This video is about Pekingese Dog jumps into Oil Service Bay
Great video, great guide (THANK YOU!!). ONE NOTE FOR EVERYONE, for my 2012 Kia Sorento 2WD, that I tripped around for a bit (15-20 min), was releasing the connection for the sensor; there is a metal clip/fastener that sits on the OUTSDE of the connection point (so, toward the opposite side of the car, you can see it, not the wheel side that you're working on). You'll see it, there's a gap between the plastic connection and then there is a metal wire-like clip that holds the connection together (3 sided, slides INWARD and "squeezes" to hold the connection). Just take a flathead screwdriver and pry it OUTWARD (towards the other side of the car (gently). It should slide right out. Make sure you have the other finger on it so it doesn't SPRING outward and fling somewhere that it can't be found. I'm pretty good around cars and this one took me about 1.5 hours (I took small breaks, shut it.......). You'll just need to have some patience, it's worth doing yourself. Got it on Amazon for about $13.
Good
What other transmission from what car i can install in .my 2014 2.5
Talk about the ultimate backfire. So stubborn. Do the job the right way if ur gonna post videos dude smh.
How far away should I be to adjust the lights to the right height?
😮
Is it worth changing transmission after 300k KMS
It wouldn’t hurt, just do a drain and fill 3x and you should be fine
Cool, thanks
LOL 2:10 The sensor cable was never plugged back into the new hub. To my understanding the sensor is supposed to be programmed to the car is it not what the?
Good catch lol I plugged it after the video. No need to program, just plug and play
why does the ford manual say the trans comes out with out subframe removal?
It will just have to drop the radiator side a bit. Looks like the torque converter was stuck to the flywheel on this video
@@russellvinson1386 when I did the trans on a 2013 Fusion I just lowered the whole subframe. Made it way easier on the 2.5 I think ford was lying in their manuals?
You didn’t include the most important part………. How to do the actual replacement of the sensor. That sucks
It’s best to just replace the wheel hub with sensor
@@eze1987ful they ;pop right off with a flathead screwdriver. When installing the new pone, use a hammer and a block of wood to seat it properly. I know this is late, but it may help someone. Cheers.
Just like the other person said, use a flathead and light taps from a hammer, working your way around a bit at a time, and twist the screwdriver; slowly working your way around. Don't just bury the first tap and muscle it off. Then tap the NEW one in with a block slowly, working your way around so that you don't damage the part. Good luck.
What an absolute nightmare… I need to replace my rear main seal… what’s the average costs to do so?
Honestly I have no idea probably around $700
Okay this is the Front Wheel drive only vehicle. Mine won’t work this way..😢
That’s correct, if it’s a all wheel drive then you’ll probably have to change the wheel bearing itself which will have to be pressed out and the new one pressed in
Rubbish cars from Korea they are shit.
Will you sell the trailer?
I will just not right now. Maybe in couple months when I order a new trailer I’ll sell this one
@@eze1987ful ok. Keep me in mind when you are ready to sell.
@@edwinlok1 no problem, I’ll let you know
Got mine I can sell
@@brotransportllc8068 bought one already bro. You never hit me back.
How long did this job take?
I took my time so probably about 6hrs
Can you show where the input and output speed sensors are on the transmission?
Supposed to pull the sub frame all the way out before you start pulling the transmission.
Questions would the speed sensor cause the car not to run good , I have 2 codes that it's giving me , with the rear speed sensor.
I got a 16 fusion that needs a transmission, anybody in Michigan got a good price on doing it for me?
Great video, i’m sitting here at the dealership and they said it was $900 parts included, I wanted to have an idea of exactly what it took to do this work, I only wish I had the time to complete it myself. Exxon presentation to what it would take to complete thank you!!!
Dude just broke his steering rack in the process lol
So if I replace the hub inside the hub is another speed sensor that will make my dash lights turn off because I have the (abs, cliff control, and the car with the skid mark like image) on will all turn off I already scanned my kia and said read left speed sensor faulty will this fix my issue will this fix this issue ??
Yes just replace the hub and all the lights will reset when you start driving again
Will do thank's a billion have a great one 👍🏻👍🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I’m not a mechanic. I followed this video to the letter. Total success. I will say that the rotor did not come off nearly as easily as this. I had to tap it off as there was some rust and tap the new hub in place as the specs for the size were not exact. All is well. The ABS lights went off as soon as I hit the accelerator leaving the driveway. Great video.
Awesome!! This wheel hub is probably the easiest wheel hub I’ve ever replaced. Im happy this video helped you 👍
Great freaking video dude!
