First time trying out Berkley Crappie Nibbles. Check out Jigging with Jake he always uses these baits, so I figured I'd try em out. I did notice I caught bigger crappie with them. It looks like I'll be using them more often!

Got lucky and hooked up with a guide and his wife by the name of Gone Fishing Again with Tyler Groom 608-403-6403. They were absolutely amazing, pointed me in the direction, and kept me safe. They also cooked me lunch deer, burgers, and hotdogs If you're ever in Central Wisconsin, give em a shout.

Harvesting Bluegill at Bangs Lake Wauconda Illinois
Is there crappie in the Dupage River around Lemont?
I never fished the DuPage in the Lamont area so I'm not really sure but I don't see why not. I would look for hanging brush or small pockets where the water doesn't flow so fast. If not take a ride to Channahon state park you'll catch plenty of fish.
I have a clam fishtrap I did this yesturday thanks for video. Have fun modification
There’s fish for everyone
We’re is this at
This is the DuPage River in Channahon Illinois it's a state park and a very nice place to fish and yes I know there's plenty of fish for everyone. Thanks for watching!

Good afternoon ! Today is Sunday September 24,2023. I’m a 65 years old man. What are the two colors and the size of the ACC crappie stix shanks you are using and what are the name and color and size of that fishing line and what the name and size and color of them two jig heads you are using in this UA-cam video today please. May the Lord bless your heart today to answer all of my questions please and may the Lord bless you and your family and your UA-cam page in 2023 please 🙏🙏 ! Thank you so much and I will be looking forward from hearing back from you soon with all of my questions answered please. 🙏
What size reel you using?
It's a Piscifun Viper X 500. I use it for both open water and ice fishing. In my opinion, for the price, there's not much difference from any of my phlueger reels.
What part of illinois you from? i live in macomb 3 years ago i Started goimg to baTTLE ON BAGO IN WISCONSIN and started ice fishing what lakes you recommend?
I live in Northern Illinois. I recommend the chain o lakes in Lake County or Bangs Lake in Wauconda. I really like going to battle on bago it's always a good time, and the people are all very friendly. I haven't had a bad experience yet except 2022 when the wind was insane. When there's no ice in Illinois, I usually just head north. This year, I plan to do a little more ice fishing in Iowa, we'll see how it goes. Thanks for watching ill have more videos this winter. I'm not that big into open water fishing anymore only in the spring and fall.
Dude! You need to get ckackalackin. I keep checking for new VDOS.
Brotha, I wish I could im working out of state right now, and when I do go home, I gotta spend time with the family. Plus, there is a serious drought in my area. Everything is so low. I'll be home next Tuesday, and I'll be off for 7 days. I will surely be out there catching whatever I can, thank you for the motivation👊🏽👊🏽
Dont worry about losing your spot.... most people dont know how to fish and will leave after a little while
You got that right lol
New sub. I have noticed a big difference/increase in the number of bites I get, especially in stained or colder water, when tipping the jig with a crappie nibble. Now that the fish are more aggressive in the warmer water I get just as many bites with or without them.
I agree this is my first year using them,in past years, I tipped everything with wax worms, but going forward, the nibbles are the way to go for sure! Thanks for watching and subscribing. And good luck out there tight lines!
Bananasac said he was gonna steal my lunch money if i didnt come by and sub. Nice catch!
That's freaking hilarious. Thanks for watching and the support. I really appreciate it!!
Great Idea, I have an Eskimo 2 man thermal and all my gear and will be doing that to my sled this year for easier pulling and will still fit under my tonneau cover of my Canyon truck!! Thanks 👍 😊 🎣🎣
Thanks for watching. It will work out great. Mine fits perfectly into my Jeep wrangler. And this past season, I had no problems at all. I'm currently working on an auger mount. Once I get it done, I will be sharing the idea.
Great video!!! Thanks for the Shoutout You are right about how are area is over harvested. Also congrats on the PB Smallmouth, sucks the camera died.
Thanks bud! I always like to help out, Be safe out there and tight lines!
