Cheap Trick performing at The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony at The Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY on April 8, 2016.
I was fortunate enough to see them last January, at a corporate gig at the Hard Rock in Atlantic City! One of my favorite shows. I got a few picks from Rick too!
in the 80s I wanted this band's CD and bought Super Tramp by accident. LOL These guys are awesome
I wish I still had my checkered Vans from back then. I was nearly cool at times back then.
Bun E.
Bun E.! Wow, the last third of Dream Police is crazy.
Audio sucks. They need to Mic a.ot closer to the stage
Great, great band. Simple, straight forward and always tight. An American Icon!
Saw CT for the first time in '78 at the Chicago Amphitheater. I was just 15 and have been a fan ever since. Congrats to them on finally being recognized by the R&R Hall of Fame. Well deserved! 👏👏👏
What a great fucking rock band cheap trick are. Good to see Ben e Carlos hasn't lost his skill on the drums
Ladies and Gentlemen on the drums, Mr. Bun E. Carlos!
So many good memories from the late 70's and 80's with their music blasting at countless parties. 👍🏻😎
Bun E. Was smiling through the whole song, a true percussion legend.
I saw Cheap Trick at the Brat Stop bar, in Wisconsin in 1976. It was the first bar over the illinois state line. Drinking at was 18, and we saw them for free. Great times.
absolutely! Bun E. Carlos.... there is NO substitute.... what a band... one of my very very favorites!! saw them 3 times.. with Bun E. !!
OHHHHHH THEY ARE HORRIBLE! DRUMMER ALL OFF! AND SINGER.
Saw them at the 1980 Texxas Jam@The CottonBowl, they blew everyone off the stage!! The crowd keep screaming 10 minutes after they left the stage!! The Eagles were the headliners+they had to follow the electrified crowed!!!😊
So glad to see Bun E. Carlos hitting the skins. There is NO other Cheap Trick drummer. After all these years, Robin Zander still sounds great. Bottom line: Cheap Trick can play. They are a live band. An anywhere, anytime band.
Zander still sounding exceptional. Wish he and Bun could get it together.
Please bring Bun back for a 50th year trick fest!! (Yes this year is 50, but nothing planned)
Bun’s playing makes all the difference in the world. It’s a thing of beauty. He’s every great producer’s favorite drummer and the best in rock music.
They all say he is great. Hell Tom Werman said he is the best drummer he ever worked with.
Saw the Budokan tour in 1978 in Mtl Forum. with Graham Parker and the Rumour and Prism I believe...great show!
1979 I was 9 going on 10. I love this Song: ( I want you to want me ) On the Radio. A neighbor said, Cheap Trick is the name of that band... I grew up loving Cheap Trick 🎉😊👍.
They didn’t rehearse and they hadn’t played with Bun E for several years.
Too bad they didn't follow in the shoes of Steve Miller and give the "Hall of Shame" the finger!!!
Flipping phenomenal! So much youthful energy oozing out of their aged pores! Congrats guys! You deserve all the respect!!
Cheap Trick is Robin Zander: vocals and guitars Rick Nielsen: guitars and vocals Tom Peterson: bass and vocals Bun E. Carlos: drums and vocals 1. I Want You To Want Me 2. Dream Police 3. Surrender
Loved how they put differences aside and played one more time for the fans who we all very much love them. Robin & Tom also showed some class when they went up to Bun E. right after playing Surrender to shake his hand. You guys are the best!
To the Rock group KISS . This is how you put your differences aside and enter the Hall of Fame properly !
Im 54 and someday before i die I'm gonna have a Lynyrd Skynyrd hat that looks like the white one Robin Zander wore at the rock and roll hall of fame induction
I was hearing power chords during the guitarists monologue during dream police and it wasn’t the guitar player
That bass player is playing guitar at the same time
no?
My older cousin had a poster of Cheap Trick that I fell in love with when I was seven. I remember checkered Vans shoes pattern, the typewriter font, the guitarist with a silly hat and guitar with two necks, and the drummer that looked like a private detective or detective at the office. Those are the visuals that stuck with me.
The best garage band in history. It took Japan to tell us how great they were. Cheap Trick deserves the Rock-N-Roll Hall of Fame.
Bun is the man. Watching him as a kid drummer gave me the gift of being relentless for live gigs.
Bun s solo album "Return from Bunezuela" is really good. He covers The Who s "Armenia City un the Sky"
Bun E ❤🤘
So nice they all got back together for this, I wish van halen had been grown up enough to do the same
surrender top 2 songs in rock ever
bunes allright tommys allright robins allright ricks all right were all all right
That was great. They obviously enjoyed the heck out of that, and it was so nice to see genuine smiles and affection between Bun E. Carlos and the other band members. In spite of all that went down, time has passed, there has to still be some fondness there, and thinking back over a career, it had to be a great moment for all of them. Plus....Bun E. Carlos has to be the chillest drummer of all time. He doesn't quite look right without a cigarette barely attached to his lower lip, but that's ok.
Classic lineup!
Tom Peterson's bass sounds like an orchestra,
The whole band still kicks ass, but Robin's voice - damn! So fucking good.
Lol the way Bun E. bangs right into Dream Police, and just destroys it down the stretch, as always...quick drink and drives them into Surrender. He is just so money. Miss him. Love this band.
This 3 song set is exactly what the scalper in Ridgemont High sings to hype up the Cheap Trick tickets! Classic stuff.
From my hometown of Rockford IL. Nielsen's dad owned a music store there for years.
Bun.carlo is the man!!
That guitar was a great musician and showman, but I couldn’t stand listening to him in interviews- he was so compulsive talking and getting the spotlight Not the lead singer- Robin very calm and communicated well
Robin’s voice sounds great!
Like the late Alvin Lee, Rick Neilson is under rated ❤
