Nobody wanted my opinion but Evangelion is sh!t. It's some masterpiece for some 11-12 years old just entering puberty having an existential crisis. Just because of it's complexity and pulling off some biblical references . C'mon, nobody at that age understands their being that well .And when they watch evangelion they're like"woah this shit just blew my mind!!!!so deep!!! Shinji's literally me!!! My parents don't understand me!!! Gendo is just like my dad!!!" Bla bla. And gets traumatized for the rest of their lives. Anno just made this show as a coping mechanism of his regrets or what. Shoved his trauma to the kids. I thank God for not watching this show as a kid, might just have intensified my mental breakdowns. Most of the people I saw obsessed with evangelion watched this as a kid

I COMPLETELY AGREE!! A live-action adaptation is like saying something is wrong with the animated version. This is why I specifically hate anime live-action adaptations, even more so when it's some big western studio that does it. It's like Hollywood and other studios here don't take anime seriously and it misses me off to no end. Sure they've recognized and awarded Studio Ghibli films but nothing else beyond that. Overall, my opinion is that of, we need new ORIGINAL stories whether it's live-action or animated because at this point I just think there aren't as many good story-tellers/writers. When one does come up, it gets shot down because it may be "triggering or offensive"

You'd be surprised how many people won't watch animated things merely because they believe it's inherently for children. Of course that isn't necessarily true, but getting that across to those individuals is often harder than making the live action movie itself. Despite the fact the dragons are, in fact, animated as well. No, it doesn't make much sense, but that's kind of the reality of it.

It's kind of absurd that most of these "live action" remakes are like 80% CGI 😂 I agree with you; these remakes are simply about that bottom line. Nothing is sacred.

It really is boring, its not the most boring though. the movies all trick you into believing they're headed somewhere, and then right before it does it swerves off to something safe and ends immediately. They're not bad movies, they don't take special skills or tastes, but some of the best movies ever made? A claim these movies can't back up.

Yeah, Sonic 3 is THE stereotype of stereotypes. The ultimate trope movie. Not saying it’s bad, but it was very Hollywood predictable. Dying old man gives keycard “you’re the only hope” scene, mysterious motorcycle villain from previous movie comes to help the heroes, heroes team up with bad guy, long lost family member shows up & tricks grandson with fake bonding, betrays butler friend (Major Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 vibes with the father relationship), manipulated new villain makes main character “become him” with vengeance, teams up with main character to beat long lost family member, old villain sacrifices himself. Lots of tropes just with copyrighted characters. The dance scene was the best scene, I agree.

It’s a remake of a DS game That was sold for $25. Of course people are mad. The only way they could justify $50 price tag is if they’ve added completely new levels and made the game longer

It's a great movie but it is slightly overrated in my opinion. The story is great and stakes are tense, animation being amazing is obvious. But I think the climax is kind of dumb and some plot point are rushed. The scene with the pigs where she has to guess which are her parents has never gotten less random and rushed to me.

I will say, I watched Kaguya-sama subbed, and it was the funniest anime I've ever seen. Maybe it's just me but I think whether you watch it subbed or dubbed its just as funny and enjoyable to watch
