hit a long hard slapshot, the same action as that drill we would dig our skates into the ice to kinda brace and then blast with the hands, arms and stick.
Yes that is a great example of similar motion!
i've seen the drill before and have used it in my swing and it did really help, maybe i should be doing it a lot more. thnx.
Thank you it's definitely a great drill!
Hi, what happens if teamA: 2 players. Teamb: 3 players. TeamA wins but teamB has a birdie?
The wolf is supposed to go last. If the wolf goes first and they stripe one, there’s no pressure on them to pick someone vs going last
Question about his setup, I noticed the ball position is way behind. Is that advisable, or should the ball placement for a mid-iron always be in the middle?
They didn't cover the money part of the game. How much per hole how much when lone wolf how much with a partner ???
It’s funny how golf instruction changes over time. I still remember the iconic “X Factor” article by (I think) Jim McLean in Golf Digest a long time ago, stating that you should restrict your hip turn and maximize the difference between hip turn and shoulder turn to achieve more load in the upper body to get more swing speed. Now almost every instructor teaches greater hip turn, which I like because it provides good swing speed and it’s much easier on the lower back.
his swing did look better and mpr solid hit.
I’m 53 and struggled since 20 to be consistent at golf. My hips would always stall and the arms and hands take over flipping through impact. I took this thought of keeping the core moving back and through letting the arms stay passive and wow I’m hitting like never before. This core thought automatically makes the legs and hips move. Thanks for sharing!
Love Gary Player! Caddied for him a year ago outside Philadelphia and was the greatest most informative 4 hours of my life! Was gracious to anyone who approached him and spent time with youngsters talking about the swing. Hope he lives to be 100!
Denying a partner, we call that shunning the other guy.
I like that!
We call this game "Captains". Low ball, low total and double on birds
How is the payout evenly divided in 5 some format.
It seems like the lone 🐺 and his partner are not getting a fair risk vs. reward. The payout is not clear. Does it have to be for a $1 each hole, what about $.25 or .$50
It even sounded much differently. I bet the ball speed was up 10 mph or more, a straighter, more penetrating ball flight, and 15 yards longer. Great stuff, guys.
Loved the compression on Billy's last swing!
Great video guys! I just started playing again last May, after 6 years off. Through taking lessons, I've been working on this, too. Getting a "deep right hip", and maintaining the hip depth, has been a game changer.
Gary Player, besides being a legendary golfer, is one of the most impressive human beings I have ever seen. He tells the story about how he first got into working out/fitness. He was very young, and his older brother (I believe he was in the military), said some to the effect of, "Gary, you must exercise every day, and work on your strength... take care of your body." Gary promised his brother that he would, and he was off to the races. If I had to guess, Gary still does his daily regimen to this day. #Legend
Great content and quality of the video. Keep it up!

I put you in my AirPods and take your lessons to the range. This with the anti slice drill really helped. Swing is much more reliable and under control. Thank you.
Great to hear! Keep up the hard work and let us know how we can help.
Thank you so glad we could help!
Good🤗
Thank you!
Nice videos! level of the background audio is a little distracting from the video on this one.
Interesting video, but the background music was really annoying.
I hate to be picky and no doubt someone will cuss me for that but gentlemen there is no need to play music when someone is talking. Good advice none the less.
Great vid. Really great info. But how do you get "out of the chair" for the downswing? I'm getting stuck and hitting fat or across the ball.
Thanks for the question. The point of the "seat" is to get hip depth going back which should be mirrored going through on the other side.
Man, this poor kid is going to blow out his back with that move. Slide and flip. Teach him to learn how to rotate and he'll hit it much farther and straighter.
Love the authenticity!
Thank you!
A lot of coaches now favour a straighter trail leg at the top..even bryson dechambeau adopts a straighter trail leg (right leg if u r right handed player).
Thanks for the follow and question! Some do teach that but not many as its a hard position to come out of when transferring the energy to the center and then front side. For us we believe in some flexion in the load leg as our research hasn't found a sport yet where the athletes straighten their load/trail leg as they coil into it before they transition through the rest of the motion during the transfer of energy for maximum speed. With that being said there are a few athletes that are exceptions to this like Bryson.
great golf tip,thanks
Thank you for the comment and follow!
This is so true!!!
These are all “pitch” shots. A “chip” shot is a 7 iron or 4 iron , Chip the front of the green and roll to the pin . Your guys all used 60 degrees and pitched the ball half way over the green . Chipping is a skill that is sadly become unfashionable
Love this !
Thank you for the comment and follow!
Great advice but his swing literally doesn’t change at all. 🤣
I was thinking the exact same thing... like you not to be rude but....
The first swing and last swing look the same to me!🙏🏻
Thank you for the follow and comment. Yes during the video its hard to see much change and when working with players not all the change is evident to the eye but you could hear the difference in speed between shots. Also this is something we had been working on with this player for multiple lessons to this point so the change in the video was not as noticeable but from when we started it was drastic.
Awesome. this dude no what hes talking about . with the right hip, game changer Thanks
Thank you for the follow and comment!
An application of something that is common....well begun is half done.
Thank you for the comment and follow!
Very cool!
Thank you!
Nice meeting with Mr. Player.
Thank you! It was great to spend the time with the legend.
I have never seen this drill before and was unaware that I was bending my left arm in the downswing, No wonder I have been lacking distance. This will certainly make a difference. Thanks from NZ.
Thank you and we hope it helps!
Your going to kill this guys body. That still with the hips.looks incredibly painful and restrictive. I know you say it's the opposite but I find that very hard to believe in case to case.
He has a really strong grip going on there, looks like Zack Johnson's grip a bit.
Very good and simple drill but also extremely important. Thank you
Yes agreed! Thank you
This is an interesting drill. Would you also recommend it for Senior Golfers/Septuagenarians with swing speeds 86-90mph.
Yes this drill is good for anyone, no matter their age or speed, to start to feel the sequencing of the body coming through the downswing and the arm speed needed to keep everything connected and centered.
Why do some instructors want players to straighten the leg to get more hip turn?
I can't speak as to why some teach a different approach without knowing their program fully and their thoughts on the overall motion of the swing from start to finish. What we have found is that the load leg must remain flexed and engaged for maximum coil and energy transfer of the core and shoulders back and through in the swing. In fact our research doesn't show a single athlete in any sport that successfully straightens the load side of the trunk during weight transfer for maximum energy transfer over to the front side to create the most speed possible when hitting or throwing a ball of any kind.
