I made the first record with Tucker.Tucker and Sonny Pierce was in the same class at 'Torry Secondary School'. WE made the record at a recording Studio in the West End.Schoners was name.There were 2 songs on the record, 'Sixteen Candles' and 'Make me live again' I played guitar and backed Tucker many times, so did my brother, Robbie Benzies, I am Lennie Benzies.Tucker's sons might still have the record because Tucker's wife died of a broken heart. She died about 6 months after Tucker.

I actually played a short while with The Tangerine Machine at Inverurie Town Hall. Should also name The Copycats, Elgin Red Shoes, Nairn Ballerina Ballroom. Albert Bonici and Gordon Hardie the two promoters for STAG ENTS. (Stage Television And General Entertainments)

Gosh I remember the Tangerine Machine .. Inverurie Quine here … know a lot of these musicians.. happy memories 🤩

Memories. Came across this by accident. I played in bands in Inverurie and Aberdeen between 1967 and 1988 before I moved to London after graduating. Played with Brian Hosie, Ralph and Phil Grieg, Martin Johnson, Angie and also June. Brian Youngson. Johnny Barclay and his brother Bobby Vincent. Mike Wood, Kenny Logan, Teresa Moir, Billy Steele, The Tangerine Machine, Julians Garden. Played St Kays, The Place, Beach Ballroom and many pubs. I may have missed many names. Frances Smart. Davie Kinniburgh, Jim Watt, Jim ?(Bass player) Andy Lawson. Ted Trowbridge. Dave Harris. I am still playing here in London. 72 yrs young. I remember Sonny Pearce and the Facells and The Rhubarb and The Royal Teens. I remember Alan Taylor vaguely. And you vaguely. Scratching ma heid to remember others. Tucker. Ally Dawson of course and who can't remember that icon. I loved the video and your voice is truly amazing. Thanks for the memories.
