In May 2015, Hoffman-Madison Waterfront, the master developer (led by PN Hoffman and Madison Marquette) of the 24-acre world-class, mixed-use, waterfront community The Wharf in Southwest Washington, D.C. was named by the Washington Business Journal as the Best Real Estate Deal of 2014. I'm just now hearing about this in 2024. I live right outside of Philadelphia. This looks amazing. I will be visiting The Wharf.
Great development but they should have gone for more classical architecture. None of these buildings will stand the test of time. New and cool now. Bland design. In 20 years they'll be looked upon like the Tiber development.
It’s terrible, super commercial area that no one can afford to live in….

Really considering moving here. Currently living in Alexandria but I been to the Wharf a few times (Anthem), and have fallen in love with the new design.
Yes is thuth is a" beautiful video" but the real is they are so rude. my son is menor and the security came to me to say, he is veto of this place for 5 year. do you know how I feel. I'm glad is camaras all over the place they can see what really happened anyway he did not break any rules is listed they don't give real explanation.
I hated when people boast about how friendly people are knowing people are fake as hell. My neighbor in DC 1996 was great (the Warf). We all knew each other and it's the place where strangers became friends every night. I loved those days. Now in 2018, all you see are uppity ppl on their phones, stuck up rude females, thirsty sexually frustrated violent dudes, and bunch of closed minded cliques everywhere, as well as a lack of community. I go to my old neighborhood and I'll say good evening to the people and EVERYONE just gives me a dirty look, like "Do I know you?" Everyone now is shallow and It's sad because I had great memories of the area. I got my passport and Visa and moved to a neighborhood in Rio Brazil where my other childhood friends been living. They told me to move away from that neighborhood years ago, the people there aren't right, go to Rio. I see why Rio is a great spor, the people here reminds me of the vibrant neighborhood I use to grow up in. DC has improved, but it lost its soul in the process.
I was down there the weekend it opened and it’s one amazing transformation
Yeah and the parking it’s ridiculous over price ...
This development is vulnerable to sea level rise and will likely be under water in just over a decade, according to projections. The developers and city officials clearly didn't prepare for this.
Completely agree, this is such an amazing project but it should have been built to anticipate sea level rise
thank you
Excellent work.
I was there for the inauguration ,it looks great.
This is going to be beautiful!
