Maybe 3/4” stone with the stone dust Called 3/4” minus or stay mat would be better
Sweet video. Just bought one. If the points ever need replaced, im definitely going this route. Thanks for the video. I just subscribed.
Nice, but could be edited down to 4 minutes.
Was kind of surprised you torqued the head down and didn’t check your valves lash
I put a 90° elbow and about 5' vertical pipe on the end of my existing system, bringing it up, behind my right shoulder. Will see how it works out.
This is a waste of time and money. It wont last very long. If this was a good idea people would have been doing this for years. But it is not. It will crumble every time you drive over it.
I did this years ago, didnt do anything.
A very good video. Thank you.
Concrete will just bust up in 2 pieces the first time you drive on it turn into dust
Where is the link for purchasing the top link swivel. I couldnt find it on agri supply site. Thank you.
I wouldn't want exhaust in my face
Nice video 👍
An update video for all the people who are about to try to fix their affordable gravel driveways with concrete would be nice (:
Hey Josh, good video. If you have to mess with this again, try loosening the 2 nut/bolt connections at the base of both A-Frame arms where they attach to the frame of the mower deck. You'll get some wiggle room up at the top and it's a lot easier to put the swivel on. You may still have to remove those 2 long support arms, but maybe just loosening both ends of them will do the trick. I have the County Line 4 ft brush hog, made by KingKutter, I suppose, as it looks identical. I fought that thing the first time I had to deal with it and finally discovered this. The next time it was easy peasy.
In East Idaho a Steel building for a 24 x 40 is $77k and stick building I'm having built which is a 24 x 50 is $47k with concrete. Now I'm not sure what kind of steel they are using but that was a turn off right away lol. Stick built will work here. funny how things cost different in parts of the country.
I have a gravel driveway as well and have a hard time plowing the snow. I want to get a snow blower but I know the blower will spit the rocks out. But I want to rent a compactor and get a bunch of bags of sand and cement. My driveway is more leveled than yours and I don’t have any hills. Our winters in Montana can be brutal and they last a long time.
Great job on your information and video.😊
when haying the vertical is safer to prevent fires I've been told . . .
Not meaning to kick you in the shin please if you could invest in a better camera. The one you have when you move around it’s hard to look at without getting dizzy. Thank you sir for sharing.
Great job
Definitely need a mask
Do they have a chrome one?
Thanks for sharing!
No no no bad idea
You should make a video on how you route your rear light wires. Look neat
Any update Josh?
I bought a metal building. I got the welded trusses. The seller told me they can put the garage door wherever I want on the front when they show up on site, without having to have it pre-designed with a welded header above the door. Is this how it's done?
@Condor1970 Mine is bolted straight to the metal frame that they built. And it's a double door so it works fine.
Before rain caps we used coffee cans and put them over the exhaust when we weren’t using it.
How not to attach a top link ,would be an excellent title just saying
Please do an update video
I like that setup. My dad and i built his stick built shop which was 70k to do it ourselves. Building permit alone was 5k before we even moved dirt, additionally his plans to be confirmed my an engineer was 5500, so 10k grand just to plan it. We also had over 10k in equipment rental. But really dad was jusy paying to play and build his dream shop. I my self like your shop and it would be perfect for me. But to be honest the wife would just buy more decorations and take it over as a storage shed 😅
You would need to get control of your wife.
That monster energy bottle cracked me up! Gotta get highdrated before the task, right on! How's the drive way holding up?
What and where did you get the underlayment for your driveway?
You are a smart man. Look at what an Arizona company quoted me for a building on the Hopi Nation: A 40x60x10 with what we offer is going to be in the $150,000 to $180,000 range in your area.
So no rub ? With 30s like the xp? Even without changing a arms?
The rims offset 2 more inches on each side with the high clearance a arms at stock length. No rubbing at all
Do 30s fit with the stock a arms?
They should but i'm not completely certain that that they won't rub while turning sharp without an offset. My general was 60" wide stock and I make it 64" wide with the upgrade. If you have a 64" wide stance right now you should be ok
What is the new shiny thing on your PTO output? I was not raised with Tractors so I have no clue. It looks like an extension, but why do I see so many of them/why are they installed? My '54 has the updated PTO shaft for the correct size more new implements. Do I need that device as well?
It is an overrun clutch. It is needed on tractor the does not have a live PTO. Research your tractor and see if it does. I also have a video on the install.
Beautiful job! It looks new. Could you give me the exact paint number of the Rust Oleum Almond you used on the body parts of your tractor. I have a very old looking '54 and I want to duplicate what you did. What did you paint the exhaust system with. I agree! It really "Pops" against the red. I want to do the same. (Did the black stay on?) Thanks so very much!
Just regular Rust-o-leum Almond rattle can paint. Rust-o-leum black high heat rattle can paint
I have a King Cutter with the swivel top link and it wound not travel enough to mow on uneven ground. My fix was replaced the top link with a chain and that gave me lots of travel and basically made the mower float on uneven ground. My chain has D links on both end with the D link bolt going through the chain links.
im in northwest ohio and am having a 30x40 metal building built. none of the contractors that i talked to about the metal building gave me concrete contractors to talk to. im in the process now of trying to get quotes and they are all way over what i was expecting. i had a quote for $17k and one for $20k, and i was thinking it would be about $10k. for it to be permitted properly, they told me it had to have 36" below grade footers. the concrete itself should be between $3500-$5000. seems like quite a markup.
Nice tractor show. Wish there was more blue to represent...
I have a '71 2000 gas and each oil pan bolt hole has a bolt. There are curved steel brackets that wrap around the front and rear of the pan and the bolts pass through the brackets.
I was just thinking about if this would work. And yup. Someone has tried it. Thank you!
i just want you to let you know that your overrun clutch is damaging the inner thread for the pto cover cap. i have seen it on many 8n tractors because the tolerances are to tight. those overrun clutch designers have no glue what they are doing. so check your thread before its to late.
Purchase straight Portland cement, anything else is full of filler rocks, you already have the rocks. In Australia they use latex polymers for road stabilization, probably just floor wax tilled and packed down.
Beautiful machine and exhaust. 17:21
Nice job! Mine looks nothing like that....yours is immaculate.
Did you have washers on your head bolts other than on rocker arm shaft ,mine didn't just wondering if I should put some on there
Just the rocker arm shaft. All other headbolts was just the bolt itself
Had a hole in a dirt and gravel drive way where a small tree was pushed out ( young pine about 15 to 20 ft tall). Couldn't keep it filled. Filled it in for 2 yrs and would still come back. So, got the idea to fill it with some dirt and poured about half bag of of quickcrete over then watered it down real good. Problem sovled. Reappearing hole ceased to reappear! Lived there for 8 more yrs before moving and hole never did come back over the time i lived there.
Thank you, nice looking tractor. One option I was looking to do on my 8n was to put a catylic convertor on it. There is room for it front of the foot stool. Just not sure how effective it would be as it needs to be at certain temperature to be effective.
It woildnt ruin the broom it would wash out
