Delmia Vision Based object sorting Robotic Manipulator Simulation
VISION-BASED OBJECT SORTING ROBOT MANIPULATOR
Industry-specific modern sensor-equipped robots have improved automation technologies. Vision is the most efficient sensor system for gathering an extensive record of the surroundings in digital form. Information obtained using computer vision is more accurate in changing surroundings. In this context, vision-based object sorting is an efficient technique application for Fast-moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) Biscuit production lines. Common quality problems like Foreign matter mixing, shape distortion, size, over burn, under-burn, texture, and color, are some of the qualitative parameters that influence the quality of the product. Vision technology can track moving objects, and is often employed for video processing for tracking. Its algorithms can extract object features from video sequences, as well as to identify any changes by comparing the current image to a reference image. Thresholding techniques are also very useful in identifying the objects from the clustered environment. Hence in this work, an attempt is made to explore the application of vision-based object sorting information for industrial robotics for pick and place applications.
