In the 2023 academic year, my thought was that my children should grow into socially responsible individuals alongside their education, becoming the hope of tomorrow. For the first time, on Children's Day 2023, we held their little hands and took them to Gandhi Bhavan. On that day, the Director of Gandhi Bhavan, Dr. Somarajan Sir, who accepted their small savings, remarked something unforgettable: "This small contribution from the little piggy banks is far greater than the 15 crore rupees worth of homes provided by Yusuff Ali Sir to mothers." This year, as the school reopened, the gift they received was individual piggy banks. These were meant for my children's thoughtful care towards the needy, orphans, and the sick. When these contributions were handed over to the Collector of Kollam, Mr. Devidas, for the disaster-stricken in Wayanad, I, along with my co-teachers and parents, felt immense pride and even greater joy. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Kollam Collectorate, especially LSGD Officer Anu Ma’am, for their immense care and affection towards the children. World Post Day Celebration 2024-25 at Angelkids Sasthamcotta At Angelkids Sasthamcotta, we believe in hands-on experiences that foster learning and growth. This year, on October 9, we celebrated World Post Day in a memorable and meaningful way for our little angels. Our angels had the delightful task of writing letters to their parents, pouring their love and thoughts onto paper. For many, it was their first experience with letter writing, and the excitement was palpable. Once their letters were ready, the entire group set off to the Sasthamcotta post office. The angels, full of enthusiasm, clutched their letters and eagerly awaited their turn to mail them. With wide eyes and happy faces, they gathered around the mailbox, ready to post their letters. The visit to the Sasthamcotta post office was an experience they will not forget anytime soon. For the angels, it was more than just a fun outing; it was an opportunity to learn about communication and how the postal system works. They were able to see how their words, written by hand, would travel to their parents, making the whole process magical. The excitement didn't end there. The angels also got a chance to interact with the Post Office Officials, learning about their role in delivering letters and parcels. This experience brought learning out of the classroom and into the real world in a way that was both educational and enjoyable.