That's all i used is jigs for everything there fun. It's how pop your jig i make fish bite i get them so nervous they bite 😂 good video
This is honestly my first time using nothing but jigs I always used minnows. I agree its so much more fun. Thanks for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed 🤙🏽
Yes I watch jigging with Jake I live in Toledo Ohio
Yeah, he's an awesome fisherman and great with tips for sure! Thanks for sharing 👍🏼
I was afraid for you tripping and falling off that ledge. Scary.
Thanks for the concern, it can be a little sketchy sometimes and thank you for watching.
Those are like 6 inches, small dude, also don't see anyone around you.
Good video. Maybe I will run into you. I fish that area all the time. Keep up the great work.
That would be cool not to many of my friends fish. I'm always looking for a good fishing buddy!
@@FishingWFrijoles79 the canal has so many big fish in it. I don’t think people even know
What area is this
Aye que usar nomas un ansuel con nibble. A ver si murden.
la próxima vez que vaya usaré solo un gancho
Nice video but that’s a big problem with a lot of People who fish keeping “secrets” there’s nothing wrong with sharing what you’re using or where the bite is when you are done especially if someone is respecting your space I want someone else to catch fish as much as I want to catch them myself fishing is about coming together throwing your lure back in so fast so no one can see is nuts man
Must be the northern thing. UA-camrs not sharing tips.
Thanks for the input. I only do that because in my area, the crappie population is so down because there's hardly any regulation and so many people keep whatever they catch regardless of size. But thank you for watching and the feedback I really appreciate it!
@@FishingWFrijoles79 I mean I can understand that I’m in Indiana me personally if I go crappie fishing I catch maybe 10 with only 5 being keeper’s and that’s a good day so I know how you feel I’d maybe try to educate people or reach out to the ones you see doing it at least you aren’t like most people that don’t like feedback I’ll definitely keep watching ur videos
200% Agree!!
Those yellow bass are delicious. Kinda a pain to filet but worth it if you don't have enough crappie for dinner.
I've never had them, sounds like it's time to try them. Thanks for the tip bud!
Nice video. Love crappie fishing. Good eating. Looking forward to your next video.
Right! I believe walleye and Crappie are the best! Awesome! Thanks for watching.
awesome video keep it up 👍
Thank you very much, I really appreciate it, I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
This is awesome! Great video!
Thanks for watching it was a great time I really can't wait till next season 👊🏽
How many inches the ski moves back from folded to unfolded position?
I apologize I'm working out of town right now, I will answer your question this weekend when I get home 👊🏽
Where. Dd you purchase the brackets from the ski to shanty
These are the ones I chose. They are very strong. I pulled my sled up hills over railroad tracks, with a snowdog, and they never froze up on me. I have a video on how I installed them. Any questions let me know. I went to Amazon and picked the ones that were 100lb to 209lb and comments mentioned Smitty Sled!!
Nice catches bro! I have yet to enter a tournament, too many peeps. But looked like you had a blast and that’s what its all about. 💪🏽
Thanks bro, it was fun, and it was my first tournament, and I think it went ok considering I've never fished that lake before. It was kinda tough finding them at first, but it seemed like you have to just wait on them because it's such a big lake they are constantly moving. Thanks for watching bro!
No mames Huey may bueno
Muchos gracias ese!
Thought I stop by say Hi! Heck of a day man, so many bass. Gotta love catching them though the ice. Sweet Quarry too and cool history. Glad you got at it before the warm weather ruins it. I am originally from Elgin, IL. Go Bears! Also.. Love that hat!
Wow, that's cool. Thanks for commenting Bryan that means a lot coming from you! I had no idea you were from Illinois, I always wondered why you were a bears fan living up north, lol. And yes, we just got a heavy rain storm. Our ice season is definitely over after this. You do a great job making videos, you got me hooked on Dellabay the rods are awesome! You stay safe out there and keep those kiddos fishing!
I think I will have to make a new one after seeing this video. Thanks for posting
I'm glad you enjoyed it, and I hope it helps. Thanks for watching!
Bro I’m laughing my ass off at the frijoles name . Saludos bro right lines !!
Thanks a lot bro tight lines to you and cuidado con el hielo!
I’d have gave a maki plastic a try with them biting that good. Nice video.
Thanks for watching I haven't tried any plastics this year. I usually start off the season with plastics but I kinda skipped them and went straight to waxies. I will give them a try next time out thanks again!
