They shouldn’t have canceled it Should do it every year

Yeah, this was a very unique place when it was the Illinois Athletic Club (IAC). I spent a lot of time there as a kid in the 60’s and 70’s. The video shows the “Mezzanine” floor, that had the fancy restaurant - which was always full. My father rented two of the floors that were strictly office space - but of the 12 floors in the building, I think there were probably only 5 floors for offices. There were a few floors of hotel rooms, as well as two “basement floors” that housed an Olympic size pool (with a “high dive” diving board), sauna, steam room, and barber shop. The top two floors were the gymnasium, with workout equipment, some of which probably dated back to the 1920’s? The reason it was two floors was because of the height needed for the full court basketball court. There were other floors that had billiards (regular pool and snooker tables), and there was a simulated golf driving range, which was way “before its time”!
