As a non musical person who likes listening to music, it never occurred to me, which comes first. The tune or the lyrics? Very interesting to see how that process works👍
Yes mate for us i usually have a backing track wrote and laid down. andy listens to it in a trance like state grabs his pen and starts writing lyrics. we tried to capture this process on this video but there was no full backing track i was just jamming guitar live to a simple drum beat.

We wrote this in about a week or so , then decided to do a video .Original idea to mime , but ended taking the take , so wasn't a polished performance....pretty raw .That's how it went .
The guitarist is out of time (and maybe also out of tune) and the vocalist doesn't know the lyrics or timing. With a little practice, this would probably pretty cool!
Would love to rerecord this , some good lyrics by Martin.
