Those SD40Rs are neat....but the best is 9465 and 9466 in Brasil on the ALL railway....they have GE U23C trucks.

pain for me include Wayside horns and those icky K5CA emergency horns on Sounder's New Cabcars and MP40PH locomotives. VIA Rail's K5CAs don't sound as bad as the K5CA on Sounder's MP40PH locomotives

Its an interesting sight to see a former CSX locomotive with no CSX logo on the front, and the fact its a cab light unit too is also cool

I remembered so much pain from railfanning April 2023 thru April 2024. In April, I was in Ashland, and my mother was obnoxious when Amtrak #80 met a southbound. In June, I was west of Manassas, and my mother kept mugging me and stepped into almost everyone’s shot when a southbound came after NS K95. In November, I was in Point of Rocks, and in between a pair of locomotives, and Amtrak #29 (now #40), nothing came through within 3-4 hours. I was at Point of Rocks again in March, and my batteries were depleted fast. In April in time for the Solar Eclipse, I was in Ravenna expecting some CSX trains, but in between the Eclipse, it was either NS or nothing.

pain in me is when i missed NS 8025 (monongahela heritage unit) cuz it was hiding behind trees (i only got to see NS 4002 as a consolation)