You'll find when you continue to name the lake you're fishing you will piss off a lot of people. But you're not from here so who cares, right? Let's all hope for ice in Illinois soon.
No one cares. Everyone's just tryin to have fun an catch fish. 🙄 not be stingy about it.
@@powerranger709garza3 Why don't you ask the people on the lake. By no one cares I assume you mean you don't care which is typical for your age narcissist.
@@curtanschuetz3434 Bro you don't even know me nor my age lol 😂 but keep acting like you do haha 🤣 but nah on a real note only stingy people like you make a big deal let's just hog the whole lake, heck might as well build a boarder around wisconsin like Mexico huh grow up dude. Last time I knew it was free world bro. As long as they buy an outta state fishing license who fuckin cares
Awesome action! Man crappies through the ice is my favorite but don’t have much opportunity where I’m at. Where you using tungsten jig to get down faster? Didn’t know you made vids, hit that button for ya, keep it up
Thanks a lot bro, yeah crappies are definitely my favorite also! I mostly fish with tungsten jigs in my area, I've never had much luck with spoons or jigging raps. I always start off with soft plastics on a tungsten. If that doesn't work, I'll switch to a wax worm or red spikes. Thanks for watching. I really appreciate it👊🏽.
I wanted to put some of those on my sled but I'm wondering if they're gonna drop when I don't want them too. My concern is when loading it in the back of my vehicle.
Good question, so my sled came with a cover that has straps with hooks. What I do is I hook the straps to the hinges and secure them that way so they don't drop. I'm posting a new video this weekend. I'll be sure to include that. Thanks for watching👊🏽
Maybe I'll pick you up on my way to WI. You bring the frijoles and I'll bring the 🌮 tacos.
That's a deal! I'm heading back that way this Saturday 1-21
What county is this Crooked Lake in?
It's in Marquette County just East of the Dells 👍🏼
@@FishingWFrijoles79 there is a Crooked Lake in Oconto County Wi.
Witch lake
Is that another name for this lake? I never heard that.
What kind are the hinges?
There are a few you can choose from but these are the ones I used www.amazon.ca/Mechanism-Hardware-Hydraulic-Furniture-Accessories/dp/B07LDBC4CQ/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=coffee+table+hinges&qid=1613175578&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&smid=A2S19KAYIQOOLR&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzVjUyVjNaNDhUSjk2JmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMTU3Mjc1RkhaOVVHMFpFT0ZMJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTAxMDEwODg2V04wU1dTNVUwRFcmd2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9waG9uZV9zZWFyY2hfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ%3D%3D
I'm interested how the shocks will fair when it's really cold.
Well, I've been out in the freezing cold twice so far, and it worked great. No tilting and rode very smoothly. 1st time out, I went uphill, over railroad tracks, and back downhill. I wanted to take a video, but my dang gopro batteries froze up. Going out again this weekend, I'll for sure post a video. Thanks for watching.
@@FishingWFrijoles79 that's good news then.
How is the side to side shake or tilting,
Thats a great question, ,and thanks for checking out my video, it's very firm with only riding 8 inches above the ground only one recommendation that I didn't include in the video is to hook up your pull straps directly to the front of the skis and not to the tub and it will work perfectly.
Did you put a longer pull rope on it so you get less up angle when pulling?
I have the clam harness 8' not to long, not too short, gives a small up lift that may be needed in deeper snow but trust me, it doesn't lift too high.
Link plz
There are a few different brands to pick from some actually come with bolts, but I think it's best to pick your own. Good luck, let me know if you have any other questions. www.amazon.ca/Mechanism-Hardware-Hydraulic-Furniture-Accessories/dp/B07LDBC4CQ/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=coffee+table+hinges&qid=1613175578&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&smid=A2S19KAYIQOOLR&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzVjUyVjNaNDhUSjk2JmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMTU3Mjc1RkhaOVVHMFpFT0ZMJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTAxMDEwODg2V04wU1dTNVUwRFcmd2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9waG9uZV9zZWFyY2hfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ%3D%3D
How long is your sled, and what length skis did you use? Thanks
Hey Rodney, the tub is 44 inches long, and the skis are 68 inches long, but I did trim the skis down to 60 inches to fit in my jeep.
Thanks for this video, great information!
Thank you , and thanks for Watching almost time👍🏼
