Yes! The first and easiest thing to do is to 1) turn off the outdoor AC unit. 2) remove by hand any vines growing on the coils. 3) use a shop vac with a wisk to suck the debris out of the coils. If I use a garden hose to wash out the dirt, itsbest to spray the water from the inside to the outside ofthe unit. That can be tricky becasue the fan blades can be in the way, and its difficlult to spray the top part of the coil. One would have to remove the top of unit to easily get to all of the inside coil.
