Dad and I head south to Canal Park in Akron, Ohio, to see the Akron RubberDucks, the Double-A affiliate of the Cleveland Guardians, as they face the defending Eastern league champs, the Erie SeaWolves. A 12-inning thriller!

Dad and I travel just east of Cleveland to Eastlake, Ohio, and Classic Park home of the Lake County Captains, the High-A affiliate of the Cleveland Guardians. With our plans to see the Lake County Captains delayed by postponement, Dad and I switch things up with a trip to Mercy Health Stadium in Avon, Ohio, where we see the Lake Erie Crushers of the independent professional Frontier League hosting the Washington Wild Things. We get our second doubleheader in two nights, this time with the Columbus Clippers, the Triple-A affiliate of the Cleveland Guardians. Our night at Huntington Park in Columbus includes plenty of fun and games, appearances by both mascots, and a visit to Dirty Frank's, a regional institution serving creative hot dogs. Dad and I have a huge night at Parkview Field in Fort Wayne, Indiana. We see the Fort Wayne TinCaps, the High-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres, as they face the Dayton Dragons (Cincinnati Reds). It's Star Wars Night on a rainy evening at LMCU Ballpark in Comstock Park, Michigan, home of the West Michigan Whitecaps, the High-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers.