Thank you 👍
If you replace the transmission with a used one do you have to reprogram it?
No
My dashboard lights are again. I’ve changed the left rear couple of months ago. I’m in doubt, is the rights side now or there are front wheels sensors too ? Can anybody tell me for sure ? I looked under the car and didn’t see any front ones, but also i’m not mechanic nor do i pretend i know what i’m doing
Hey, you’ll need someone to do a diagnostic on all the speed sensors, that should pin point which sensor is bad
@@eze1987ful where are the front ones ? They’re not integrated in the hub just like the rear ones
Correct me if I'm wrong but is that drum brakes and pads? To me it looks like two different brakes system at the back.
It has drum brakes and pads. The brake pads sits right on top of the rotors and the drums brakes sits inside the rotors
The main brakes are disc brakes. However, it also has a small set of drum brakes inside the disc hub on the rear for the parking brake.
Does the replacement needs any programming in order to work properly? Injust replace my transmission on my 2016 Ford Edge SEL (Same exact model) 2.0l Turbo The reverse, nice and smooth, but on Drive has a slower pace. Any advise?
You might have a bad transmission pump, honestly have a shop do a diagnostic and see what they say
I have a 2014 fusion hybrid se I installed a used tranny from a 2013 cmax hybrid it worked without any programming 2 things to check when buying a used tranny 1) check the vin on ford website from the donar car make sure there is no recall on the tranny for that vehicle cuz some model are known to be problematic. 2) There is a part number on the trannys call the dealership and check if both tranny numbers are interchangable. Good luck!
Thanks for posting the video How many hour of labor would you charge with the cradle removed? Thanks I’m about to remove one of this Thanks again
I honestly don’t have a price because I’m a used car dealer and I normally do stuff like this for myself
good day to you. Is it possible to change the abs sensors without changing the whole hub assembly?
It’s possible but it’s so much easier and faster to just change the whole thing
Yes, I did and the ABS light is off, traction control light is off.......good to go.
The right way is to pull it out with the converter for that I had to remove the entire bumper radiator, fans and condenser then I got access to the intake manifold in order to get to the starter then you’ll have access to the torque converter bolts I rather do it that way than dropping the entire drivetrain lol
I’ll keep that in mind lol, when I reinstalled it I dropped the oil pan to get access to the torque converter bolts. It was my first time doing this transmission
@@eze1987ful I was thinking of that too lol
How many hour of labor would you charge with the cradle removed? Thanks I’m about to remove one of this Thanks again
@@IvanRamirez-fs3sf I charged 600 for laboraron start to finish
Any idea where I can get more info on this method ?
I was able to do one without removing the cradle completely. Reasoning being that customer didn't want to pay for alignment because of rack removal. Needles to say next time, I'm going to quote all that in my pricing. I am def removing the complete cradle. F that!!
I couldn’t get my transmission out because of the cradle. If I knew earlier I would’ve dropped the sub frame and oil pan to get to the torque converter bolts
How many hour of labor would you charge with the cradle removed? Thanks I’m about to remove one of this Thanks again
@@IvanRamirez-fs3sf let me look up the book time. Hold on.
@@IvanRamirez-fs3sf it flags at 10.4 hours for R&R. Personally I don't usually charge hours, I charge per job. Good luck bro.
@@eze1987ful the torque converter bolts can be accessed by removing the stater. The. Of course take a 15mm (iirc) and a medium sized ratchet and break them loose there.
DUDE YOU NEEDED TO REMOVE TORQUE CONVERTER WITH TRANS. NOT THE WAY YOU DID IT. IT IS NOT LIKE A MANUEL TRANS. NOOOBSSSSSS
Your right, but I couldn’t access the bolts from the stater so after I removed the Transmission I drop the oil pan and removed the torque converter
@@eze1987ful did you remove the plastic spacer that they have between the starter and motor/transmission? If you don't remove that, then yes, there's no access to the torque converter nuts.
That sure looked super easy!! Your music selection is perfect. Nice work
Thank you! Took me only 15min to do the whole job
Dang that looked painful!! I did it the same way except I pulled the oil pan off and removed the lower sub frame without the power steering rack. You are very tenacious!! Yea fords suck for that!
Yea I should have removed the sub frame from the beginning but I read some forms where they took out the transmission without removing the the sub frame. But as you can see I had to remove the sub frame with the power steering still attached to the sub frame lol
I looked it over before I did mine and it sure looked like it would go. It took me awhile to figure out that dang flex plate torque converter bolts also!! Oh well live and learn. Take care have a great day!
I hate fords
Why? This is an abnormally easy fwd transmission to remove
