Welcome to AZ Dragon Fruit! Join me for tours of my plants and cuttings, grafting, pollenating, and fruit growing and tasting. This channel is dedicated to all things dragon fruit and my journey to cultivating a dragon fruit jungle.

How to induce flowering?
Make sure the plant gets enough sunlight during the day
You can also move your plant into a greenhouse in order to create the optimal conditions
Prune any damaged stems or branches from the plant. This will help the plant focus its nutrients and the needed energy on growing the flowers
Make sure the temperatures are above 65 degrees (18c). If the temperatures are lower this might decrease the chances of a flower dragon fruit
Make sure the fruit has enough moisture! Although it’s a cactus, the soil needs to be kept consistently moist

Do you save and store pollen (Sugar dragon) to make sure you always have enough for cross pollination? I will try to make sure I cross pollinate to maximize fruit size and quality.

A nice mix of varieties. Interesting idea to let DF grow into a persimmon tree for some summer shade and winter sun when persimmon leaves drop. I will try that too.
Nice color and 17 Brix. Did you detect any notes of strawberry, melon or tart flavors? Any earthy (beet-like) flavors? How does it compare to other Nicaraguan types like Pride of Fallbrook, Cebra... Thanks for the nice video reviews.

Hello; I see only American Beauty as Self Pollinate; others are SF only; any other varieties that are SP?
For sure there is more you can Google that for me I do hand pollination for everything because I have too many and I want to be sure I have fruit
@@azdragonfruit Thank you very much for the quick reply. SF I see a lot online. SP, I see only American Beauty and Vietnam/Thai varieties. I see conflicting opinions regarding self-pollination for Halley's Comet, Condor, Dark Star. What's your opinion on these three?

I am thinking of removing Sugar Dragon, i find its pollen also produces small fruits. Do you have the same experience? Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

عندي الصنف الأبيض . عندما نقوم بتلقيح الازهار بعد اسبوعين تبدا بالاحمرار من اسفل الثمرة . ولم يتكون اللب الداخلي الذي يؤكل من الثمرة . ماسبب هذة الظاهرة ؟

Why does the white dragon fruit begin to turn red from the bottom of the fruit after successful pollination after two weeks and the inner pulp that eats from the fruit does not form?
