This is my new girl Ramona! My first horse! Kinda, share boarding at least! This was her first somewhat solid jump. Well, the first thing that wasn't just a pole and standards. She's a 5 year old Thoroughbred. But the calmest Thoroughbred I have ever meet!

This is Ponies first show ever! He is only 5 years old and quite green. He was such a good boy for me and we went clear in cross country and show jumping rounds!

I BITE THE DUST AROUND 1:50 I was riding Buddy and well.. This happened. I was very surprised since we had done this course many times and then BAM. And yes, he loves hitting the poles... Ugh.

I had not been on Jack for over a year so my position on him might not be all that great. But he was being a very good boy for me most of the morning.
Little girl shows pony that shes in control

Comments have been removed and blocked on request of the mother of the girl riding and also the young girl because sickening people were becoming very harsh. The young girl looked great on her pony while practicing before entering the ring. I herd that she was nervous for the show. They don't normally use a crop on the pony but after being disqualified from every event so far because of refusal...

Re video- 'Little girl shows pony she is in control'. If you agree with the method she used, then allow people to comment! As a horse lover myself, I can see why people would get upset at calls from the mum to 'spank' the horse. The girl's timing with the stick wasn't great. She used it 3 times at least once too late after the event for it to even mean anything. Encouraging and correcting is OK but to be fair this video does look like a little girl just smacking a horse because it didn't do what she wanted. Is it really fair for a small child to be 'controlling' an animal? The title of the video didn't do you any favours. It gives the impression you are celebrating her actions.

If the pony is not listening to her or doing anything to her commands then technically you can spank the horse if it's not listening it was testing her and it makesher a better rider dont be a passenger be the rider dont letyour horse be the rider and control you no hate to anything your saying but this is what I think

So you know the “little girl in control” She DOES not need to whip her horse in front of the jump. Whenever my horse refuses a jump I pat his neck and let him look at the jump. Then I go again. It is NOT a need to whip your horse. And Since I have free rights to comment whatever I want, that trainer with the little girl sucks! And no it’s not the little girls fault. It’s the trainers. And do you research because horses can feel more than us humans can. It makes me sick to be in this world with these kinds of people. (Some god awful trainers and stupid people.) And I do not care for how much dislikes I get and whatever. What I’m saying is true.

I know what u mean when my horse refuses I let him look at the jump (I don’t pat him as he might think that’s what ur meant to do but all horses are different) go round again and give him more leg and if he goes over it I pat him and tell him he’s a good boy. I was angry as she slowed him to a walk then smacked him so hard then told him to go and there was NO need for it! It was like she was angry and taking it out on the horse. I TOTALLY agree with what ur saying

Noticed comments were disabled on the little girl showing the horse that she was “in control”, the girl wasn’t in control, the horse was, and smacking a horse with a crop because it doesn’t want to jump isn’t a good way to train a horse.

The previous video with that girl whipping his pony because he refused was disgusting, in fact comments are disabled (what a coincidence), there are so many reasons why a horse refuses to jump but for sure it's not their fault, of course someone told her to do it, in fact I'm not blaming her but those people.

Okay I'm not trying to hate or anything but your trainer should have removed the last jump, because when your horse finished jumping the 2nd to last jump he landed on the knocked down pole, that's why he tripped and why you fell off :(

Awful trainer! You rarely ever want to kick your horse. You will be surprised that you will get more speed by squeezing with your heels not going straight to kicking or cropping!
People are so rude! When a horse refuses, you have to turn right back to that jump and smack with crop! She was doing it right! The pony just wasn’t being good that day.

Any trainer that tells you to kick your horse hard is a bad bad bad trainer. Hopefully you found someone new and have learned from a better role model than this
SlyOctopus well some kids just nudge their horse like literally just touch the horse with their heel and the actual hard kick for them is a regular kick not in this case but we don’t use spurs and a “hard kick” to those kids is a regular kick which isn’t really a kick. It’s not that way in this case but it’s not always a bad trainer just some beginner don’t want to hurt the horse or don’t know.
SlyOctopus not always, I ride a thoroughbred and he never wants to listen to me, so I have to kick him a little hardener than many others horses I’ve ridden
That is one terrible trainer! My riding instructor would never be this harsh! I would change trainers if I were you. Poor horse :(

Ikr and the rider literally dosen't show the pony any encouragement that she wants her to jump the jump. Like a millisecond before the jump a horse has a flicker of 'are we jumping this?' in their minds and that's when your suppose to just give them a big squeeze to let them know that you want them to jump it

"Kick him hard" I wish he'd kicked the trainer in the head, it could only help her at this point. Rider should make better judgement and find someone else to help her and the horse.
That horse literally looks almost exactly like my horse except my horse is a darker brown and has a black mane and tail and has the same markings
