I felt genuine fear from a non-horror game because of that first encounter

The reason this was huge is because of the Lore Book "The Dark Future" Where it tells the story of Elsie and how she traveled from alternate future. In her original timeline the Traveler left, Eris became the oppressor who even enslaved Savathûn, and built an army out of Hive, Eramis's Fallen and Guardians who abandoned the Light and gave themselves to Darkness' temptation. So seeing that being prevented after all this time, it sure felt incredible.

Fun fact. If you find a ledge you can force them into a jumping up and then jumping down game if you keep moving back and forth from top to bottom. It’s funny watching them helplessly bend to their own pathing AI.
