in my opinion, while it's important to remember stuff like time efficiency and balancing different game mechanics to maximize productivity, it's also important to remember that SV is a game that is meant to be relaxing. if you don't feel relaxed while playing it then it loses one of the key aspects that make it fun. there is nothing wrong with taking time to do things. as the last point said, fun is the priority here.

Pretty informative video even though I as a new player do a lot of this anyway since I have experience with other games having resource management. It's almost always "better to have more than you need then to not have enough when you need it" after all! But I wish you did give examples on exactly *how* to plan ahead since many new players (myself included) don't know what is ahead to plan for! You gave a standard "stockpile resources for future use" plan but that's pretty vague. Stockpiling resources without a plan to use them or a hypothetical threat to try and combat would mean we are basically either on auto-pilot until something happens (and that's a very bad way of playing games like this since nothing will get done) or trying to make plans for every conceivable thing (and trying to plan for everything has NEVER turned out well for me in those other games). The worms are a fantastic tip though! And the sleep early thing! Thanks for sharing those! Now I just need to actually STOP staying out so late to actually use the sleep tip lol I've probably given that robber at least 5k at this point! And I haven't even gotten to summer!

there is one other option to get candies and that is from the raccoon wife. it is a questline to get there (starting with the greenhouse construction) but after unlocking it you can buy candies for 20 golden mystery boxes (greenhouse construction->strong wind storm event over night->interacting with the remaining stump in cindersap forest and finishing the resulting quest-> raccon appears at the stump-> finish 6 requests of the raccoon to unlock the posibility of the trade, but this alone is not enough since foraging mastery unlocks the golden mystery boxes) depending on your personal luck i would say this might be the most consistent way to get candies since normal mystery boxes as well as golden boxes come by quite a bit (and you can trade normal mystery boxes to golden ones at a rate of 3 to 1 at the raccoon wife)
